Could Biden Policies Create Economic Disaster?

With inflation off to a roaring start, with fuel shortages cropping up in various parts of the country, with the nation's supply chain stretched to the limit, and with top economists warning that things are not looking all that good, Biden came out yesterday and threatened to go so far as to go back to Covid-19 lock-downs if people don't get vaccinated.

The citizens have responded with anger, frustration and outright threats. They feel correctly that children can't do any more home schooling, families can't suffer any more economic pressures, and that crime and illegal aliens are besieging our once healthy democracy. Just yesterday, I was reading that U.S. Bankruptcy Courts are preparing for a massive spree of individual and business filings!

But Biden and his cronies have made it clear: Shut up, sit down, bare your arms, put on your masks and get used to the new normal. And if the nation as a whole disintegrates, so be it? Somehow, I don't think Americans are in the mood to take any more crap!

Energy: Biden Doesn’t Give a Damn WHAT You Think!

One of the very first things Biden did when he entered office was to shut down the Keystone Pipeline project, which was to bring Canadian oil into the U.S.  In doing so, he caused the layoffs of thousands of workers and summarily told them to go find a different line of work.

Since then, Biden has been working to put an “excise tax” on gasoline and diesel fuels, a move certain to drive up the costs of delivering supplies, including groceries, to market.  Prices of food, gas, travel, hardware… everything is already starting up.  He’s topped that off by stopping the subsidy of fossil-fuel energy producing companies.

He made his agenda more clear this week when he stopped all work on oil and gas leases in the Alaskan wildlands.  He’s also said that he plans to totally eliminate the use of fossil fuels in the United States within 15 years, which means that the car or truck you just paid $65,000 for is already headed for the junk heap and you get to hunker down, eat the residual value and like it!

Computer Problems, Uncle Joe and Rabbit Trails

Unlike me, I’m sure you’ve never had a computer problem. I had one hit me mid-day Sunday; it was a dumb mistake on my part. I hit delete at the wrong time and, just like that, nine Email accounts disappeared into thin air. But yesterday, I managed to get everything back and working properly, all by myself.  I didn’t even have to call tech support in Bangladesh!

While you’re working on these frustrating things, sometimes your mind wanders off and along rabbit trails that have nothing to do with the issue at hand.  For example, have you noticed that all of your idiot “friends” who voted for Biden have now shut the hell up? Suddenly, with their potentate now in charge of the country, they have discovered that Trump wasn’t such a bad guy after all!

Trump spent all of four years trying to improve the economy and get jobs for Americans. Biden has single-handedly undone all of that in just two weeks. What a prince he is! By the end of his first month in office, Uncle Joe will have totally undone everything Trump did; then Uncle Joe can get going on his own agenda!

He’s got a long list and he’s anxious to get started:

  • Gun control, control, control
  • Get rid of Chinese import taxes
  • Release the rest of the prisoners from Gitmo
  • Make abortions up to and including a week after birth legal
  • Send another $1 billion to Iran
  • Redefine what is free speech
  • Pack the Supreme Court
  • Give citizenship to all Latin Americans
  • Make national unverified voting by mail legal
  • Trash the Constitution
  • Pardon Lisa Page, Peter Strozk, James Comey, James Clapper and John Brennan
  • Shut down Newsmax and One America News

And he expects us to sit still, shut up and do as we’re told.

Well, I don’t know about you, but I’m not going to play the game. I’m going to stand up for my country and for what is right!

MAJOR CITIES NEAR BANKRUPTCY

SPECIAL POST

We all remember the bankruptcies of Detroit and Orange County.  But, more major U.S. cities are precariously close to going down, mostly due to the fact that their pension obligations now coming due far exceed their revenues.  Take Dallas, for instance: they paid out $283 million in pension payments in 2015 and only had $115 million in pension contributions.  Houston has the fourth worst pension debt of any city in the country; there, not even a booming economy and a rising population of workers has made up for poor planning and bad financial decisions.

