SPECIAL POST
Following yesterday's post which revealed a concerted government plan to cut down on Freedom of the Press, news came that the DHS is planning to establish a national license-plate recognition database that would
collect information from commercial and law enforcement tag readers; the project is already going out to bid. A spokeswoman for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency told
the newspaper that the database “could only be accessed in conjunction
with ongoing criminal investigations or to locate wanted individuals.”
If you believe that, you believe that Obama never said you could keep your insurance and doctor; you believe that the NSA's collection of your telephone records will never be used against you unless you commit a crime; you believe in Mary Poppins. “Ultimately, you’re creating a national database of location
information,” says Jennifer Lynch, a staff attorney with the Electronic
Frontier Foundation. “When all that data is compiled
and aggregated, you can track somebody as they’re going through their
life."
Just like they did in Nazi Germany, Stalinist Russia, Italy and other fascist regimes.
Americans, don't you think it's time to wake up and smell the ugly facts?
Illegitimi non carborundum.
That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
