Fast & Furious, Benghazi, I.R.S., E.P.A., the press... While those scandals are severely rocking the Obama boat, word now comes that at least one State, Missouri, has turned over a complete listing of confidential state records containing Concealed Weapons Permit holders to the Federal Government, without any warrant or written request. Permit information from the state Division of Motor Vehicles and Driver Licensing, the repository for such information, was provided to federal authorities in November 2011 and again in January of this year.
The state Highway Patrol admits giving the list to the feds on two occasions on a "law enforcement agency to law enforcement agency" basis. While officials insist the list was provided for the purpose of matching names of people on the Social Security disability list with a history of mental problems or a mental diagnosis, there was no explanation as to why names were not provided by the Feds to be checked against the Missouri list, as opposed to what appears to be a blanket fishing expedition. The fact that there was no written request for the information is up to speculation. What else the information might be used for is also up for speculation.
As of post time, I have not been able to determine whether or not other states are involved; I find it difficult to believe that such a request would be targeted only to one state. It is therefore entirely possible, especially when one considers the misbehavior of the Obama Administration, that other states have complied and your name may have been included.
This is another "police state" move by the Federal Government.
That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
