WE'RE SITTING ON A TICKING TIME BOMB

SPECIAL POST

One of the things I've always believed  is when someone threatens your existence, you take proactive steps to protect yourself.  If you have your neighbor screaming that he's going to burn your house down and you see a truckload of gasoline pull up in front of his place, you call the cops and grab your gun; you don't wait for him to start spraying gas on your house while he's holding a torch.  If some jerk walks into the mall and starts shooting, my concealed weapon will come out and I'll be looking for a way to take him down without killing someone else in the process.

Well, we now have North Korea with nuclear weapons and a missile capable of reaching us.  It's only a matter of time, and not very long at that, before they figure out how to decrease the physical size of the bomb and attach it to a missile.  At the same time, you have Iran putting a rush on their centrifuges and churning out super-enriched uranium as if there were no tomorrow.  Iran wants to take out Israel and North Korea wants to take out South Korea, but both nations would turn back flips if they could nuke the U.S.

Then you have Al Qaeda re-energizing itself, and other radical Muslim groups chomping at the bit to do another World Trade Center or similar event right here on American soil.  And, we have a President who seems incapable of doing anything about it.  Anyone who has watched over the last four years as he has dealt with international threats would conclude that he is a paper tiger.  That's a dangerous situation for the U.S. to be in; it encourages our enemies to explore ways to get at us.

The sad fact is that we have to constantly be afraid that we're going to wake up some morning, turn on the news and learn that Los Angeles or New York City has been nuked.   What's even sadder is that right now, and for at least the next your years, it doesn't look like the danger is going to diminish.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