It was common practice for cities that were strapped for cash and facing union negotiations to cave in with larger pension programs in order to avoid giving large cash raises.   That was purely the epitome of "kicking the can  down the road."

Now, the ducks are coming home to collect.

The plain truth is that our entire country, across all segments of our economy, is on the verge of disaster.  Our only hope seems to be jump-staring the economy and getting tax and pension revenues up.

TURN WATER POLLUTION INTO A PLUS

SPECIAL POST

Coming to light in the wake of the Flint, Michigan water crisis is the fact that for years, water systems were built with lead-lined pipes in order to deter rusting.  Conservative estimates are that it will cost trillions of dollars to replace those pipes throughout the U.S.

Does that arbitrarily mean that we have no intentions of fixing the problems and that Americans will just have to suffer through it?

Well, the unemployment problem in this country is huge.  Think of what a positive economic impact it would be to put people to work on such a project, about the "new" money floating into the country's financial system and about the increased tax revenues to be generated.   This truly is a "shovel ready project" with profound positive impacts... not a boondoggle pipe dream of some imbecilic president.

OBAMA KEEPS SENDING OUR JOBS TO MEXICO

Carrier Air Conditioning, part of United Technologies, has become the latest in a growing list of U.S. companies moving their production facilities out of the country.

The Economic Policy Institute has documented that “Between 1993 (before NAFTA took effect) and 2013, the U.S. trade deficit with Mexico and Canada increased from $17.0 billion to $177.2 billion, displacing more than 850,000 U.S. jobs.  More than 5 million U.S. manufacturing jobs were lost between 1997 and 2014, and most of those job losses were due to growing trade deficits with countries that have negotiated trade and investment deals with the United States,” the report states.

Higher wages, the impact of ObamaCare, vastly increased business regulations under the Obama Administration, and high corporate taxes have combined to force American businesses to ship jobs overseas in order to remain competitive in the U.S. market.

The greatest national economy in the world is sinking into oblivion under the weight of its own stupidity.

NATIONAL ECONOMIC EMERGENCY?

SPECIAL POST

The Chinese economy is in such deep trouble that it has devalued its currency and its stock market is heading for the commode.  The U.S. stock market has started off the new year with the deepest loss in New Year's history.  Now, French President Francois Hollande is declaring France to be in a "national state of economic emergency" due to national unemployment and the influx of refugees from terrorism.

Both Japan and Germany also have faltering economies.  This means that the top five world economies are having perilous economic woes.

Economists in the United States are trying to put a good face on it, but even FOX BUSINESS guru Trish Regan is wondering if something big and nasty is not on the horizon.  And our president, who is always right and never wrong, is running around like the cock of the walk proclaiming that the country's economy is cured.

There needs to be a market reversal very soon, or we could end up in far worse shape than the condition we were in when Obama took office.

$66,000 PER REFUGEE

SPECIAL POST

That's the amount Obama intends to spend to bring each Muslim refugee here from Syria... 35,000 refugees at $2.3 billion.  Don't forget that we already have an historically high number of people in this country who cannot... cannot get into the labor force.  The average American who IS working is only making $26,000.

There will also be an adverse economic impact due to the increased costs of education in the public school systems, law enforcement, healthcare and welfare.  Add this tab to the costs of 10,000 illegal aliens crossing our border every month and I submit to you that this country has a problem... a big problem.

Its name is Barack Hussein Obama.

THANK YOU DEMOCRATS!!!

I never thought I'd be thanking the Democrats, but they showed some rare patriotic Americanism yesterday; they defied Obama's demagoguery on the issue and participated in voting town the Trans-Pacific Partnership Trade deal, (TPP).  In a 302-126 vote, the House killed a worker aid bill that was tied to the president's main agenda item...legislation that would give Obama "fast-track" authority to negotiate trade deals.

