SPECIAL POST
There are those in positions of high power in Washington who do not yet realize that the train is about to leave the station. There's a whole lot of talk about how it should have been, how it should really be... just a whole lot of flatulence passing around on the boarding ramps. But the conductor is here, the crew is almost all on board, the engines have been started and... there's going to be a whole lot of customers stuck in limbo if they don't climb on board right now.
Americans, most of them anyways, are anxiously looking forward to what is going to happen next. The markets are way up, Christmas shopping went through the roof and consumer confidence is soaring. There are those who are actively praying that the train will run out of diesel before it gets started; a few of them have even headed down the tracks ahead of the train, seeking to set up roadblocks and derail the train before it can get up much steam. They don't seem to care who gets hurt in the process, either.
There are those who just can't seem to decide whether they should join the crowd getting on the train or head on down the tracks with the hooligans. The John McCains, Mitch McConnells, Paul Ryans, Lindsey Grahams of the country and their cohorts are beside themselves, still trying to decide whether or not they are willing to change the way they've always done things in Washington.... whether or not the winds of change will eventually overwhelm them.
There's one thing that's certain at this moment in time: The will of the people created this train, and the will of the people has won the day. Uncle Sam, I can hear the whistle blowing.
That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
