SPECIAL POST
Everyone is afraid of going over the "fiscal cliff." But, wait a minute; let's examine the facts.
Obama has been flat-out insisting on more tax revenues and he's stalling like hell when it comes time to talk about budget cuts. The Republicans, for all of their posturing and whining, are really not anxious to start cutting spending either. So, what we're likely to get is tax hikes and no significant or real spending cuts... just phantom cuts. Is that what we really want... more debt on top of this $16 + trillion?
The only way those idiots in Congress and the White House will ever learn that we mean business is force them to start cutting. They don't want to cut, so let's make them. Make them honor that deal they made last summer; that'll certainly get their damned fannies working together after the first of the year to redo the job right.
Let's quit the charades and game playing and force them over the cliff. I'll guarantee you they'll hammer out a responsible long-term deal by the end of January.
That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
