PUBLIC UNIONS GET WHAT THEY DESERVE

SPECIAL POST

America's unions have often done an excellent job of standing up for the working stiff against oppressive tactics of big business.  They have been responsible for the creation of a fair wage and the provision of vacation and sick pay.  Unfortunately, they didn't stop there.

Unions became corrupt.  They funneled millions of dollars into organized crime syndicates.  They bullied and coerced business into agreeing to pay exorbitant wages and benefits in order to fill their coffers with dues money.  Then, they turned their sights on local, state and national governments; the next thing we Americans knew was that we were literally being held hostage by the unions.

All of us, you and I included, are Americans.  We put our country first.  When the unions refused to help Governor Walker resolve a horrible economic crisis, they showed the rest of us that they are not Americans.  Instead of coming to the table and working with Walker's administration to find a reasonable solution, they threw down the gauntlet and dared Walker to do something about it.

Even with Walker's recall victory, the unions are failing to recognize where they went wrong.  They are blaming everyone and everything else for their loss.  But, we Americans can stand tall and proud because we had the fortitude and will to do what was right in Wisconsin.  It didn't have to be that way; the unions should have been part of the solution instead of insisting on being the problem.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
