NOT YOU: NO, YOU CAN'T HAVE A TAX CUT

The ink wasn't even dry yet on the President's new tax reform package before Democrats across the country started conniving on how to deny us the benefits.  They simply cannot fathom the idea that we should be allowed to keep even a dime of our hard-earned money. 

California has raised their gas tax.  They now want to add a surtax of 10% on anybody who happens to make more than $1 million.  Faced with a mounting deficit crisis that will soon blow the lid off of their state government, California legislators are scurrying to find ways to screw the public and glam onto their newfound Federal tax relief.  

California is not alone in this quest.  Not only are states across the union eyeballing that tax relief, but the Federal government itself has already decided it wants that money back; it is looking at raising gas taxes, national park fees, and other sources of revenue.  

No, Mr. and Mrs. America... you're not entitled to any tax relief.  

Remember who the enemy really is come the November elections; remember who refuses to quit squandering our money.

BETTER THAN NOTHING

This new tax bill does leave a lot to be desired.  Tax simplification?  Seven brackets?  Investment tax credit?  Forget it.  

But, it's still better than nothing and maybe... hopefully... it's a start for better things to come.  

I just don't understand why everybody is so gleeful about it.  

All of this makes me wonder, of course... Does Santa Claus pay taxes?

WARNING! NEW TAX PLAN IS TRUMP'S OBAMACARE

I've said it several times in my various posts over the last two weeks: The new tax plan about to be shoved down our throats and being misrepresented as the best thing since sliced bread is nowhere near as good as every Member of Congress and the President would like you to think  it is.  Furthermore, it now seems that more and more people, upon taking a closer look at what the fine print says, are agreeing with me. 

• It does NOT make tax filing easier or more simple
• It does NOT reduce taxes for most middle income Americans

Yes, corporations will see some significant breaks and incentives, but you and I will not.  What they give us with the one hand, they take away with the other.  

It's a sham.  It's an exact replica of what they tried to do with the repeal and replacement of ObamaCare: one great big tube of bologna.

NOT A VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Here's something to make you regurgitate on during the Thanksgiving holiday: The IRS has admitted it illegally targeted Tea Party and similar conservative groups during the Obama years; the agency now expressly admits wrongdoing including screening applications for tax-exempt status based on applicant names or policy positions, subjecting those applications to heightened scrutiny and inordinate delays, and demanding of some information that has been determined unnecessary to the agency’s determination of their tax-exempt status.  

The Department of Justice, even under the Trump Administration, has also states it will not review or investigate the case.  

 America has just been given THE BIRD by the very administration we elected to clean up this Washington mess.  

Are they all corrupt... including Trump?

OBAMACARE: BEATING THE POOR INTO A PULP

The news is that ObamaCare premiums could by going up by... hold onto your pocketbooks... as much as another 70%.  Premiums in some parts of the country have already gone up by 100% or even 200% since ObamaCare was implemented.  Wages, on the other hand, have been rather stagnant.  

What's worse is that if you are too economically distressed to afford these outrageous premiums, if you drop your coverages altogether... you're going to be assessed a huge fine when you file your taxes and, or course, if you don't pay the fine... you're off to jail.  

The Democrats designed it; the Republicans have refused to change it.  If this isn't rape by the government, what is? 

Just how bad is it going to get before we Americans run every damned one of the jackasses out of the country on a railroad handcart?

HILLARY'S TAX LIES

Hillary is running around like Chicken Little claiming that Trump is wanting to reduce taxes on the rich so that he can save himself money.  "I can afford to pay a higher tax, so why can't he?" she smugly asserts.  

She fails to add that the rich game the system.  They hire accountants and tax lawyers to scheme how to take advantage of tax loopholes, something that we mere citizens can't afford to do.  Trump's plan is to reduce the tax from seven tiers to three, reduce the tax rate on the rich, and close the loopholes.  The net effect will be that the rich continue to pay the same or more dollar amount while at a lower overall percentage rate, meaning that Hillary won't be able to give $1 million to her own charity, write it off her taxes, and then gain the income back as a "consultant" to her own "charity."  The proof of what I say lies in the fact that the Clintons have over half-a-dozen "charities" which they use extensively to move money and hide taxable income. 

She also says she will reduce the taxes on the middle class, but an examination of her tax plans actually shows a net increase in taxes on middle income people.  She made the slip of saying, in front of an audience a few weeks ago, that "hell yes," she was going to raise taxes on the middle class. 

Still shuckin', divin' and lyin'.  That's Hillary.

ABOUT OBAMA'S COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS

Obama is complaining because American corporations are not only moving their jobs overseas, but now they're moving their corporate offices overseas as well, thereby avoiding the highest corporate tax rates in the world... America's.  

So, how does he intend to deal with the problem?  Well, he's going to add more taxes, of course.   

No wonder he doesn't want his college transcripts released to the public.

