As it turns out, Lt. Cmdr. Timothy White of the United States Navy had in his possession his personal weapon at the time of the Chattanooga shooting spree and he managed to get off a shot or two at the perpretrator, Mohammad Youssef Abdulazee.
The Navy is electing to file charges against White for illegally discharging a firearm on federal property.
