SPECIAL POST
The ARMY TIMES is reporting that U.S. troop strength is at its lowest level since 1940. Under a draw-down plan
unveiled last July, the number of active-duty soldiers would be reduced
to 460,000 soldiers by the end of fiscal year 2017 and 450,000 by the
end of fiscal year 2018, barring action by Congress or the Pentagon. The Army says its draw-down plan is required due to budget cuts under the Obama Administration.
In the interim, Russia, China, North Korea and Iran have been drastically increasing their military strengths. The Russians, for example, now have a larger nuclear stockpile than the United States.
I fear we are being deliberately put at risk.
That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
