The more I hear this endless hyperbole from the Democrats and the Republicans over how much they are going to stick it to us, the angrier I get.
I don't think there is a soul among us who would not gladly pony up some money to get us out of this mess if it was our fault that we got to where we are. But, we didn't blow these billions, trillions of dollars on worthless earmarks, bone-headed investments, pie-in-the-sky donations to foreign countries... it's an endless list of pissing away our money. THEY did it, both Republicans and Democrats alike did it, not us. And right now all they're talking about is how much WE are going to have to pay for it.
The Republicans and Democrats alike are wanting us to pay for their lavish spending, and they are not showing any signs of contriteness, either. No one... not even one single Congressman or Senator has had the "political correctness" to say, "I'm sorry."
Do you think for one minute that the perpetrators of this disastrous deed against our country are going to take any steps that might hurt themselves? No, they want US to be the ones to hurt. Has there been any talk about their taking a pay cut or fewer benefits, just to show us that they have some slight need to repent? Hell no, they want to tax more and spend more than that... that's Obama's answer to everything... spend more money.
I am angry beyond words at the whole pile of those worthless bums. If it was up to me, I'd say, "They are the ones who will look like crap if we go over the fiscal cliff, so let's go." I, for one, am sick and tired of having them shove it up MY rear end.