HEALTH INSURANCE COSTS OPPRESSIVE, CONFISCATORY

It's like a horrible game of Obama Monopoly... health insurance costs are going up another 30%.  In fact, the average annual increase in health insurance premiums since Obama took office has been 26% per year for six years!  

It's now gotten to the point were, with insurance being mandatory, the government has set the stage for people to begin selling off assets, closing savings accounts and cutting back drastically on their overall standards of living just so they can comply with this legal rape of their pocketbooks.  Turning this into a mandatory expense is illegal, unethical and an unconstitutional seizure of our hard-earned money.  In the meanwhile, the insurance companies, hospitals, attorneys and pharmaceutical companies are enjoying record-high profits.  

What's worse is that there is no sign that Congress or the courts are going to do anything about it.

D.O.J.STONEWALLS ON I.R.S.

The Department of Justice, charged by President Obama with investigating the IRS targeting scandal and the missing Emails, now has admitted to a court that they never even looked for those Emails.  Their reasoning, according to JUDICIAL WATCH is: "They claimed 'the servers would not result in the recovery of any information.'” 

"They also said they did not search back-up tapes because there is 'no reason to believe that the tapes are a potential source of recovering” the emails, and they had not searched the government-wide back-up system because they had “no reason to believe such a system…even exists.'” 

The IRS also admitted that it has only searched a database that it knows does not contain the missing records.  

So, what are we going to do about it my fellow Americans?

THE DESTRUCTION OF EVIDENCE

We've had lies, deceit and spins. This administration has turned the art of obfuscation into a science. 

It's graduated into destruction of evidence.  "It just so happens that the computers of six different top level I.R.S. employees, plus the computer of star non-witness Lois Lerner, crashed and all of those Emails you wanted between 2009 and 2011... vanished.  And, by the way, we have no backups.  So what?  What are you going to do about it?  So there.  Up yours."  

The fox is clearly in charge of the chicken coop. The chicken coop is in charge of your healthcare information.  The chicken coop is also in charge of the collection of your taxes. 

What are YOU going to do about it?  Nothing?  Are you going to let your Congressional delegation do nothing about it except deliver lip service?

MISSING I.R.S. EMAIL SCANDAL BREAKS WIDE OPEN

It turns out that emails from I.R.S. employees other than Lois Lerner have also mysteriously "gone missing." 

Oh my, the I.R.S. must have been the victim of one helluva lot of computer glitches.  You'd think they were hooked up with the ObamaCare computer, wouldn't you?  And isn't it amazing... flatly amazing... that the missing emails just happen to be emails that Congress wanted to see?  

Oh... I forgot to mention that they've also been recycling backup tapes as well, which is why they don't have backup copies.  Hmmm... I wonder what the real purpose of a backup tape is, then?  Doesn't this all kind of smell like Eau d' Toilette.

CAN CONGRESS STOP IRS ABUSE?

Sens. Jeff Flake (R., Ariz.) and Pat Roberts (R., Kansas) introduced on Tuesday the “Stop Targeting of Political Beliefs by the IRS Act.” The bill would protect the free-speech rights of 501(c)(4) organizations by prohibiting for one year the finalization of a proposed Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulation that would significantly limit the advocacy and educational activities of these groups. The bill would also prevent additional targeting of 501(c)(4) organizations by restoring the IRS 501(c)(4) standards and definitions that were in place before the start of the agency’s targeting of conservative groups in 2010.  

First off, we have to presume that those two dudes are about to be audited.  The IRS, undoubtedly under the direction of someone in the White House, is in the process of rewriting its internal regulation that applies only to 501 (c)(4) organizations to narrowly define permissible activities.  The re-write does not address another other sections of the code, such as 501 (c)(3).  Given this fact, we have to know that the White House is going to put on a full-court-press to stop the pending legislation in its tracks.  

From the observation deck, it will be interesting to see just who lines up for the proposal and who lines up against it, the November elections being just nine months away.  Odds are that it will never come to the floor of the House.  When the corrupt are in charge, the battle of good against evil is a dead issue.  We have to make drastic changes in Washington and the sooner, the better.

MORE GOVERNMENT OPPRESSION

THE BLAZE reports the IRS has been investigating a group of individuals in Hollywood for over two years.  The group, “Friends of Abe,” is a secretive and very private club for one of the rarest commodities in Hollywood: Conservative entertainers.  The group applied two years ago for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, which is far more restrictive than the regular 501(c)(4) status requested by many of the conservative groups targeted by the IRS.  The application has been under review ever since.  

As Eric Holder says, there's no evidence of political use of the IRS for paybacks and retribution.  Speaking of the Chicago Mob.....

800,000 "NONESSENTIAL" GOVERNMENT WORKERS

To me and Noah Webster, "nonessential" means unneeded.  Over 800,000 employees deemed "nonessential" by Obama & Company have been furloughed during the government shutdown.  I have to ask: If they are nonessential, what are they doing on the payroll in the first place? 

The average government worker earns $80,000 a year.  Can you believe that?  That's $69 billion a year we're paying for government employees who are not needed.  Plus benefits, office space, electricity, equipment, bonuses and government-provided Kleenex and toilet tissue.  

