OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TICKS OFF VETERANS

SPECIAL POST

The Obama Administration is in the process of creating a new medal to be awarded to remote operators of drones and cyberspace security experts.  The medal, to be called The Distinguished Warfare Medal, will rank higher honor than the Bronze Star or the Purple Heart.

The VFW feels, and I agree, that an act of physical valor where one puts his own life and safety at great risk is far more worthy of meritorious award than outstanding service where the military member does not put his own life and safety at risk.  The imbeciles who dreamed this award up must get their cue from Obama, who thinks that military veterans injured in the line of duty should pay their own medical costs.

The idea that someone sitting behind a computer in an air-conditioned room shooting at the enemy via a drone hundreds or thousands of miles away should earn an honor superior to the Purple Heart or Bronze Star is not only asinine, it is an outright insult to the men and women who serve and protect our country.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
