HOW TO FIGHT GUN CONTROL

What can you do as an American citizen to exercise and protect your gun rights, and to support legislators and law enforcement officers who share your views?

1.      Write the top officer of the agency who issued your concealed weapons permit; thank him/her and voice your support for them.

2.      Email all of your state legislators and Congressional delegation and let them know where you stand; ask them to support your views, even if you know they won’t.

3.      If you are not a member, join the NRA right now; you don’t have to own a gun to join.  You can get in for $35 and that’ll get you a magazine and window/bumper stickers, as well as discounts on a whole ton of shooting gear.  Growing NRA numbers will help send the message.

4.      If someone challenges your guns or your views, stand up to the challenge and tell them where to go and what to do with themselves when they get there.

5.      Be just as loud and insistent in your views as the anti-gun establishment is.

6.      Take note of every elected official who supports gun control and be prepared to vote against them in the next election.

7.      Quit buying products from companies or news outlets that don’t support your views.

8.      Learn how to shoot your weapons and take self-defense training.

9.      Do not allow any… any… infringement of your full and complete 2nd Amendment rights.

10.  If you see someone else abusing the right to carry a gun, such as shooting at signs or brandishing their gun in threatening manners, turn them in.  We can help to police our own ranks.

11.  Make absolutely certain your guns are not available to any child, teen or thief when you’re not around.

12.  Join a local gun club.

13.  Attend any local hearings or meetings where gun control is the subject.

14.  Stand ready to fight this to the bitter end.  Never waiver, never give an inch.  If these people win, they’ll want your freedoms of religion and speech next.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
