Dems Killing Jobs Left and Right

For years, the Democrats managed to outsource our nation’s jobs to China and Japan by deliberately enticing businesses to move their production plants out of the country. President Trump set about bringing those jobs back by adding tariffs and twisting the arms of major manufacturers. That’s the basic maneuver Trump pulled off over his four years in office. 

 

Now, in less than six months, Biden and his socialist thugs have wiped out all of those gains. 

 

He started off by shutting down the Keystone Pipeline project and telling workers to find some other vocation. He’s made it a point to shut down the nation’s energy industry and to increase America’s reliance on foreign oil. Just this week, the “administration” announced it is dropping tariffs that protected our steel and aluminum industries and the thousands of jobs in them. 

 

He and his stooges are no friends of American workers. But then again, as he said on the campaign trail, he doesn’t work for us!

WHY CAN'T TRUMP FIRE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES?

The duties and responsibilities of government employees are to serve the American public and obey Federal laws and regulations.  Almost from the inception of our Constitutional form of government, employees have either sought to gain favor with their elected bosses by donating to their campaigns and doing political favors, or elected politicians have required them to do so in order to keep their jobs.  

Enter the Hatch Act of 1939, which forbids the intimidation or bribery of voters and restricts political campaign activities by federal employees. It prohibits using any public funds designated for relief or public works for electoral purposes. It forbids officials paid with federal funds from using promises of jobs, promotion, financial assistance, contracts, or any other benefit to coerce campaign contributions or political support. It provides that persons below the policy-making level in the executive branch of the federal government must not only refrain from political practices that would be illegal for any citizen, but must abstain from "any active part" in political campaigns, using this language to specify those who are exempt:

• (i) an employee paid from an appropriation for the Executive Office of the President; or
• (ii) an employee appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, whose position is located within the United States, who determines policies to be pursued by the United States in the nationwide administration of Federal laws.  

President Trump inherited a White House full of Democrat political operatives who continue to actively undermine his administration at every turn.  But, the Civil Service Union protects their jobs, or so they would have everyone believe.  

Union or not, if they are engaging in political activities for or against the President, they need to be removed from their jobs.

THREE-WEEK EXTENSION NOT PERMANENT FIX

We all recognize that the President's agreement to reopen the government under a three-week budget extension is nothing more than a sham.  While Schumer and Pelosi demanded the government reopen before they would even think about discussing funding for a border wall, both have already made it abundantly clear that they will not provide a single dime of funding toward the border wall no matter what President Trump does. 

Nevertheless, when the three weeks pass without a resolution,  Trump will be in the position of being able to declare a National Emergency because he will have exhausted all other avenues.  As for the six Republicans who voted against him yesterday... Romney,  Alexander, Collins, Gardner, Isaakson and Murkowsky... they should all come out of their closets and switch to the Democrat Party; honesty is the best policy.

GRINCH SCHUMER EPITOMIZES DEMOCRAT'S FUNDAMENTAL PHILOSPHY

Some people propose that there's such a thing as "karma;" there's "bad karma" and there's "good karma." It's more or less a way of saying, "What goes around, comes around."  

Chuck Schumer has very bad karma.     

“On Friday, December 16, 2016, my colleagues and I in the Senate Democratic Media Center were informed by the incoming Democratic Leader's (Schumer's) office that our services were no longer needed,” said one staffer in a goodbye email to other Democratic staffers.  The story goes that, to make room for a new digital operation focusing on viral social media content, those staffers had to go.  

You and I know that such decisions are not made and then executed on the spot; you have to buy new equipment, train new people, create policies and procedures.... so Schumer and his Democrat strategists made this decision weeks, maybe even months ago.  The staffers to be terminated should have been notified when the decision was made and offered an opportunity to retrain for the new positions.  By law, those employees in corporate America have to be notified at least 30 days in advance of layoffs, but not in a Democrat stronghold.  The firings come as Democrats have dealt with the turmoil of being without a chairman for the Democratic National Committee and losing both the White House and the Senate majority. 

Waiting until a few days before Christmas was deliberate and thoughtless, and but one more example of why the Democrats lost in November.  Even Harry Reid knows better than to do that.  

May the fleas of a thousand reindeer infect his armpits.

