THROW THE BUMS OUT

SPECIAL POST

We all know that we've had a lousy president.  Given that, I fear there are expectations that a new kid on the block will get everything back on the right track.  I argue that, as it stands, that's going to be next to impossible.

The obstacle here is a corrupt, useless gang of politicians coupled with a hoard of inept, runaway department and agency directors within the Executive Branch.  I don't think that simply replacing those directors is going to solve the problem, either; they, in turn, are faced with a cadre of embedded civil "servants" who have pretty much had complete reign over their respective fiefdoms and kingdoms for decades.  In order to get rid of those guys, new department heads and the new president are going to need the 100% support of a Congress that is willing to clean up our government's act.

Both houses of Congress and both political parties have been complicit in the systemic devastation of our country.  The whole thing, from the White House and its various agencies to Congress, has become a culture of  "holier-than-thou" and "we can do what we please" elitists.  They're all so busy scratching each other's backs so they can get what they want that all limits and boundaries of governmental propriety have been erased.  In fact, Congress has caved in to Obama's agenda so many times that I am inclined to think the whole scenario is nothing but an elaborate dog and pony show.  "You pretend to be mad at me, I'll pretend to be mad at you, and we'll just go ahead, appear to cave in and then do what we want.  The public will never figure it out."

That's why I say, "everybody's got to go."  Every elected government official who is up for reelection this year needs to be tossed out into the streets.  They need to be replaced by responsible and capable individuals who are patriots and who are willing to roll up their sleeves and work together to restore our government to being one truly "of the people, by the people and for the people."  Collectively, they also need to work hand-in-hand with the new president to rout out the miscreants from the ranks of the various departments and agencies.  Without that cooperation and dedication, it just isn't going to get done.

We're the ones who have to make all of this happen and we need to be engaged in the process right now, searching for and recruiting the best candidates for the House and the Senate we can possibly find.

We can do this.  Our ancestors, those who came before us and fought tooth and nail to establish and define this nation, surely are entitled to expect no less.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
