The Strange defeat in Alabama portends trouble ahead for the "establishment." Strange was heavily backed by Mitch McConnell and other Washington "insiders." He was also strongly backed by Donald Trump.
So, what does that all add up to?
Well, with all of the tweets and speeches Trump made supporting Strange, Moore won anyway. Trump is the standard bearer right now for conservative Americans. One would think Strange would win hands down. But, there's that kiss of death from McConnell and others, labeling him as being a "good old establishment type guy."
The answer must be that people still like Trump, but they hate the establishment more than they like Trump. To me, this means that the public, Democrat and Republican alike, is totally fed up with the establishment. My conclusion is that every incumbent up for reelection in 2018 is on thin ice and that Americans are more than ready to throw all of the bums out.
That, my friends, is as it damned-well should be. Hell... they might even throw Nancy Pelosi out... dishwater and all.

I belong to one of three veterans organizations in my town. For the first time in a very long time, the three of us decided to get together on a joint fund-raiser to bring in much needed money to help local veterans, the youth and the community.
We decided to do a big, first-class Veterans Football Party on Super Bowl Sunday, with hot dogs, hamburgers, pulled-pork sandwiches, chips, nachos, chili and drawings for TV's, NFL memorabilia, etc. We were on the very verge of kicking this project off, with flyers and tickets already printed and ready to go.
Well, we're not very happy.
We put our lives on the line in order to protect America's freedoms, liberties and rights. But, it seems like there are a lot of so-called Americans who don't believe in standing up for our flag or our National Anthem. They put their self-centered political agendas ahead of their nation. And just to show they're damned serious about it, they ignored the outcries and doubled down by getting into our faces with it on Monday Night Football.
How can any veterans organization do anything to support those anti-American bigots?
They and all of the advertisers who support them... from Budweiser to Hyundai, from Carnival to Coca Cola, from Doritos to Go Daddy... you name them... they can all take their sorry, unpatriotic butts and head for the poor house, because we're not supporting them or their disgraceful and disgusting anti-social, unsportsmanlike conduct ever again.
Period.

Stop and think about things as they are today. You can't have a pond on your property unless the EPA gives its permission. In most states, you can't kill a wolf that is eating your poultry. You are compelled... compelled by law... to perform gay weddings, even if it is against your religious beliefs. You have to send your kids to schools where Christian prayer is outlawed, but Muslim prayer is not.
There are elite segments of our society who do not have to obey the laws, while the average citizen does. I'm speaking of politicians, Members of Congress, bureaucrats, Democrats, Clintonites and the like. Corporations are able to screw over the populace with impunity; anti-trust laws are routinely not enforced or ignored.
When those in the high offices of government are sent a message from the people that they want laws enforced and certain legislation passed, the "holier-than-thous" can totally ignore the mandates of the people and do what they damned well please... all while nodding their heads in condescending agreement that the people have spoken and their ways will be mended; but nothing happens.
And we, the people, blindly go along with it because, we live in a "free country."

News breaking Wednesday was that illegal unmasking of those Trump team members under surveillance continued at least until the inauguration, according to a FOX NEWS investigation. "Two sources, who were not authorized to speak on the record, said the
requests to identify Americans whose names surfaced in foreign
intelligence reporting, known as unmasking, exceeded 260 last year. One
source indicated this occurred in the final days of the Obama White House."
One has to ask, since we all know that Obama employees continue to work in various government positions even today, is whether or not these unmasking continued into the Trump administration and whether or not they continue to this day.
Every hour of every day that goes by brings more revelations about the extent of the rampant corruption and illegal activities during the Obama years. Why has nobody been prosecuted? Mr. Sessions, is this the "new American normal," where those in our government can get away with anything?

While barely managing to hold back tears and at the same time lamenting that Trump conspired with the Russians to steal her just and due election to the presidency, Hillary Clinton has announced she may well challenge the results of that election which occurred ten months ago.
And all of the left wing loons, the Democrats, the progressives, the "establishment," the media, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell... they're all so, so atwitter!
When are we going to wake up from this endless nightmare?

