WHERE HAVE ALL THE LEADERS GONE?

SPECIAL POST

One would think that in a nation of over 307 million people, we should be able to find one honest, hardworking and patriotic individual to be a great President for our country.  All we really need to make this country rock and role is a President, Vice-President, 100 Senators, 435 Representatives and nine Supreme Court Judges.  The total?  546 good solid citizens to lead our country which is a paltry .00018% of our population.  Oh, and 50 Governors and we're up to a walloping .00019%.

The problem is, we can't seem to be able to find even one and that's been the case for at least 22 years.

Maybe we're aiming for the wrong segment of our society?  Maybe we shouldn't be after career politicians who probably can't pass a Civil Service exam.  Maybe we should look beyond movie stars and famous people and set our sights on finding...honest, hardworking and patriotic people who want to do something positive for their country.

When you look around you and you see thousands of members of American Tea Parties who are actively trying to help our country move to a good direction, you have to think to yourself that there are probably ten times that many who could fill the ranks of good leadership in our government.

We're barely 18 months from our next national election and we have yet to identify a good strong leader for the White House, including the current occupant.  Yet, we seem to be stuck, at least in the Republican Party, on established names of career politicians who are simply going to give us more of the same crappy leadership that has led us to financial ruin, high unemployment, an economy on the verge of collapse, immigration problems that threaten to devour us from within, an educational system that is failing and ad infinitum.

Why?  Because the people who are choosing those who are going to run for office are career politicians themselves.  They are simply choosing from among their own ranks; this is nothing more than the Academy Awards of politics.

It's time for us to reach out and find those good leaders. We are the ones who must do this job, and we need to get with the program right now.  The message is clear: If we don't seek, we won't find.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
