The news this Thanksgiving is not good. The Baker's Union is shutting down Hostess Baking Company. Another union, trying to organize Wal-Mart employees, is going to strike on Black Friday. Still another union is marching on Los Angeles International Airport, threatening to tie up traffic for days during one of the biggest travel days of the year.
In the Middle East, a fragile cease fire between Hamas in the Gaza Strip and Israel threatens to turn the whole region into a blood bath of Biblical proportions. Obama is back in the country and Congress is home for the holiday. And, should there be any doubt that this will be our last Thanksgiving ever, the Mayan calendar ends December 21st; beyond that, by this time next year we will not have any guns left in this country with which to go turkey hunting anyway, thanks to Hillary and the United Nations.
No Wal-Mart, no Twinkies, no turkey and no guns. Bah Humbug!
