WILL THERE BE COMPROMISE?

How sweet they can be in their pious ways: "We're going to compromise." 

Historically, the Democrats in the Senate have never compromised over a single damned thing.  Each side strikes its stance, the Demos refused to budge, you get down to the wire and the Republicans cave in.  And, historically, the Republicans have started off with the correct stance, so the country has been run by the Democrats anyway.  

Reid started off by gloating over the proposition that he and his Senate Democrats are now going to get their government-funded abortions and nationalized gay marriage, because the Republicans are going to compromise. 

Well, why not?  It may be that the vast majority of Americans are against both gay marriage and government-funded abortions, but that's not the issue.  The Democrats always get what they want, or nothing gets done.  

Reid made this whole point, that I'm going to be castigated for  making, quite clear just before the election when he stormed that there was no way, if Romney won,  that he and the Senate Democrats would ever work with Romney or the Republicans.  

So much for compromise and so much for the big lie.  Bend over America... get ready for Reid's definition of "compromise."  Well, my fellow Americans, you might as well bend over and smile, because YOU voted for it and YOU deserve it. 

And the Republicans can now drop their pretense and we can start calling it the Democratic-Republican Party again.
