Official estimates are that over 15% of Americans now live
below the level of poverty as defined by the U.S. Government. That’s well over 42 million people and the
highest level of poverty in over 20 years.
That’s ugly.
How can we justify to ourselves or our posterity allowing
this situation to continue?
