GOVERNMENT CONTINUES TO SHAFT AMERICANS: A Possible Solution

What the democrats are doing with CIA files sickens me!! Its all political and has nothing to do with the country's welfare. How easily they forget that the whole thing started right after 9/11. Its like Monday morning quarterbacking. Have they forgotten what happened was something nobody in their wildest imagination could have predicted. It was a time for drastic measures with drastic decisions. I almost wish that we are attacked again, but such an event will of course be blamed on Bush. Had there been no Gitmo the terrorist would not have retaliated.

This administration is so corrupt it makes Clinton a saint. Consider cabinet members that have been confirmed not with suspicious character, but admitted flaws. They always have the right answers. With Geithner being "the only person in this country capable of solving the financial problems," the Administration seeks to "dumb down" America by insisting that only a tax cheat can be trusted to run the system. The head of Homeland Security is now saying that the memo affecting armed forces veterans went out without her
approval. But the biggest mess coming up is with the Merrill Lynch and Bank of America case. With the statement from the CEO of BofA to Cuomo it appears Bernanke and Paulson could be in big trouble. It is obvious the administration is committed to the Union with its new bailout money to GM.

I am buying a combination of brown and black shirts to hedge my bet on the future of this country.

And, I reply:

Your Congressional Representative Nancy Pelosi says that she would have screamed bloody murder had she known about the CIA "Torture." The top leaders in Congress are briefed regularly on national security matters. As the second in line behind the Veep for the Presidency, she receives more detailed and regular briefings. She is an outright liar when she says she didn't know anything about it. Yet, the media with the exception of Fox has not challenged her statements.

I agree that this administration, and Congress as well, are corrupt and morally bankrupt. (That's not to say that the Bush Administration was filled with saints, either). It is a well-established rule of law that creditors can force a debtor into bankruptcy in order to protect the assets of the debtor from being squandered or hidden away. The rule does require that creditors prove that the debtor owes more than it can pay.

Since the Congress represents the country as its "trustee," it seems to me that we lowly citizens could file involuntary bankruptcy proceedings against Congress, thereby freezing government funds and stopping the ridiculous and thieving bailouts; the country obviously owes more in debt than it can pay! Maybe some Constitutional lawyer could weigh in on that suggestion.

And, it seems to me that we could also easily declare Congress to be morally bankrupt as well. That's a "no-brainer."

Your other friend Miss California, who is slightly easier to look at, has been declared to be morally bankrupt by your liberal neighbors. That's like the pot calling the tar kettle black, as far as I am concerned.

When they allege that Geithner is the only guy in the country qualified to run the economy, they are in the same breath admitting that their political party is full of numbskulls. Napolitano said, before eventually apologizing for that memo, that she had "reviewed" it before authorizing it to be sent out. Obviously, she has proven her capability to lie as well, which qualifies her to run for the Presidency after Obama gets out.

The Bank of America fiasco, where stockholders were denied notice and opportunity to be heard over the bank's acquisition of Merrill Lynch for far more than market value and where the CEO of Bank of America is alleging that he was coerced into making that move by Paulson and Bernanke, could well be a red-herring designed to turn attention away from the recent disclosure that $350 billion of the first TARP bailout is missing in action. That snippit leaked out in Mid-March on a Friday night so it would get no coverage in the media, then was brought up again last week during the American Tea Parties but quickly buried again by the media.

There is a glimmer of hope in all of this, however. Fox ratings have soared in recent weeks, while NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and CNN ratings have plunged. That fact, and the recent American Tea Parties points to growing displeasure with the handling of our finances, with Congress, and with Obama. What I fear is that the liberals, when faced with such things, have a tendency to take to violent demonstrations and outbursts as a means to force their views on the rest of the country. This could be a very long and hot summer.

If you control the information conveyed to the people, you control the situation. The Soviets learned by having only one press, one broadcast network, etc. Well, what do we have now? Two, fortunately, Fox being one of the two and the administration through the FCC is trying to shut out Fox.

Yes, my fellow Americans, the idiots are running the country without impunity. The longer they get away with doing so, the more acceptable it becomes. This is why we, the patriotic Americans regardless of party affiliation, need to band together now to speak with a common voice and to stop this travesty.

I'm sorry, but I view the Republican Party as being ineffective has-beens. The Republicans had control of Congress and the White House and they could have tightened up and run a good ship, but they chose to get mired down in political arguments instead. They did not stand together in the financial decisions at the tail end of Bush and beginning of Obama. They waffle, and they do not know what their platform or beliefs are. They say they are conservative, but they do not stand for conservatism; instead, they move to the left trying to garner votes. Until they change that, I have no desire to be labeled Republican. I'm conservative, not far right and most definitely not a left-leaning Republican.

