Shane and Marlen Roessiger, of Venice, Fla. are facing a $250 per day fine for hosting Friday night prayer and Bible study gatherings in there home that are attended by up to 10 people.  City officials are insisting that the prayer groups violate city zoning codes.  At the same time, many homes have large groups of people for Monday night football without penalty. 

Judging by the fact that the majority of Democrats at the Democratic National Convention wanted God taken out of the party platform, I must assume that Venice is a town dominated by Democrats.
