Enough with this anti-gun crap. Good God, you'd think that every member of the NRA was a murderer and that every non-member of the NRA who owns a gun was a felon or a loon. In the old days in Salem, they took witches out and burned them at the stake. Is that where we're heading?
Let's be blunt. Law-abiding members of the NRA and law-abiding non-members of the NRA who own guns, combined throughout the U.S.... killed fewer people than those who were killed by abortions last year in any single state of the Union. Among those gun owners I just described, they own everything from single shot derringers to AK-47's and most own more than one gun. And it is my conservative estimate that every law-abiding gun owner this country has enough ammo on hand to last a long time.
I am not aware of any person licensed to carry a concealed weapon having used one in the commission of a crime... ever! There may be one out there, or even two in all of these years, but I've never heard of them. There are many, many situations in this country every year where the thug shows up with a gun and someone else, the victim or an observer, mitigates the conflict with their own weapon. Sadly, there are many situations, some involving mass killings, where no Good Samaritan in the vicinity has a a gun.
This gun control craze is all a massive rush to judgment. If you're going to hang me for carrying a concealed weapon, you've simply got to hang Sally down the street who just had an abortion and the doctor who performed it.
Otherwise, pal, you're a damned hypocrite.