TURN WATER POLLUTION INTO A PLUS

Coming to light in the wake of the Flint, Michigan water crisis is the fact that for years, water systems were built with lead-lined pipes in order to deter rusting.  Conservative estimates are that it will cost trillions of dollars to replace those pipes throughout the U.S.  

Does that arbitrarily mean that we have no intentions of fixing the problems and that Americans will just have to suffer through it?  

Well, the unemployment problem in this country is huge.  Think of what a positive economic impact it would be to put people to work on such a project, about the "new" money floating into the country's financial system and about the increased tax revenues to be generated.   This truly is a "shovel ready project" with profound positive impacts... not a boondoggle pipe dream of some imbecilic president.

OBAMA KEEPS SENDING OUR JOBS TO MEXICO

Carrier Air Conditioning, part of United Technologies, has become the latest in a growing list of U.S. companies moving their production facilities out of the country.  

The Economic Policy Institute has documented that “Between 1993 (before NAFTA took effect) and 2013, the U.S. trade deficit with Mexico and Canada increased from $17.0 billion to $177.2 billion, displacing more than 850,000 U.S. jobs.  More than 5 million U.S. manufacturing jobs were lost between 1997 and 2014, and most of those job losses were due to growing trade deficits with countries that have negotiated trade and investment deals with the United States,” the report states. 

Higher wages, the impact of ObamaCare, vastly increased business regulations under the Obama Administration, and high corporate taxes have combined to force American businesses to ship jobs overseas in order to remain competitive in the U.S. market.  

The greatest national economy in the world is sinking into oblivion under the weight of its own stupidity.

YAHOO DESERVES THE TOILET

Yahoo Chief Executive Officer Marissa Mayer stepped into it big time.  Yahoo has been tanking in the market and on their financial statements, and employees are worried about their future. She recently said there would be "No layoffs... this week."  

Given the company's decline, 10% or more of the company's jobs could be on the chopping block, and we all know that there just are not that many jobs out there in the marketplace.  So, it's cruel to try and make the matter into a joke.  

If that's the way the stockholders want to see their employees treated, with such disregard and insensitivity to their legitimate concerns, they deserve to be unionized.  When you treat your employees like dirt, they have every right to bite back.  

Such management attitudes are symptomatic of a sick business culture.  No wonder they're in trouble.

SUPREME COURT TO RULE AGAINST UNIONS?

I believe in the fundamental purpose of unions, being to keep employees from being treated like dirt by their employers.  But, there was a time when unions had so much power in this country that they actually struck fear in the hearts of most Americans.  

One of the things they got on was the ability, in many states, to force non-union members to pay union dues if they worked for union shops.  In turn, tons of that dues income was used to buy union influence in political parties, thereby ensuring that enacted laws would favor organized labor.  Ten non-union school teachers filed suit to stop unions from extracting fees from them to support political and other causes with which they disagreed.  

That matter is now before the Supreme Court and there are indications the Court will rule in their favor.  Such a ruling could strip public sector unions of millions of dollars, reducing their income and political power.

I don't believe anybody in this country should be forced to pay for political campaigns; I do believe dues money should be used to pay for the administrative costs associated with the management of the unions and the advancement of union objectives excluding politics.   People of any political persuasion should have equal rights to union protections.

THANK YOU DEMOCRATS!!!

I never thought I'd be thanking the Democrats, but they showed some rare patriotic Americanism yesterday; they defied Obama's demagoguery on the issue and participated in voting town the Trans-Pacific Partnership Trade deal, (TPP).  In a 302-126 vote, the House killed a worker aid bill that was tied to the president's main agenda item...legislation that would give Obama "fast-track" authority to negotiate trade deals.  

At the behest of Obama and his cohorts, details of the legislation were kept hidden from the public, just like the infamous details of the ObamaCare bill.  We'd have to "pass it to know what's in it."  Most Congressmen and Senators had no time to read the Bill when it finally came up for a vote.  House Republican leaders, who have been Obama's biggest supporters on the trade issue, said after the vote they could try again next week.  "We are not done with it," House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., said. "We need to finish this job."  That is their stance regardless of the fact that Americans are opposed to it. 

The legislation included no meaningful protections against currency manipulation by some of America's trading partners, whose actions have ruined millions of middle class jobs.  It seems to me that we should be concentrating on resolving our own economic problems, problems that have been exacerbated by the continuing flow of American jobs to other countries.  We should also be changing our tax laws and business regulations to encourage American corporations to bring their overseas investment dollars back into the country, thereby creating more jobs in all sectors of the economy.  