At the behest of Obama and his cohorts, details of the legislation were kept hidden from the public, just like the infamous details of the ObamaCare bill.  We'd have to "pass it to know what's in it."  Most Congressmen and Senators had no time to read the Bill when it finally came up for a vote.  House Republican leaders, who have been Obama's biggest supporters on the trade issue, said after the vote they could try again next week.  "We are not done with it," House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., said. "We need to finish this job."  That is their stance regardless of the fact that Americans are opposed to it.

The legislation included no meaningful protections against currency manipulation by some of America's trading partners, whose actions have ruined millions of middle class jobs.  It seems to me that we should be concentrating on resolving our own economic problems, problems that have been exacerbated by the continuing flow of American jobs to other countries.  We should also be changing our tax laws and business regulations to encourage American corporations to bring their overseas investment dollars back into the country, thereby creating more jobs in all sectors of the economy.

The proposed trade deal would not, in my opinion, improve things in the country one damned bit.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

CHINA'S NEXT MOVE

SPECIAL POST

China, knowing that Obama is a weak leader, has been encroaching into the South China Sea by turning coral reefs into islands and building military bases on them.  When Obama whined recently that the move wasn't nice, China basically told him to go pound some of his own sand.  CONSERVATIVEBYTE.COM is now reporting that China is planning to demand that the U.S. secure its debt to China by putting up American businesses and high-value land as collateral; in the event we miss a payment, they take over the country.

Now, just what do you think Obama is going to o about that?

HEY BUDDY! DO YOU HAVE AY SPARE CHANGE?

SPECIAL POST

The time has long passed when we should have been demanding an answer to the question: Just who is going to pay for this astronomical national debt?

David Stockman, White House budget chief under President Reagan, notes it took the United States 205 years to reach $1 trillion in debt, but only 33 more years to get to the current $18 trillion debt mountain. And he says things are about to get worse.

According to a report in NEWSMAX.COM, Stockman estimated today's federal debt amounts to 106 percent of GDP, and when state and local debt is factored in, total government debt is 120 percent of GDP – a load that would put many Americans in a homeless shelter if they owed it money on an individual basis.  That would be over $60,000 for every man, woman and child in the country.  Oh, I forgot: once you factor in the new illegal aliens, it would probably drop to $58,995 per person.

If you had to pay your share tomorrow, what would you do?

Considering what Moody's, Standard & Poors,  and other companies have said about our mounting debt,  I'm flabbergasted that this subject is not first and foremost in our national discussion.

Oh well, who cares?

TROUBLE ON THE ROAD?

SPECIAL POST

The last time I saw this much traffic on the roads of northern California was just before they pulled the rug out from underneath our economy in 2008.  You would have never guessed, considering the full campgrounds, hotels and motels that prices for everything were rising, led by gasoline at the pumps.  You would never know that some of the same ominous signs which preceded the last plunge are showing today.

Housing starts are heading downward; only apartment dwellings are on the positive side.  The economy shrunk by almost 3% in the first quarter of 2014, a very ominous sign.  While unemployment is down, employment is also down; at least 12% of the country's work force is out of work.  U.S. business investment was off in the first quarter.  Granted, there were some positive sides to the economic news, but the real indicator is that economists were somewhat surprised at housing starts and gross domestic product.

It could well be that the surge in travel over the 4th of July was due to the "last chance syndrome," where Americans size up the economy, international affairs and the general direction of the country and decide this may well be their "last chance" to get away for many months, or years to come.

OUR ECONOMY: THE PLAIN TRUTH

SPECIAL POST

Alan Greenspan, the longtime former head of the Federal Reserve, says that the continuing interference in the business sector by the government is causing long-term uncertainty that is undermining the economy.  "The first and most important issue to recognize in the United States — and it's a problem to an extent in other countries as well — is that the level of uncertainty about the very long-term future is far greater than at any time I particularly remember," he said.  "The extent of government intervention has been so horrendous that businesses cannot basically decide what to do about the future."

