The Clintons probably thought they would be the first to pull it off as a husband and wife team of Presidents in the White House. Indeed, Hillary came very close to the trophy in 2008 and now seems to be the likely choice for the Democrats in 2016.
That prospect begs the question: Why not Michelle?