The proposed trade deal would not, in my opinion, improve things in the country one damned bit.

OBAMA TO HELP ILLEGALS UNONIZE

FOX NEWS reports the federal government has signed agreements with three foreign countries: Mexico, Ecuador and the Philippines, To establish outreach programs for teaching immigrants their rights to engage in labor organizing in the U.S.  The agreements are part of a broader effort by the National Labor Relations Board to get immigrants involved in union activism.  

It appears that the "Century of Negativity" in America has arrived on virtually all fronts.  Our country is now disintegrating into oblivion just as surely as is the Middle East, and there appear to be no cowboys with white hats to rescue us.

NEWS YOU HAVE NOT HEARD: OBAMA IS A TRAITOR TO AMERICANS

The rest of unemployed Americans be damned: Obama's new Executive Order provides that businesses will be paid $3,000 for every illegal they hire, according to FOX NEWS.  

And guess what?  Because of a kink in ObamaCare, businesses will NOT face a penalty for not providing illegal immigrants health care.    

Happy Holidays, America.

WHY BLACKS SHOULD REALLY BE ANGRY

What we hear coming out of the discussion about the Ferguson riots is a profound sense that the rest of us Americans are picking on blacks and that it has to stop.  I don't see that in my empirical world, but I don't live in Chicago, Philadelphia or Ferguson, ether.  

What I do know is that unemployment among blacks is far higher than it is among whites.  To me, that means not only that they are not getting adequate training for the job marketplace, but the current market for the jobs they are currently qualified for does not exist in sufficient numbers.  

Now enters the Obama immigration dictate, adding five million more unemployed bodies looking for the same jobs. 

If I were Black, I'd be damned angry, alright... at Barack Obama.

ABOUT THE MINIMUM WAGE

There's been a lot of talk lately about increasing the minimum wage.  I think the situation needs some realistic examination and analysis. 

Yes, the minimum wage is geared at those just getting into the work force and no, it is not intended to be a lifelong wage.  Now comes the BUT...

Up until about 2008, those working these jobs were either part-time going to school, or full time with some benefits and making more than the minimum by that time.  Then things changed.  ObamaCare came along and many of the businesses cut everyone back to part-time so they didn't have to get into more expensive benefits and/or pay fines.  At the same time, unemployment soared and a whole ton of people were happy to get those part-time jobs at minimum wage just to keep food on the table. 

Who invented ObamaCare?  While the percentage of unemployment is down, the number of people needing a job has gone up; who do you blame for that?  The answer is, if you'll take a moment to verify what I'm, saying... It's all due to Obama and the Senate Democrats.  The plain simple fact of the matter is that we need to jump-start the economy and jump-start employment, just as we need to cancel ObamaCare. 

So, how do you correct the problem?  It's too late to correct the Obama tragedy, but you can still get off your duff and go vote the Democrats out.  Target the people who are started this mess.  Do not be one of those sitting in front of the tube in December wondering why the country is upside down... DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

BLM EXISTS IN DISGRACE

Saturday morning, faced with hundreds of protesters and the promise of hundreds of more by the end of the week, the BLM summarily announced that it was pulling out of its hostile takeover of the Bundy Ranch near Overton and Bunkerville in Nevada.  Several protesters had been arrested, including one of the sons of the ranch owner, Cliven Bundy. Both Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval and Clark County Sheriff Douglas Gillespie both condemned the BLM actions. 

BLM has historically had rotten relations with ranchers and farmers, particularly in Western States.  The Las Vegas office has been particularly overbearing and arrogant in its relationships.  It has many times used ruses to drive farmers and ranchers from their lands.  In this case, the BLM claimed the desert tortoise was nearing extinction and that cattle grazing in the area had to stop.  It was around that time that one BLM agent allegedly told ranchers and farmers that the BLM would drive them off their lands.  In the meanwhile, the desert tortoise has thrived and the BLM is actually killing some of them off.  Yet, the land battle has continued. 

The Bundys moved to the area in 1870, long before the BLM was formed, and began ranching.  It was open range in those days; you could graze cattle wherever there was edible vegetation. The most recent confrontation was over Bundy's grazing of cattle on BLM lands, formerly open grazing lands.  At the heart of the issue is the lack of a fence to distinguish Bundy Ranch lands from lands supposedly owned by the BLM; the Bundy's were saying Friday that the lands in question were actually state-owned lands.  