What this tells me is what I have long suspected: If we got rid of the Obama philosophy of how to run the nation's economy, we'd be one helluva lot better off.  He has highhandedly changed every tenet of successful business that I ever learned.  Nobody wants to talk about what to expect in 2014, let alone 2020.  So, long-term planning is out the door.  This kills business investment and hiring.  And therein lies the answer to our struggling economy.

800,000 "NONESSENTIAL" GOVERNMENT WORKERS

SPECIAL POST

To me and Noah Webster, "nonessential" means unneeded.  Over 800,000 employees deemed "nonessential" by Obama & Company have been furloughed during the government shutdown.  I have to ask: If they are nonessential, what are they doing on the payroll in the first place?

The average government worker earns $80,000 a year.  Can you believe that?  That's $69 billion a year we're paying for government employees who are not needed.  Plus benefits, office space, electricity, equipment, bonuses and government-provided Kleenex and toilet tissue.

No wonder they're all ticked off at Republicans and Tea Party members!

UNEMPLOYMENT RATE ANOTHER OBAMA LIE

SPECIAL POST

The 7.4% unemployment rate being ballyhooed by the Administration is a flat out lie.  I pointed out several months ago that Obama had changed the method of calculating the unemployment rate.  Here are the facts:  America remains mired in the Great Obama Depression. The true numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show an America that is in economic collapse.

Almost 90 million Americans are out of a job.  The workforce participation rate — the percentage of adults who are participating in the work force — dropped again in July. It is now 63.4 percent, down from 63.5 percent; over one third of American adults are not in the labor force.  Only 47% of working American adults have full-time jobs.  2.7 million Americans are in temporary jobs.  The actual unemployment rate using the same measure used prior to the sneaky Obama switch is over 14%.

These continued lies and misrepresentations are of no comfort to Americans pounding the streets looking for work.  They also fail to put food on the table, clothes on the back and a roof over your head.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

CHATTANOOGA NEWSPAPER TELLS OBAMA TO "SHOVE IT"

SPECIAL POST

The Chattanooga Times Free Press greeted President Obama's speech about jobs yesterday with a rather verbose editorial telling Obama to take his jobs plan and shove it.  “Forgive us if you are not greeted with the same level of Southern hospitality that our area usually bestows on its distinguished guests,” the paper’s editorial board warned.

The editors blasted the president’s job plan as being nothing more than “a ridiculous government spending spree” combined with a “punitive tax increase on job creators.” They pointed out that even “regular folks with a basic understanding of math,” not just top economists, understand that these are “the most damaging policies imaginable” for the country at this point in time.  “So excuse us, Mr. President, for our lack of enthusiasm for your new jobs program. Here in Chattanooga we’re still reeling from your old one,” the newspaper concluded.

I would presume the IRS has already notified the newspaper that they are going to be audited.  Undoubtedly, the Justice Department is tapping the newspaper phones and data lines and who knows what the NSA is up to?  The only voice Obama enjoys hearing is his own and he has a tendency to go off the deep end when anybody, anybody in the press or media dares to challenge him, especially when they hit the nail on the head.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?

SPECIAL POST

Here we sit with high unemployment, a sagging economy and our jobs moving overseas.  The sad fact of the matter is, it's cheaper to send ore from the mines to the harbors, to ships across the ocean, to steel mills and back again than it is to make steel here.  It's less expensive, pound for pound, to buy a foreign-made car than it is to buy a U.S. made car.  The only people hollering for us to buy products made in the U.S.A. anymore are the unions, and they're the ones who chased all of the jobs out of the country.

Just stop to think: We're the ones who have the expertise and the resources; we should be selling our American-made cars to the rest of the world.

Now, our government is exacerbating the problem by piling on taxes and costly regulations.  That's why we have offshore marketing and manufacturing, and that's why the American economy is not cooking and people are out of work.  The only way to make the economy cook again is to reduce manufacturing and supply costs, cut through the massive red tape, reduce wages and benefits to competitive levels, and create a tax system that once again encourages investment in our country.

