Harry S. Truman.
Dwight D. Eisenhower. Ronald W.
Reagan. George S. Patton. Abraham Lincoln. Daniel Boone.
Patrick Henry. There is a long
list of great and patriotic Americans who have served this country in the past,
too long to list here. To the one, they
have rallied to the cause of American democracy time and time again, waving the
flag and standing up for the ideals upon which our nation was built.
Where are they now?
Who in today’s America can we point to as being worthy of being
mentioned in the same paragraph as those above?
Conservatives would be quick to mention Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck, but
even these “giants” of conservatism do not have the stature I’m talking
about. I’m talking about the kind of
person who would readily give up their wealth and health to further the causes
of the country.
Where are they? Where are those who would epitomize the word, "True American Patriot?'
The Lord knows that we desperately need that true American
patriot to lead us out of this horrible mess we have allowed to fester around
us. We need someone who has the guts and
the fortitude to take the political risks associated with telling both parties
to quit their self-serving bickering and to get on with the business of running
the country, someone who is willing to stand up and tell the Obama’s of the
world to start packing and to apply the rules of treason to those who seek to
sell our secrets and subvert our democracy.
Why is everyone so afraid to take on the role, to shed the
shackles of “political correctness” and to find a common course toward
restoring America and taking back our ship of state from those who are systematically
destroying it?
