CHINA'S MILITARY GROWTH SURGES

SPECIAL POST

It has been no secret that President Obama wants to diminish America's military posture and strength.  He has overtly taken many steps in that direction and was the chief architect for the looming 50% cut in the military budget due in January.

While we've been shrinking our capabilities however, China has been growing theirs at an average rate of 11.8% per year for at least 10 years. Their modernization and expansion allows them to now perform a wide-range of military missions including long-range campaigns.  They have a new, long-range bomber armed with long-range missiles, their own new long-range stealth fighter-bomber, long-range transport and logistics capabilities and50 submarines, among other things.  Huge military spending is providing them with advanced cruise missiles, short and medium-range ballistic missiles, anti-ship ballistic missiles, and cyberspace capabilities.

Their military forces are geared toward a stronger presence in the South China Sea, which is provoking concerned interest from Japan.  And, they have gained the ability to interfere with U.S. Naval operations from Australia all of the way to South Korea and Japan.

One thing is certain: China is not focusing so many of its assets on the military just to pass the time of day.  When you grow your military like this, there can be only two reasons: defense and offense.  Once again, Obama's steerage of America comes into question and each time a question is asked, Obama looks more and more like he doesn't know his job.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