We need a new party. No American Independent Party, either. We need the Conservative Party of America. Most people don't know this, but the Republicans were once joined with the Democrats in a unified Democratic Republic Party. In essence, that's where we are right now. And, Michael Steele, as nice a guy as he is, doesn't have the balls or the ability to bring the Republican Party back into conservatism, which is the main reason the media saw fit to endorse him.

DON'T TREAD ON US!

Those on the thrones of omnipotence in Washington have launched an all-out assault on both those rights reserved specifically to the states as well as those reserved to the people. They have set their cross hairs squarely on what we Americans, regardless of race, color, creed, or religious or political affiliation believe to to be the bulwark of our freedoms. They have thrust themselves from their seats of power straight, smack dab into our living rooms. And, they have made it abundantly clear that we, the people, are the underclass.

They ignore our national cry to stop spending our money. They listen with deaf ears to the cries of Americans to stop the denigration of America and to address the genuine needs of the people. They ignore the poor and homeless in our streets and send our money to countries that spit epithets against us.

On Wednesday, April 15th, the people took to the streets and showed the world that yes, we will persevere, regardless of our differences, because we are one nation, undivided and standing for liberty and justice for all.

We Americans have now reached the point where the rubber meets the road, and we are not backing down.

And this just after the successful strike on June 3 where 1 million workers demonstrated their willingness to defend their pensions.

All in all we had 21 workshops: Marxism and women, what is Trotskyism, what is Stalinism, individual terrorism, what programme for the young socialists, revolution in Latin America, Venezuela, war and peace on the Indian subcontinent, and many more.

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - March 2009: “Mandatory volunteerism” is one step closer to becoming a reality in America, thanks to HR 1388.

Rep. Carolyn McCarthy [D-NY] and 37 other co-sponsors introduced this public service bill to the floor of the House of Representatives, where both Republicans and Democrats combined to vote 321-105 in favor. Next it goes to the Senate for a vote, then to President Obama’s desk for his signature or veto.

The title of HR 1388 - “Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education” (GIVE) - creates an acronym that is entirely more charitable than the reality of the bill, says the blog Bungalow Bill’s Conservative Wisdom. Bill claims it will “force your children into involuntary service to the government,” and points out that numerous critics of the bill agree that HR 1388 does indeed require Americans and their children to volunteer for community service.

MARXIST TOTALITARIAN REGIME TAKES GRIP ON AMERICA

They totally ignore the will of the people. They take from the rich, keep half and give the rest to the poor. They flaunt their positions and dare anyone to try and take them down. They belittle citizens and bully their ways into power. They plot to take away freedoms and rights of the people. Now, for the first time, despots rule the United States of America.

Could it be true? Consider this.

Eric Holder, the new Attorney General who had pledged to take guns away from American citizens regardless of what the 2nd Amendment says, has now announced that the Justice Department will "take care" in pursuing charges of crime and corruption" against public officials. He said this while dismissing charges against Alaskan Senator Ted Stevens that the Bush Administration had initiated.

President Obama, in talking to Europeans, has referred to Americans as being "arrogant and dismissive."

Back to Holder... There has been a move on by Senator Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to give a vote to the District of Columbia's Representative to Congress. On the surface, this sounds reasonable, but when you look for the reasons behind the move, it becomes clear that whoever would have that vote would most likely be a Democrat and Reid and Pelosi are doing everything possible to increase their grip on Congress. Holder asked top Justice Department experts for their opinion, and they concluded that giving a D.C. Representative a vote would be unconstitutional. Holder immediately ignored their opinion.

Obama has also done his share of ignoring; it seems to be a badge of honor in his administration if you are an income tax cheat.

The new administration has tarnished the right to contract in America; you can't lend money for someone to buy a house, because you don't know anymore if the government is going to come and take away your profit by lowering the interest rate on the mortgages you hold. You can't bargain with your boss for a bonus arrangement, because you don't know when the government is going to come in and strip you of the bonus, (NOTE: there is nothing in that statement that says I support what the boys at AIG did; knowing what shape that company was in, they would have been a lot smarter to quietly waive their contracted bonuses for the year.)

When an American puts a tea bag in the mail and sends it to his or her Congressman, it gets returned with a notation: "Return to Sender. An additional 20 cents postage is required for a surcharge. 3.5 oz or less, non-machineable." Congress obviously doesn't want to hear spit about your teabags or your protests.