Why would the Pakastani I.T. guy who worked for Debbie Wasserman-Schultz be storing her documents and DNC information on a separate hard drive? Why was Wasserman-Schultz so adamantly opposed to an investigation into possible hacking of the DNC computers? Why did she raise holy hell about getting her laptop which her IT aide was using back from the Capitol police? Why, unlike any other Congressional Member, did she continue to employee this guy after an investigation began into his nefarious activities?
It is now alleged that Imran Awan transferred massive amounts of information, including government
documents and emails, to his own private Dropbox account in the sky, allowing him
to access the information even after he was blocked from DNC networks.
And just what did Awan intend to do with this information he was gathering? Certainly, he did not intend to save it to give to his grand-children; he undoubtedly intend to sell it. What was he going to do with all of the profits? Could it be he was going to split them with someone in order to guarantee continued access to the information for as long as possible?
If so, who would most logically be that "someone, and would the information being compromised be of any use to the presidential campaign of one Hillary Rodham Clinton?"

North Korea got a pretty stern warning when it launched its last missile straight over Japan. Then the United Nations has just piled on more sanctions and the little bastard has fired off another missile... over Japan.
With the slightest technological mistake or equipment malfunction, that missile would come down in Japan or on one of our ships and kill hundreds, if not thousands of people. Japan also has sovereign jurisdiction over the airspace above its nation.
This was an act of aggression tantamount to war and needs to be treated as such.

It sounds good, but think about it.
Who supplies North Korea with military and nuclear technology? Who continued to trade with them when they profess not to? Who wants North Korea to be a continued thorn in our side? Who wants to start a war, but doesn't want to be blamed for it?
China.
And every map I read indicates that China is directly connected to North Korea by land.
So, won't a naval blockade be just symbolic?
When are we going to quite pussy-footing around this issue and get serious?

I was in an American Legion meeting the other night where one of the members who lived far, far away was present for a rare and welcome visit. During the course of the meeting, someone mentioned that there was surely another American Legion Post much closer to where he lives, so why doesn't he move his membership?
The answer struck me to my core, because here was the answer to the current day American dilemma. He said, "Because here, in this room, with all of you here, we are a brotherhood unlike I have ever been able to find anywhere else."
You know... There were Democrats in that room. And, there were Republicans, Catholics, Baptists, Presbyterians, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Army, whites, blacks, young, old... people from every walk and persuasion of life. I've never heard a mean or cross word from any member of that Post to any other member of that Post. That's not to say we don't have our disagreements but... we talk about them, discuss them, and reach common decisions and conclusions to whatever issues we face.
No one tries to cram his positions down anyone else's throat. When the meeting is over and things are done, we sit down together and have a beer or two and move on until the next meeting occurs.
And there, my friends, is the essence of what is missing in America today. When we take a vote and one or two sides to an argument loses and, it's over. But, we're still together through thick and thin.

Everyday, we learn more and more about the corruption and coverups during the years of the Obama administration. These efforts were made on the part of Washington bureaucrats who appeared to be more than willing to violate laws and breach the public trust in order to protect Obama and Clinton and to further their anti-American agendas.
But, that's only the half of it.
Even today, long after the American public decided it had had enough and threw the chief evildoers out, the stench continues as entrenched government officials continue the coverups and ignore court orders to produce documents and testimony related to a whole gamut of sick and putrid tricks perpetrated on the American public. These people are actively thwarting investigations and even going so far as to undermine the government of the United States in their efforts to delegitamize the duly-elected Trump presidency.
In other words, while Trump may want to drain the swamp, he is being prevented from finding the plug. Until we do something about it, these scalawags are going to cling onto their positions in government, wreaking havoc in every way possible and imaginable.
The big picture here is that hundreds, if not thousands of them need to not only be forced out of government,, they need to be investigated, prosecuted and put in jails for a very long time; otherwise, there is no deterrent against more of the same.

While you're out there enjoying Labor Day weekend, just remember the people down in Texas and Louisiana, and the people who are going to get shot in Chicago because their mayor won't let people own firearms so they can defend themselves.
