BLITZKRIEG OF NEW GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS

SPECIAL POST

The Obama Administration wasted no time in getting to work making your life more regulated and miserable.  As soon as the November elections were over, a flood of new rules and notices averaging 68 per day, started spewing forth from government agencies.  They are regulating everything from food processing to the types of coatings used on residential roofs and the thickness of toilet tissue

One ominous EPA rule asserts that rain and snow on your roof results in tiny particles of that roof escaping from your property and getting into storm drains, streams and rivers.  On that basis, you are going to be required as a homeowner to channel that runoff into catch basins and filter systems before it is discharged into storm drains.  If a homeowner fails to comply, the city or country may come and tear it down, install catch basins and plant grass, all at the owner's expense

If you have a large, paved parking surface, such as a car lot or shopping center, oil and grease and other contaminants from the asphalt itself will run off in a heavy rainstorm; therefore, you have to install a system to collect the water, including building a low “berm” around the edges of your property and raised driveways to keep the water from escaping your property line.  The water will have to be treated before being released.

Farmers and ranchers have to grow and use the right type of food that will prevent animal flatulence, which contributes to global warming.  A black box must be installed in all new cars that will record the driver’s every move… speed, direction, turn, acceleration and braking.  That information will become government property to be used in engineering better cars and determining the causes of accidents; it may eventually be turned over to insurance agencies and law enforcement to be used in determining your insurance rates and issuing traffic tickets.

There is even a rule that purportedly clarifies a "provision of the Organic Foods Production Act of 1990 and the regulations issued thereunder that requires periodic residue testing of organically produced agricultural products by accredited certifying agents."  This final rule provides that "accredited certifying agents must conduct periodic residue testing of agricultural products that are to be sold, labeled, or represented as '100 percent organic,' 'organic,' or 'made with organic (specified ingredients or food group(s)).'"

Over 6,100 new regulations were issued within days of the election. Not only do these regulations make it extremely difficult to conduct business without hiring a battery of attorneys and accountants, but they will literally suck billions of dollars out of our fragile economy.  They are also reminiscent of the staggering amount of laws and regulations laid out by the Hitler regime and other fascist dictatorships.

It’s way past the time when we should be pushing back on this blatant regulatory oppression.

That’s MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectively submitted.
