SATIN SHEETS AND BENGHAZI

SPECIAL POST

The Benghazi story first broke as September 11, 2012 was coming to an end.  That' s a tad over two months ago and every day that has gone by since has brought new revelations about the massacre, the resulting coverup and the players involved.  We have now two generals and two women intertwined in a salacious sex scandal that is almost as hot as the Benghazi ashes.  The story circulating around Washington is that everything was going along just fine until Broadwell caught Petraeus and Kelley in a restaurant, and with Kelly's hand on Patraeus' crotch.  As I understand the story, things went rapidly down from there, (play on words intended,).

General John Allen, the fourth player as yet uncovered in the scandal, (pardon the second play on words), is a friend of Petraeus and took his place in Afghanistan when he left to take over at C.I.A.  Obama's White House is denying that Obama was informed until last Thursday, but Holder is confirmed to have known last summer and certainly had to discuss it with Obama; protocol would require it.

Last night, the Pious High Potentate announced that he was going to hold a press conference, set for today at 1:30 PM EST, during which he will allow the press and media to ask questions about the affair(s).  It is not now known whether or not he will take questions about Benghazi, but it is interesting to know that he has stonewalled the bloody massacre of an Ambassador and three men and is being quick to get into the associated sex scandal.  It's also interesting to observe that the press and media which both virtually ignored that massacre are now frothing at their collective mouths over "email phone sex" and satin sheets.

Petraeus, now out of the saddles, (pardon the third play on words), was originally set to testify in the Congressional investigation of the Benghazi coverup.  His departure brought the news that he will not be testifying; White House Press Secretary Jay Carney shored that position up yesterday in his press briefing by stating that Petraeus would not be testifying due to the fact that his temporary successor would be.  There's also the matter of the report on the Benghazi massacre that Petraeus was in the process of completing when the sheets hit the fan, (pardon my fourth play on words).

In the final analysis, I'd be inclined to urge that we pay less attention to the sex scandal and concentrate on what really happened at Benghazi and what the real reason was Obama risked his Presidency in order to hide.  However, Broadwell's father has come forth with an Al Jolson admonition about the affairs... "You ain't heard nothin' yet!"

I can hardly wait.  Act 23 coming up, (no play on words intended,).

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
