CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET SHELL GAME

SPECIAL POST

Who pays for what and out of what fund?

Obama didn't want Americans to know the real costs to the taxpayers for ObamaCare, because he knew they would not go for it.  So, he took a pile of money out of the Medicare fund.  We're now talking about extending unemployment benefits and they're trying to decide which fund to steal from to cover that expense.  The stage is now set for one of the oldest shell games in history, where we don't know what our money is actually being used for, how much money is left over or what real needs must be met.

So much for transparency in government.

Now, I agree with the principle that we should not exceed our budgets.  I just about had a heart attack when I heard that Congress wants to spend money it doesn't have, and wants to balance the budget at the same time.  Congress said that?  Where can we cut?  That all makes sense and I agree with it.  But, let's not set ourselves up where we can't follow the money trail because it is a mixed hodgepodge of revenues and transfers.  That's when you get yourselves into trouble, right Mr. Madoff?

Illegitimi non carborundum.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