No wonder they're all ticked off at Republicans and Tea Party members!

ARE YOU READY FOR A $20 TRILLION DEBT?

Remember the great debt ceiling battle of 2009?  Remember how the Tea Parties got into the fracas and we were all sending tea bags to Congress?  Remember how Obama, Reid and Pelosi were all in a snit because those nasty Tea Party members, those racists from hell, had the audacity to tell our government that we'd had enough of their high-spending, devil-may-care attitudes?  

Just four years ago today, we were approaching a $12 trillion debt ceiling and the Republicans were vowing to dig in and respond to Americans who were scared stiff and sick and tired of it.  And today, we're at $17 trillion and looking at the same old question: When, oh when are we going to get our heads out of our butts?  But, one thing has changed.  I heard it Wednesday night on Fox, when  Utah Senator Mike Lee and Texas Senator Ted Cruz were on Hannity.  Now, it seems, we're ready to fund anything and everything, even the programs we don't like, in order to defund ObamaCare.  

From that, I gather we're ready to raise the debt ceiling right now to $20 trillion and let Obama fund abortions just for the ability to delay ObamaCare funding for another year?  Or, is the real cat out of the bag, that the Republicans are just simply ready to raise the debt ceiling again period, and all of the rest of the story is merely a song and dance, dog and pony show? 

I forget who it was, but someone at the time was proclaiming in 2009 that by the time Obama gets out of office in 2016, we'd be in debt $22 trillion.  "That will never happen," stormed Boehner.  Let's see, $19 trillion this year, $21 trillion next year and $23 trillion in 2016?  And the audacity of Standard & Poor's to downgrade our national credit rating because we can't get control of our spending.  No wonder Obama's suing them: They spoke the truth! 

But, here we go again.  Who cares if our kids and grandkids and great grandkids have to learn how to speak Chinese, right?  Why should we care?  Hell, while we're at it, let's even get rid of sequestering. 

I don't know about you, but I'm in the kitchen counting my teabags again.

CALIFORNIA LAWMAKER WANTS TO "CRAMMIT"

The liberals will never give up, and California has its share of them.  Lawmakers are nearing a final vote that would take away tax exempt status for any group that discriminates on the basis of “gender identity, race, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, or religious affiliation.”

In other words, the Girl Scouts cannot deny membership to a boy who claims he is really s girl, even before he has a sex change operation.  They cannot deny membership to transvestites or atheists, either.  Considering the nature of the pending law, I suppose the next steps are that you must deny membership to those who believe in pro-life; uniforms cannot have a U.S. flag on them; there can be no awards or merit badges for religious activities; they cannot pray during meetings; and all activities must be reviewed and approved in advance by the D.H.S.   

The bill was introduced  by Democratic State Senator Ricardo Lara who is NOT from San Francisco, but from Los Angeles' County's Bell Garden. 

I think those of us who are still dumb enough to live in this state should be looking for a new location.

I.R.S. PIPELINE FROM WHITE HOUSE

Former I.R.S. Commissioner Douglas Shulman visited the White House 157 times during his tenure; his predecessor visited once in four years.  Frankly, I think normal protocol would have Shulman interacting through his boss, Tim Geithner, who visited only 50 times during the same period.  This seems to suggest to me that Shulman was providing the White House names of new organizations applying for tax-exempt status and the White House was telling Shulman which ones to stall or deny; it also suggests to me he was probably being given names of individuals, businesses and organizations that the White House wanted to target for audits.  I think the personal visits signal that they didn't want to do this by email, memo or telephone, for obvious reasons.  

Of course, the White House is flatly denying any involvement.  Both the White House and the I.R.S. are insisting their activity ended last year when Shulman was asked about the possibility in a Congressional hearing; nevertheless, new people and organizations are coming out almost every day with I.R.S. letters dated as recently as last week which indicate the targeting continues, unabated.  

The plot thickens, hour by hour.

THE PRESIDENT AND MUHAMMAD ALI

Watching the Omnipotent One work the press yesterday on the White House lawn was reminiscent of watching Muhammad Ali work the ring in a major prize fight.  The ducking, bobbing and weaving exhibited by Obama was beyond classic; he made Bill and Hillary Clinton both look like greenhorn amateurs. 

The question from a reporter was whether or not anyone in the White House had known of the IRS issues before they broke wide open.  The Omnipotent One proceeded to say that he really wanted to address the specifics of the question, and then proceeded to say that HE, (not "anyone in the White House"), did not know anything about the Inspector General's Report, (not answering the question as to the IRS issues).  He immediately went on to the next question, thereby ducking a follow-up punch from the reporter. 

And, true to form, the White House came to Obama's rescue later in the day by saying tat they had "heard" that there was "some kind of investigation" ongoing at the IRS, but that they didn't know anything about the specifics.  

I think they're looking for a way to blame this all on an anti-Muslim video. (Where's Susan Rice when you need her?)
