REPUBLICANS VS. TEA PARTIES VS. CONSERVATIVE VS. ???

SPECIAL POST

Now that I've been out of the Republican Party for over a year, I think I can be a little more objective in pointing out what is wrong with the party and why it's not going anywhere... yet.

There seems to be a mindset out there that the Tea Parties are wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Republican Party; nothing could be farther from the truth.  There are plenty of Democrats and Independents in Tea Party organizations. Granted: Tea Parties may be predominantly more conservative, which account for the impression they are Republican affiliates, but that's not the case.

So, why does the Republican hierarchy, which really owes the 2010 elections to the Tea Parties, believe that it has to grind the Tea Parties into oblivion?  Maybe it's because the Obama Democrats have walloped them so badly in Congressional legislative matters that they feel they have to take it out on someone else.  What is certain is that a substantial part of the party consists of Conservatives, Tea Party members or both.  A large percentage of those are disenchanted and less likely to vote.

The Republican Party hierarchy needs to come to grips with the fact that they cannot win spit without a coalesced party; the Democrats, as sick as they are in their heads, are much more organized.  The hierarchy should be out there with welcoming arms, trying to find common ground and make peace with the Tea Parties and Conservatives instead of taking pot-shots and looking for arguments.  And they need to get their act together within the next few weeks, or they might as well sit out the 2014 elections and save their energy and money.

Illegitimi non carborundum.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