And, if you don't like the way they are running the government, that's just too damned bad. By taking control of the 2010 Census away from the Department of Commerce, they now have the ability to redraw voting districts in such a manner that the opposition can't win.

They are nothing better than Mobster-styled gangsters disguised as politicians, pure and simple.

A MESSAGE TO CONGRESS FROM AN AMERICAN TAXPAYER

OBAMA'S ATTEMPT AT ABRUPT CHANGE OF NATIONAL FOCUS

Amidst a growing clamor over his risky, unproven and costly economic policies and reckless spending, and while faced with now sagging support that is beginning to transcend party lines, President Obama has resorted to an old and well-proven political trick: rattle the sabre of war.

In a lengthy Friday morning statement, Obama announced that he's going after Al Queda in Pakistan and Afghanistan and he's going to throw $1.5 billion a year at the project for the next five years to bolster Pakistan's economy and improve its infratsurcture. And, he made a lengthy case out of his 17,000 man increase of military troops in Afghanistan, as well as his "total" support of General Petraeus.

At the outset, you have to rally around the Prez and agree that we have a big and brewing problem that must be faced. Here's my problem with all of this hoopla:

There are hotels in Las Vegas that cost $1.5 billion to build. $1.5 billion is .015% of a trillion. It doesn't even measure up to the terminology, "drop in the bucket" when it comes to the real costs of what needs to be accomplished in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Petraeus asked for 30,000 troops, not 17,000. In short, Obama's flap off at the gums amounts to nothing more than penny ante horseshit.

So, why the dog and pony show?

Could it be that the Prez is trying to deflect mounting criticism of his domestic agendas and policies by "creating" a new emergency....deflecting focus from the economy to focus on Al Queda? Is he throwing out a "red herring?" Does he want the fox to chase down a new rabbit trail?

If Obama can pull this sham off, he'll make Houdini look like an amateur.

RUSSIANS SAY U.S. WILL DISINTEGRATE IN 2010: Could They Be Right?

High muckety mucks in Russia are predicting that the United States will fail in 2010. Baloney?

The economy is in deep problems and, despite throwing trillions of our hared-earned tax dollars into the empty coffers of banks, automakers, and other financial "giants," it's just not getting any better. The President is saying that he's not all that interested in what the financial markets are doing and Congress is turning a deaf ear to the populace. Oil prices have taken an abrupt turn upwards again, signaling further financial hardship on the horizon. Unemployment is rising, tempers are starting to flare and...could the stage be set?

If civil unrest breaks out in the United States this coming long, hot summer, could the President declare a State of National Emergency, suspend the Constitution, and outlaw guns? Could the President, under such a "National Emergency," shut off electronic access to the banks and our money, seize the oil companies and turn off gas at the pumps, and totally paralyze the country?

Let's take a positive look and assume that he's not going to do that. But.....just to pose the question, if he did, who would stop him? If thousands of Venezuelans and Mexicans, stirred up by Russia and Cuba, also started charging across our borders to the south, who would stop them?

My point is this: We Americans simply cannot be so glib and nonchalant as to jeopardize our freedoms and our democracy by not paying attention to what is going on.

IT'S DAMNED WELL TIME TO TELL THE TRUTH

We're so intent on couching our words these days, so afraid that someone will yell back at us for saying what is on our minds, that we have become an endangered species! We fear that, if we say what we think, if we stand up and put our opinions on the table, those who disagree will most certainly slay us after submitting us to days and weeks of torture on the rack.

These days, particularly in Washington, there are those who will do just that to us! They will do it to us because they know that we have become, at their insistence, a nation of spineless cowards who have forgotten that sticks and stones may break our bones, but words can never hurt us. By the creation of this atmosphere of fear, this modern-day almost-Constitutional requirement for "political correctness," they have assumed a power over us, a control that, in fact, we cannot break until do speak out.

One never learns anything unless they ask questions. "Why?" is a favorite one that comes to mind. "Why is it that this economic tactic you are trying with our money is going to work this time when it has never worked before in the history of mankind?"

To such a question, reasonable men and women would enter into a dialogue and you would discuss viewpoints, history, facts, and economic theory, and in this process you would undoubtedly come to some consensus; some would learn, some would teach, some minds would be changed and the end result would undoubtedly be better. Only those who don't want you to know the answer, only those who have hidden agendas, only those who seek to exercise total and unchallenged control... would deny you an answer to such a question.