In order to accomplish these things, we need to clean the rats out of Washington D.C.  Don't you think it's time we started?

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

WELCOME TO THE AFTERLIFE

SPECIAL POST

I was immediately aware that things had changed when I awakened to no electricity in the house; I looked out the bedroom window to see if my neighbors’ lights were out as well, which they were.  I picked up the phone to call the power company and… no dial tone.  So, I reached for the cell phone; no signal.  What was going on?

Thinking there might be something in the newspaper to shed light on the situation, I headed for the front stoop.  The headlines explained everything: “SEQUESTER STARTS!!!”

The hookers who live down the street were lamenting because the Secret Service had cancelled its 2013 convention.  The cop who lives across the street, normally at work at this hour of the day, waved and explained that he’d been laid off by Obama.  “I always thought I worked for the city,” he shrugged.

Suddenly, there was a huge explosion in the sky.  As we looked up, the cop said, “That’s another mid-air collision, I’ll bet.  The Air Traffic Controllers have been laid off, too.  Planes have been going down like flies!”

“My God,” I exclaimed to myself, “It’s true!  Obama was right!  When Sequestering kicks in, the country falls apart.”

The preacher next door interrupted my thoughts. “I guess you know,” he snarled, “the Chinese just invaded and they’re taking over the country because the Navy can’t sail and the Air Force can’t fly.  No money, you know.  As for you, you’d better kiss your ass and your soul good-bye.  It’s all your fault, you know.”

“That’s right, you are a racist!” the cop yelled at me, running from across the street.  “I’ll fix your butt!  Give me your guns!  Give them to me right now or I'll give you life in prison!”

“But, I thought Obama was only exaggerating!” I protested.

By then, the hookers were in the front yard, too.  “You right-wing, bigot!” they scorned.  “Just how do you think we’re gonna get our welfare checks and disability payments?”

Most thankfully, at that very precise moment my alarm clock sounded and I was saved from my nasty nightmare.  “Not so fast,” Obama said.  “During the night, you died.  Welcome to Hades.  I’m in charge here.  And now, you know where I was born."

That’s MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

MESSAGE TO BOEHNER: DON'T GIVE AN INCH

SPECIAL POST

To Mitch McConnell and John Boehner:

When you meet with Obama tomorrow, do not sell out.  We HAVE to stop this damned spending and we HAVE to start someplace.

WE'VE done all of the compromise in the past.  It's time for THEM to step up to the plate.  No more taxes; cut spending.

One final point: Do NOT kick the can down the road again. WE AMERICANS have had enough.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

HOW TO REALLY CUT OUR NATIONAL BUDGET

SPECIAL POST

Every single one of us has to be arriving at the same conclusion: Our government has become just too damned big for its britches.

One of the oldest political tricks in the world is to:

  • find something that needs fixing
  • create a law to address it
  • create an agency to administer the law
  • hire a bunch of friends to run the agency
  • collect the political i.o.u.’s results at election time

We have more useless agencies in this country than we can shake a stick at.  Surely the country is more populous, but it would seem to me we could address that with a few more employees in existing agencies, not a whole slew of new agencies.  Certainly we can see that with Congress meeting year around, it doesn’t have enough to do and therefore spends its time creating useless and intrusive laws; likewise, the result of too many agencies with not enough work to do is too many regulations.

What we really need to do is to:

  • put Congress on a six-month schedule
  • slash the number of agencies to 2000 levels
  • absorb the employees into the remaining agencies
  • freeze hiring and let attrition reduce the number of employees to reasonable levels
  • eliminate all government regulations enacted over the last 20 years, with the stipulation that they can only be reestablished if Congress agrees on a case-by-case basis

In so doing, we will kill many birds with one stone and will cut the expense of our government immensely, thereby reducing or eliminating our deficit and putting us on track to reduce our debt, while freeing up money in the private sector to fuel the economy.

That’s MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
