It now is appearing that the FBI and Eric Holder knew of David Petraeus' affair late this summer, although the official Obama Administration story is that Obama knew nothing of the matter until Petraeus went to him to turn in his resignation last Thursday. Yet, protocol would have required that Holder notify Obama from the very outset. as well as Congressional Intelligence and Security oversight committees.
This raises the question as to whether or not the fact was purposefully suppressed and if so, why? The next question is why, when he certainly had information to the contrary, did Petraeus tell Congress that the Benghazi attack was the result of demonstrations against the infamous video when even officials within his CIA were calling it terrorism? Is it possible that the White House, looking to force support for its stance that the Benghazi massacre was the result of the video, told Petraeus he had better tell Congress the video was to blame or that news of the affair would be conveyed to Mrs. Petraeus? Could it be that the mistress, Broadwell, was actually recruited to have the affair with Petraeus because he was threatening to tell some unknown truth about what was going on in Benghazi?
There are many, many questions to be asked, including whether or not Petraeus will eventually be called to testify before Congressional committees investigating the Benghazi massacre and, if so, what might he say?