We are not to blame for telling the truth, asking questions or expressing our opinions. Those who believe otherwise are nothing more than Satans in our midst.

In honor of a great American, Paul Harvey, we need to start exercising our freedom of speech and thought. And, we need to start today.

MY DEAR MSRS WASHINGTON, FRANKLIN, ADAMS, JEFFERSON ET AL:

Please stop spinning in your graves long enough to ponder these questions:

1. Did you guys ever anticipate that there would be a move made by some subsequent Congress or President to take away from Americans the right to defend themselves? Oh, so that’s why you wrote the Second Amendment? Wow.

2. Did you guys ever conceive of the possibility that there would be an attempt to silence the voices of dissent in this country? Oh, now I get it. That’s why you wrote the First Amendment!

3. Now, fellahs, if the boys in Washington ever grew too big for their britches and decided to start taking away the rights of the states or the powers of the populace, what then? So, the Tenth Amendment covers that?

4. Let’s take the case of where the Central Government takes money from its citizens and spends it, such as in giving it to banks and financial institutions, and then fails to account to the people as to exactly how that money was eventually spent? Really? Section Nine of the Constitution says you can’t do that?

5. Do you mean to say that we Americans would have the right to go after the perpetrators of such infractions against the Constitution and to remove them from office under Articles of Impeachment?

CHANGING MORTAGE RATES: Special Post

Imagine that you are a lender, such as a bank, mortgage company, etc. You make money by lending out money in return for repayment of the principal plus interest. You get the money you will lend out by borrowing it from the Fed or taking in savings accounts and you pay interest on both of those. So, when you set the rate of interest you will charge borrowers, you have to make enough money to pay the interest on the money you will borrow, plus your operating costs and plus a reasonable expectation of profit for you and your stockholders.

Along comes the government and says that they are cutting the rate of interest on money you have already loaned out. But, there is no provision to cut the rate you pay for borrowing the money you are lending out, so you are now losing money on your loans.

What is your natural reaction?

You stop making loans.

Here the Prez and Congress are, advocating and practically ordering that Judges reset interest rates on existing housing loans. At the same time, they ask why banks and mortgage companies are not making housing loans.

And you really think that these idiots in Washington have enough brain matter to lead us out of this economic mess we're in?

The major unanswered question hanging around in the dust of the economic stimulus bill is whether or not Fancy Nancy got her condoms. I’ve heard no recent mention of her $150 million for that Trojan project, pardon the not-so-subtle play on words.

Dirty Harry, no longer referred to as “Mr. Clean,” got his high-speed rail project from Lala Land to Vegas included, but the half-wit still has absolutely no clue; we're not going to have even a shekel among all of us left to gamble with after we pay for these “stimulating” economic bills. The Messiah is telling everyone to stay away from Vegas, anyway. Harry should’ve at least included $150 million for Viagra…it would’ve made for a nice package when coupled with Nancy’s condoms.

Is it true that Good old Barney shortened his name from Frankfarter? Anyway, now that he’s getting another $200 + billion to throw into the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae bad loan projects, he’s got to be having an erection that doesn’t require any Viagra! Don't you wonder why only a few "select" Americans will be able to qualify for these new loans? Maybe being gay will help. Sorry, Barney...It was a slip of the tongue.

One way to keep us from carping about their total xxxxxxxx to is xxxx us up with the “xxxxxxxx” Doctrine. That’s censorship, pure and simple and, when tied in to obvious control of what news we’re being allowed to get, it is tantamount to xxxxxxxx. Undoubtedly, I xxxxxxxx should have not have said that.

I was going to start off with a tirade about gun control. I’m far along enough in these Short Shots that I’ve run out of bullets and I’ll pull the trigger on that idea…. But, I do need to point out that gun sales are shooting sky high. And, it's not the crooks and thugs who are buying them. Those guys are smart enough to steal theirs, so they don't have to go through a background check.

I hear they’re working on a federal law to ban the use of cell phones while smoking. Evidently, people are getting confused and burning their ears off by mistake. Further, the word is that the microwaves are being infected with second-hand smoke.

Fear not, my friends. One more scotch is all I need to really get going…

No, we’re not going to have “National Health Care.” Yes, they will have a national database with all of your healthy history info, they will be able to monitor what medical treatments you get, they will decide who to pay for what services, and you’ll be given their list of providers. But, you’ll still be able to decide where to park, so that’s not really nationalized health care.