During the standoff, the BLM refused to allow protesters near the site and confined them to two small "Free Speech" areas with a limit as to the number of protesters who could be at the areas and the condition that only one of the two areas could be occupied at any given time.  This is a glaring violation of the 5th Amendment. 

The BLM may be gone from the Bundy Ranch today, but they are not used to losing their battles.  You can bet they will be back; it's just a matter of time.

INCOME EQUALITY, MY BUNS

Contrary to what our Declaration on Independence says, not all men are created equal: some have high I.Q.'s, some have low I.Q.'s; some are muscular, some are not; some are artists, others are politicians.  To say that we are all created equally and that we are entitled to make the same income is pure, unadulterated horse manure.  

We have different levels of achievement: a brain surgeon whose techniques are unsurpassed and whose record of success is unblemished, and you have a general practitioner who barely made it through med school and whose chief claim to fame is that he has managed to practice medicine for twelve years without having his license revoked.  To suggest they should both be paid the same is beyond ludicrous.  

Requiring income equality stifles personal and economic incentive and growth.  Why should I bust my buns for $15 an hour when the fathead next to me, doing the same job, slacks off and makes the same?  Now then, if you have two people doing exactly same job and producing exactly the same amount of goods or services in exactly the same amount of time, then they should be paid equally.  

People need to be paid on the basis of their individual contribution to society.  If I wanted to live in a Communist or fascist society, I either would have been born there or would have moved there.  On the other hand, Barack, if you want to move me into the White House and pay me what you are getting paid to do nothing, I might be persuaded to change my mind.

NEW GOVERNMENT MINIMUM WAGE IS INDEED HARMFUL

I've heard it said many times on various networks over the past two days: "Obama's use of Executive Powers to raise the minimum wage for employees of government contractors has to impact on America."  Baloney.  

Obama is reportedly raising the wage paid by government contractors to $10.10 minimum per hour.  Now, just who do you think is going to pay that 39% pay hike?  Bids for government contracts will be inflated by enough to cover the new minimum wage plus benefits and payroll taxes.  The cost of the government purchase of goods and services will therefore go up.  You, the taxpayer, will have to fork that dough over. 

This unilateral Executive Power action by the President will also increase the upward pressure on the national minimum wage.  Faced with higher minimum wages, employers will trim their payrolls even more and also jack up the prices for the goods and services they deliver.  Coupled with the constant printing of money by the Federal Reserve, inflation will kick off and it may be rampant inflation.  

This ranks as one of the dumbest moves a President has made in decades... almost right up there with ObamaCare.

UNEMPLOYMENT FIGURES LIE

Even I was shocked when I read this statistic.  We've all conjectured about what the real unemployment figure is.  When you look around at all of the people who are not working and the hoards of people why buy their groceries with EBT cards, you get the definite impression that there are a lot more than 7.3 percent out of work.  Depending on who you talk with, that figure is somewhere between 16% and 22%. 

But, the figure I saw yesterday almost knocked me for a loop.  Long-term joblessness is up by 213% since the start of this recession. 

How do you come to grips with an astonishing figure like that?  And we want these people to pay out hundreds of dollars per month for health insurance?  Even with a subsidy, how can they afford it?  How can we justify sending billions of dollars to foreign countries when we're looking at a figure like this? 

Dear God, what have we become when our government fails to look after the well-being of its citizens?

UNEMPLOYMENT RATE ANOTHER OBAMA LIE

The 7.4% unemployment rate being ballyhooed by the Administration is a flat out lie.  I pointed out several months ago that Obama had changed the method of calculating the unemployment rate.  Here are the facts:  America remains mired in the Great Obama Depression. The true numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show an America that is in economic collapse. 

Almost 90 million Americans are out of a job.  The workforce participation rate — the percentage of adults who are participating in the work force — dropped again in July. It is now 63.4 percent, down from 63.5 percent; over one third of American adults are not in the labor force.  Only 47% of working American adults have full-time jobs.  2.7 million Americans are in temporary jobs.  The actual unemployment rate using the same measure used prior to the sneaky Obama switch is over 14%. 

These continued lies and misrepresentations are of no comfort to Americans pounding the streets looking for work.  They also fail to put food on the table, clothes on the back and a roof over your head.
