SPECIAL POST
I was going to simply keep my mouth shut over Obama's shabby mistreatment of Benjamin Netanyahu during these past few days, but simmering pots eventually boil over and mine has. Once again, Obama has displayed his total arrogance and ignorance in such a manner that he has brought discredit upon our country. And, he's our President.
I don't need to go into the detail about how Israel lost its homeland or how it regained it, or the continuous attempts by nations in that region to unseat them or even to destroy them. That's history. Now we have them there, our strongest ally in that area of the world by far, surrounded by haters of the Jews in countries whose governments are in tumultuous uproar, and our President chooses to belittle their Prime Minister on the very eve of his State Visit to the United States.
It was crass. It was downright rude. It was behavior unfitting the office of the Presidency. He probably let loose with a big, nasty fart as soon as they closed the door to the meeting.
Frankly, I congratulate Netanyahu for showing up at all.
A furor has erupted in the media with those who think Netanyahu was out of line for lecturing Obama. But, you just don't kick a friend when they are in trouble, and Israel has Iran and Hamas to contend with along with the as-yet unpredictable results of fallen monarchies and dictatorships in the area. In fact, Obama should have been opening up our national arms in comfort and support instead of embarrassing the Israeli Prime Minister in public. .
I would say that Obama should be ashamed of himself, and he should. Nevertheless, we are the ones who should be ashamed of ourselves if we don't get rid of this national atrocity in 2012.
That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