You probably have already heard this, but there’s another “stimulus” plan already in the works. It’ll starting trickling out next week after the Messiah meets with Congressional leaders on Monday. You might ask where all of the money is going to come from, besides the printing presses. I heard through the grapevine that they’re bringing back the Tea Tax. Personally, I think their plan is to drive us all to drink more and then to raise the tax on booze….

You’ll be relieved to know: there’s no truth to the gossip that, after Nancy embarrassed CitiBank into giving up its new corporate jet, she arranged to buy it with taxpayer funds to fly back and forth between California and D.C. The plane she actually had taxpayers buy is a much larger 200-seater. Don’t forget, Nancy, it’s against the law in California to top off your tanks……

What this world needs now is some good, reliable Storm Troopers to keep us from grabbing our guns, clinging onto our religions, jumping into our SUV’s and driving to Washington to throw all of those fatherless politicians OUT!

Here I sit, hangin' around the bar at the Nugget Casino in beautiful downtown Searchlight, Nevada, waitin' fer good ol' Harry to come back from Washington fer the holiday, and wonderin' who paid for that jet plane that flew that Senator Brown from his family funeral back to D.C. and then back to the funeral in Ohio so he could vote "Yes" on that stimulus thing.

Oh, Congress didn't do it? What a relief! Huh? The White House provided the plane?

Whaddya mean I should dummy up and have another beer?

THE KING, THE LADY IN WAITING, AND PRINCE CHARMING

Once upon a time in a land close, close nearby, (hereinafter referred to as “Humpty Dumpty Land”), there lived a handsome Irish King by the name of Barack, who lived in a big white castle surrounded by millions and millions of peasants. His Lady in Waiting, Princess Nancy, and his charming Prince Harry were ever at his beck and call, always ready and willing to make the King appear to the peasants to be a really good King and to defend his whims and nonsense to the bitter end.

Princess Nancy had her little House on the Hill that was hers to rule, and she strutted through the massive halls of her house with arrogant authority, as if to dare even the mightiest of detractors to open their flippin’ mouths. Her fraternal brother, Prince Harry, also had a House on the hill and he, too, strutted through his own massive halls with arrogant authority, etc, etc, etc.

One day, a famine plagued the land, and King Barack was fearful that the famine would ruin his tax revenues. If that were to happen, he would have no money to spend and, after all, everyone knows that he who has all of the kingdom’s money rules the roost. So, he called together his Lady in Waiting and Prince Charming and told them they would have to spend some of their money to get rid of the famine.

Now, they, being not as dumb as they looked, realized that in order to spend more money they had to get more money, and that would mean finding a way to raise taxes and to make the peasants happy at the same time. They thought, and they thought, and they thought with such worry; how could they please their King?

“I know!” exclaimed Harry, “We’ll borrow the money from the kingdom on the other side of the pond, and we won’t have to raise taxes at all until long after we and the King are dead and long gone! We’ll spend all the money the King wants to spend and we’ll all be happy as clams again!”

“What a fabulous idea,” the Lady in Waiting agreed, and they promptly wrote edicts and directives and told their house choirs to sing and sing along.

The peasants heard of the dastardly plan, and were very worried about all of the money their children and grandchildren would have to pay to the King in taxes to retire the debt owed to the faraway land. And the King, smooth talker as he was, gathered the peasants and made them feel much better. “Do as I say,” he smiled, “or the sky will fall on your worthless butts tomorrow.”

The peasants were furious, but what could they do? After all, he was the King, she was the Lady in Waiting, and the Prince was charming. So, they all zipped their lips. And the King borrowed the money and what money he could not borrow he printed anyway, and King Barack, Princess Nancy and Prince Harry spent money, and money and money.

But, alas, the famine did not go away. And all of the Kings horses and all of the King’s stooges could never put Humpty Dumpty Land together again.

ARE WE NOW UNDER DICTATORIAL RULE... ALREADY?

It has just come out that we overspent billions of dollars when we bought stocks and troubled assets from the banks and financial institutions...to the tune of 80 billions wasted!

Now for the icing on the cake:

President Obama is "on the muscle." He is practically demanding that the "Economic Stimulus Bill" be passed, and passed immediately. In doing so, he is making it plain that he does not care what a growing number of Americans think about the pork-laden bill, and he doesn't care that the price tag is ballooning, either.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has joined the President by saying that he will not tolerate the new group of 17 Senators who are trying to change the Bill into something that is more responsible to America.

The "Gang of Three," Reid, Pelosi and the President, are now threatening Americans that this Bill had better pass, and pass now, or something BAAAAAD is going to happen.

And, now they want it passed by tonight!

