THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS PRODUCTIVE COMPROMISE?

SPECIAL POST

Anyone in his right mind would have forecast that the disenchanted left would have laid down their intense anger by now and turned their attention to how to make the best of the situation in which they now find themselves.  After all, if they expect to have a voice in the future of the country and how that future might affect them personally, they need to find some accommodation with the November victors; continuing to be a thorn in the side of the Trump administration will inevitably bring about the prospect of their being shut out of the process completely.

Every hour of every day that goes by which is burdened by this continual rancor serves only to lead one to the conclusion that they must be left out; therefore, they will soon become totally irrelevant.. totally on the outside looking in.

What good will that position do them?

By seeking to come to the table and become  part of the dialogue, they can at least hope to bargain for some type of acceptable compromise.  By standing defiantly in the way, they eliminate that chance.   The only result of an "It's my way and only my way" attitude will be to isolate themselves away from those in charge.  It's all relative to the adage: "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem."

The majority of Americans are already beginning to look upon these people as obstructionists.  You and I know that if we need to get someplace and there's a roadblock, you get rid of the roadblock.

If I don't like the way things are, I'm going to jump in and see what I can do to change them.  I'll be damned if I'll stay at home screaming my lungs out and banging holes in the wall.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
