Over the weekend, that venerable source of truth and justice, the WASHINGTON POST, ran with a story that Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law, talked with some Russians about setting up a secret connection between the Kremlin and the White House. What shocks me most here, considering the WAPO's reputation for shoddy journalism and the manufacture of totally fake news, is that so many news outlets including FOX NEWS bought into the story and started pointing fingers of shame and shock at the Trump team.
Given all of that, supposing it's true... so what? I'll guarantee you that there are secret channels of communication between the White House and the United Kingdom, Israel, Mexico, Canada, Japan, France, Germany... on and on. That's how the business of state has been done between nations forever. And with our intelligence agencies and the White House itself leaking like sieves, how could we possibly discuss sensitive matters between nations any other way than through secret channels?
These jackasses make me sick. Why don't they all move to Caracas and get a life?