If we Americans are going to let them get away with this, we deserve what we are going to get and we need to bend over on the well-known freeway, pronto. We need to call, email, fax, telegram all of them; get them off their bar stools and let them know what we are thinking: This bill, in its present form, is pure, unadulterated el toro poo poo. We're not arguing the need for some kind of action, but this kind of action and cavalier treatment of we Americans by them is not acceptable. Repeat...NOT acceptable.

How do you justify hounding Daschle out of running for Health and Human Services Secretary due to his "tax issues," when you idolize Geithner and put him in charge of the nation's money as Treasury Secretary while he had his own "tax issues?"

WORDS THAT RULE THE DAY: "BE POLITICALLY CORRECT, OR ELSE!"

By the time we finished the second week of Obama’s Presidency, their “holier than thou” Pious agenda was already clearly established.

If you want to work for the Administration, you have to complete a questionnaire. One of the questions asks you if you own or have ever owned a gun, if so why, and has anyone ever been hurt with it? If you answer “Yes” to any of the questions, your application automatically goes to the bottom of the trash basket. They fail to ask if you have any kitchen knives.

“We have too many children in this country.” That’s why Nancy Pelosi stuck $150 million in the “economic stimulus” bill for birth control. China has a strict one-child-per-family rule. The gal who just had a litter of eight, plus the six she already had, needs to be severely ostracized, especially since she's from Pelosi's home state of California. YEGODS! She will be required to learn how to speak Chinese.

“There are too many fat people in this country.” Unless they lose weight right now, we’re going to arrange for them to have stomach bypasses. If they refuse, they’re going to prison where the food is not so plentiful and they can spend the rest of their lives among all of the illegal aliens. Make jokes about them. They’re fat, they deserve to have their feelings hurt. It doesn’t matter if they have medical conditions or not; they’re obese. Fat is ugly, and they are consuming more than their fair share of food. Yuck. Bad people. Yucky.

“Anyone who stands up and says what they believe, if it does not agree with what WE believe, they are Rush Limbaugh lackeys.” Limbaugh, Hannity and Ingram are an endangered species, because we are going to replace them or shut them down with the “Fairness Doctrine.” The Fairness Doctrine says you have to allow equal air time to those who hold opposing views. If no one wants to listen to the opposing views and the stations can’t sell advertising, then that means your view cannot be heard, because that’s unfair. Yuck! Bad talk show hosts! Yucky!

"Who CARES if Exxon made $45 Billion in the last quarter of 2008?" That was then, this is now and we need to stimulate the economy. That’s why we’re buying all new vehicles for all branches of government and we’re installing new commodes with seat warmers in the Capital. Don't bother us, you lowly commoners! Yuck!

"SUV’s have to go." They are gas guzzlers. It doesn’t matter whether or not the guy who owns one can afford it. WE are the only ones who should be seen riding around in big, heavy SUV’s, because we are the upper crust and we need to be protected against accidents and thugs with guns. Of course, once we make guns illegal, that’ll solve that problem.

And, we have to get rid of blogs. People who write bad things about us in their blogs are doing a disservice to this country, and that is why we need to clear out Gitmo, because we need a place to send the bloggers where they can’t get their hands on a computer. Everyone knows bloggers pose a worse threat to this country than terrorists. YUCKKKKK!

I have just learned they are in line to receive up to $4.2 billion of the $825 billion "economic stimulus" plan. The fund, labeled something like the "Community Stabilization Fund," was specifically written with ACORN in mind.

YOU voted for these crooks, not me. I hope you sleep well tonight.

ECONOMIC STIMULUS; Misplaced Congressional Priorities

I’ll open this opinion by pointing out a plain, simple fact: The economy is consumer driven. Keep that thought in mind why I lay out my case for the impeachment of Congress. That may seem to be a little tongue-in-cheek rhetoric, but you haven’t yet heard my contentions.

Let’s discuss this “economic stimulus” for a moment. Frankly, I believe it’ll be the greatest American rip-off ever conjured up. Now, I’ve stated, and I don’t think anyone can successfully debate, that the economy is consumer driven. That, of course, means that you and I control the economy according to our spending, earning, and saving habits. Congress, on the other hand, would have us believe that the economy is driven by the “fat-cat” big businesses, and that any stimulus needs to be directed to them, as if to say in the same breath that, if the consumer doesn’t want to buy your product or to invest in your stock, the government has an inherent obligation to compensate you for the consumer’s stupidity.

