Does Benghazi really matter? Not according to Hillary Clinton. You will recall her famous statement, "What difference at this point does it make?" Of course, those of us who have been following this story know that it makes one helluva difference. Now, finally, the mainstream media may be taking notice of the Benghazi debacle.
There have been calls for General Dempsey to return to The Hill to testify again, and there are rumors that such a request will be made of Hillary Clinton. Testimony presented Wednesday directly contradicts everything they said in prior Capitol Hill testimony. Gregory Hicks' testimony makes it clear that officials were told to "clam up" about the massacre.
There were no bombshells in Wednesday's testimony, but it was clear that there has been a coverup and that most of the statements released about the Administration over the massacre were outright lies. Most of the liberal press and media which had previously ignored the story now seem to be entranced with the details oozing out.
Perhaps, at last, justice can be had. The press and media need to set aside political agendas and start reporting the facts. We're nowhere near the answers to this story and its coverup, but we're entitled to know the answers and we need the help of the press and media to make it happen.
