I actually think that the concept
has some merit, but I need to study it further.
So, let’s set aside the decision by Obama to use an Executive Order to
allow certain children of illegal immigrants to stay here and to obtain work
permits; I won’t argue that until I can see the details.
Obama by his own statements has
previously said that he does not have the authority to act on the immigration
issue; it must come from Congress. Yet, here we are with the President of the
United States violating what he admittedly knows to be the law. He
doesn’t have the authority to make these decisions, only Congress does. He has usurped the power of
Congress.
There are lots of speculations
going on about why he did it, but they all get back to the premise that he did
it for political reasons; he wanted to gain the American Latino vote for November. Whether or not you believe that, he is
charged with leaking secret intelligence to the public in order to gain a
political advantage… to make him look like John Wayne or Ronald Reagan to the
common folk. Of course, we know that he
is no John Wayne or Ronald Reagan.
I personally am not going to speculate as to
why he did it. We all know that he is
one arrogant, self-centered Marxist President and the answers probably lie
within an analysis of that psyche. What
we do know is that he has no power, Executive Privilege or otherwise, to make
that decision and to issue that order.
But, he has openly flipped the bird to the law, the Constitution and to
us in making this decision, and he has deprived us of the right to lobby our
Congressional delegations as to our positions on the issue, thereby denying us
the right to rule our own country.
In short, this move smacks of the
use arrogant dictatorial power. We
removed Nixon for this breach of trust and others as well. Obama
must also be impeached.
Enough is enough, and if the
House of Representatives doesn’t have the fortitude to file articles of
impeachment against Obama, they need
to also be removed.
That’s MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully
submitted.