We all know that the Congress has become somewhat cavalier with respect to the American citizen. We are the proletariat, or the common fold unworthy of discourse. Congressional members regularly dismiss even the overwhelming will of the people by suggestion that “they know better” or “our plans are in the best interests of the country.”

Pepsi Corporation has decided to get rid of the 12-pack in favor of the 8-pack. The 12-pack fits quite nicely in most refrigerators, whereas the 8-pack requires you to refrigerate 16 cans as opposed to 12, if you’re planning on having any company. When I sent them an email of complaint, my answer was, basically, “It fits OUR needs and you are only the consumer and if you don’t like the way we package our products, that’s tough.”

I went into a Courtyard by Marriott in Denver for breakfast and was informed that breakfast closed at 10:00 AM and they weren’t serving anyone until 11:00 AM, and that would be for lunch. When I pointed out that I thought they were a full service hotel and I thought you could eat anytime, I got a shrug of the shoulder and a very fast exit.

On the other hand, I went to a glass shop in Fall River Mills, California, carrying a piece of ceramic glass that I had obtained from a competitor and had not measured correctly. The owner of the shop cut my glass down to the correct size and….didn’t charge me for it. In fact, he did it immediately…on the spot…and wished me a good day and “bring your business back to me” as I went out the door.

The point being that the economic stimulus packages seem destined to reward the Pepsi’s and Courtyards of the world for their bad management, while ignoring the good and independent business managers like that one in Fall River Mills, California. Is that misguided, or what? We’re helping out the BAD business managers?

So, how should these billions of dollars that Congress is bound and determined really be spent? How about hiring incentives? For every new employee you hire, you get a tax reduction of a certain dollar amount or percentage.

Why not give the consumer back the write-offs he had for interest on credit card debt and auto loans? Wouldn’t that encourage the consumer to buy? Wouldn’t that drive business?

Why not raise the unemployment compensation by $100 a week? Or $50 a week with an extension? Wouldn’t that enable the unemployed to spend more money on basic necessities, thereby also driving the economy?

Why not an extra incentive, besides low interest or favorable terms, to buy a new or used home? An extra tax break during the first year of ownership should help drive sales.

Take the guy who wants to invest and give him an investment tax credit PLUS a break on the capital gains tax for the next two years. Would that not drive non-government investment in stocks, bonds and commodities?

How about another direct tax rebate to the American taxpayer? The argument against that idea is that they, (government), learned the last go around that we Americans won’t spend it; we’ll just pay off debt or save it. Well, what did you expect us to do, given a crappy economy with worsening forecasts? The smart guy gloms on to every dime he can get and he buttons down the hatches in protection against the brewing storm. But, what if we do it again and double down the bet? You get twice as much as you got last time BUT…. You are going to pay taxes on it UNLESS you spend it as a down-payment on a large ticket item such as a house, car, entertainment center….something costing $2,000 or more. Will that drive some buying, and the economy?

Yes, as part of these ideas, we should push for repairing dams, bridges and highways. Those are needed results and the resulting increase in employment will help drive the economy. Energy credits and other incentives to produce results that will benefit Americans should be encouraged through tax credits.

But, and most assuredly, the “stimulus” in the works is not designed with these objectives in mind. The stimulus is designed to reward business that we consumers won’t do business with, based on a fallacious argument that big business drives the economy and that the American consumer doesn’t know shit from Shinola.

Given the Congressional disregard for what we Americans think and the direction we feel we should take, should they all not be impeached?

And that, my friends, is MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

INAUGURATION SPECIAL POST

Only God knows what is in store for us as this day and this era begin. What we mortals do know is that the greatness of America has been tarnished by a lack of emphatically positive and proactive leadership, the kind of leadership that brought us through World Wars 1 and 2 and the Cold War. This Ship of State has seemed lately to bounce along the waves of time without any steady course of purpose, embroiled in political bickering and a sea of internal and external animosity.

Early indications are that this President, whatever his mettle and intentions are, is going to have to swim like hell in order to distance himself from the perpetually ongoing fracas and quagmire on the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue, but that does really remain to be seen.

I did not vote for this man, but I surely know that he is our President and elected Captain of this ship, and I will not yet judge him for his actions under fire; rather, I will support him and I will pray to God for the strength of leadership that this country so truly needs at this juncture in its history.

Let the era begin.

NOT SO "NICE" POLICE COMING AFTER YOU

Already being touted in Congress is a new national law against the use of cell phones in an automobile... hands-free devices or not. Okay, as long as we're going to eliminate accidents, mirrors must be removed from driver side visors. Women's purses must be relegated to the back seat, out of reach of the driver. Cup holders must be removed from the front area and drive-in restaurants must be outlawed as well. Mobile radios in taxi-cabs, police cars, ambulances, tow trucks...they all have to go. Don't get angry, be nice.

The fat-squad will also be around to see you. Since you contribute to the national debt by being overweight, (no offset for sales-taxes paid being allowed), you, the fat one, will have to repay the penalty. Extra charge for flying if you need an extender belt. No meals containing more than 8 ounces of meat or poultry can be sold in a restaurant. Beer is outlawed. No desserts or candy to be sold anywhere. If you weigh in at more than 5% overweight for your height, sex and age, you must take a mandatory 10-hour course on proper diet or pay an extra 5% income tax.

Yes, the National Nice Police have been organizing their "Fix America" list ever since Obama got elected. You and I are the target. And, if we complain or refuse to comply, we are going to be ostracized, chastized and polititicized into either surrendering or moving to Canada. Your freedoms and mine are about to be trampled upon.

More tax burdens coming, fewer freedoms. Totalitarianism reigns?

The term has been applied to many states, including: the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, German Democratic Republic (East Germany), Socialist Republic of Romania, People's Socialist Republic of Albania, People's Republic of China, Democratic Kampuchea and Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea).

AMERICAN EMERGENCY: The Immediate Need to Procreate

I have recently been led to believe that the average American taxpayer works almost 50% of the year just to pay taxes... Federal and state income taxes, sales taxes, gas taxes, hidden taxes... By the time you add pass-through taxes, it's probably closer to 60% of the year, or 7 months.

I'm sure that news makes you angry.

Now, they're passing around bailout money like candy. Everyone is getting a slice except us. They don't even know where it's all going. It's kind of like what started all of this..... Those claims of innocence about not knowing how bad the bottom-line of the housing mortgage industry was becoming and boom!...we had a national emergency and threw over $1 trillion at it, ($350 billion in one chunk). Today, the same crew, (Frankfarter and Company), are standing around wondering where the $350 billion actually went and no one's talking. But, that's a story for another day.... Don't get angry. Get over it; there's more to come.

They want to pass around another $2 or $3 trillion. By the time our grandkids get shouldered with this additional bill AND interest, they're going to be working up to 10 months out of the year just to meet their tax burdens. That's totally unfair; we must agree on that.

The only way out is for us to spread that tax burden out among more people. I think that, if we put our minds and bodies to it, we can triple our population within 20 years. The key here is that, in 20 years those additional people must be working and paying taxes. So, we have to start now, this day, this minute; everyone needs to triple their family size within the next three years.

That requires a family of two, husband and wife, to have four children within the next three years, bringing their family size to six. You can readily see how urgent this situation really is. It's really no laughing matter.

Government can help. When they mail out tax forms this year, they can include 30 Viagra pills for the men and a month's supply of fertility drugs for the women. That should get us off to a good start. (If you're neither man OR woman, you don't need any pills, so I guess Congress doesn't have to participate. They can also help by putting more people on the unemployment rolls, as that ensures additional time to screw or to be screwed.

Jump on the bandwagon right now. Don't just covet thy neighbor's wife; nail her. Think of it has doing her husband a favor and saving him the time and trouble of getting her pregnant.

The national interest is at stake. We simply must keep the average tax burden down, and this is the only reasonable solution that comes to mind.

MY PREDICTIONS FOR 2009: A Dire Forecast Indeed

The economic crisis facing the world and this nation in particular will worsen dramatically

Oil prices will return to the $100 a barrel range, adding to the economic crisis

There will be massive demonstrations of frustration and unrest, possibly leading to rioting in the streets in many nations including the United States

One of the big three automakers will go belly up

Congress will give some type of legal preference to illegal Mexicans and will vote NOT to close that border

Regardless of how well he is doing as President, some type of charges will be brought against President Obama, leading to a protracted legal battle and diverting his attention from the nation’s problems; Obama will ultimately either be impeached or step down, but probably not until late 2011

Congress will make some move toward taking control of the free press and media, possibly including the Internet

Congress will make another run at national gun control that will impact honest and law-abiding citizens as opposed to criminals

There will be a dramatic increase in conflicts between religious and anti-religious factions

There will be a horrible act of terrorism, beyond anything we have seen, possibly in the United States but certainly in the free world

Russia will make an undisguised attempt to reassemble the Soviet Union

Pakistan will align itself with Iran and Syria

There will be increased reports of UFO's throughout the world
