A REAL & PERMANENT BUDGET SOLUTION

The Democrats in Congress and the White House flatly refuse to pass or sign any Bill that includes a balanced budget provision.  They've said it repeatedly.  

Here's the math to my solution: 

• 330 million people in the U.S.
• 50% don't pay any taxes anyway, so that leaves
• 165 million people, of which 70% want a balanced budget provision
• That's 115.5 million people

Good old Harry Reid says that "Paying taxes is voluntary."  If 115.5 million of us quit paying our voluntary taxes, that resolves the budget issue permanently.  That is the position they have put us in and we need to follow up on it.  They can't put 115.5 million of us in jail and close Guantanamo at the same time.  Not even Barney Frankfarter could do that.

SHAME, SHAME ON DEMOCRATS

They knew that this debt-deficit issue had to be dealt with six or seven months ago and flatly refused to begin the process.  They stalled and stalled and then, all of the sudden it became an emergency and they marched out the tax cheat and their chief financial officer to warn of calamity if the matter is not resolved by August 2^nd.  It was the same old crap they employed to bully their ways past TARP, Stimulus and Health Care, three jewels of legislation. 

The Republican-controlled House of Representatives worked at great length to develop Cut, Cap and Balance, a favorite of most Americans.  The House passed it and sent it to the Senate which flatly refused to even put the Bill on the table for discussion.  They turned right around and had Obama start lambasting the Tea Parties and Republicans and demanding a new Bill.  The President even took to the microphone and blamed Americans for not pulling together behind his plan… but he has no plan. 

Yesterday, another Bill passed the House.  Reid and fellow stalwarts were saying hours before the passage that they would not even consider it.  Obama said he wasn’t even going to look at it, and if it ever reached his desk he was going to veto it. 

Two plans they refused to let see the light of day and Obama continues to wag and point his finger and scowl at you, me, the House, the Tea Parties and Fox News as if we are all the dregs of the planet. 

Enough is enough.  There can be no more compromise.  Compromise to what?  What plan have they put out that we can compromise to?  They want us all to “act like adults.”  Well, we ARE acting like adults.  The Democrats are acting like riffraff and deadwood.  Every damned one of them simply must be removed in the next election.  They won’t discuss, they won’t talk, and they hide behind closed doors. 

They are not stand up Americans. I frankly don't think they are Americans at all.

WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF...

What would happen if Congress did not put forth a Bill by August 2nd to resolve the debt-deficit crisis?  Would the credit agencies downgrade out bonds?  Maybe and maybe not; if they saw us working earnestly toward a proper solution, I don't think they would downgrade.  Would the markets go in the toilet?  Maybe and maybe not, for the same reason.  

Would Obama look impotent?  Absolutely.  He IS impotent. 

Is that not, in and of itself, justifiable reason to let this go to August 20th, if necessary?

OBAMA HAS SPOKEN

President Barack Hussein Obama addressed the nation last night in a command performance.  The subject?  The national debt and deficit crisis and Obama’s insistence that you the American public, cave in to his agenda.  And, after all, you should cave in; you are the people who benefited from the government’s lavish spending.  I got my share of the TARP and stimulus spending; didn’t you?  I sure as hell really want to chip in and help Obama work his way back out of this horrendous addition to our national debt.  Absolutely.   

Good old Barry went on and on about how the rich should pay more, (I don’t disagree with that to some extent), and wagged his fingers at John Boehner as being the devil reincarnated.  What he didn’t say was that he has jacked up his spending over the last 2-1/2 years and he doesn’t want anyone messing with it.  

He did mention that he wants to appoint a commission to look into the situation.  He didn't mention that he has ignored the findings and results of the last commission he appointed to look into it, or that he flatly dismissed what they had to say.  

Looking directly in the eye at a nation full of unemployed and under-employed people, Obama lamented that if we do not raise the debt ceiling, we won’t be able to make all of our payments.  Gosh, that really struck at the hearts and minds of all of us, those of us who are losing homes, cars, jobs, and everything we own.  We surely have a great deal of sympathy for good old Barry. I mean, he complained that we simply cannot allow Americans to become collateral damage over the politics involved; obviously he does not understand that we already ARE victims of their “politics.”

How in the hell he had the gall to wag his finger at Republicans and to claim they refuse to compromise is beyond me.  They are the only party to put a plan on the table and he and his fellow Democrats absolutely refused to even consider it; they would not let it see the light of day in the Senate.  He also tried to drive a wedge between John Boehner and the Tea Parties, the people who brought this deficit-bent problem to the forefront in the last election.  Divide and conquer? 

John had his chance to retort and he did a good job of it.  But, while he was speaking, the Democrats were rolling out the barbeque spit.  And when he finished, he asked God to bless you and your family and the United States of America… words not heard from our President. 

The end analysis is simple: bend over and fork over more money or Obama will not send you a Christmas card this year, and you may not get a Muslim greeting card, either.  Hark!  Obama has spoken.

THE REAL UGLY AMERICANS

Back in 1958, Eugene Burdick and William Lederer published their book, "THE UGLY AMERICAN."  It's worth a read, by the way, because its message still applies today. 

Now, the country has acquired its share of "ugly Americans" in different respects.  The ugliness is epitomized by those on the left, by the Democrats as a whole, by many businesses and by some of us common folks.  It is a lack of civility, a nastiness that is pervasive.  It is a refusal to discuss things in a reasonable manner.  It is spoken hatred and disrespect.  It is yelling people down, screaming until their voices can no longer be heard.  

Any alien from outer space could only conclude, upon even cursory observation, that we are still far from being civilized.  If scalps weren't so short, we'd still be dragging each other around by the hair.  The plain fact of the matter is that the real reason the uglies are wanting gun control is that they are afraid we'll use our guns against them.    

Not all hope is lost, because those "ugly Americans" are in the minority.  We, the majority, can stand together and silence these dolts.  Don't you think it's time we did?  I don't know about you, but I am sick and tired of listening to their tantrums, their whining, their obstructionism and their bully tactics.  I think the time is far past when we should have set them in their places.   

Maybe some over-sized baby-pacifiers will do the trick.

I have said some pretty nasty things about you in this and other blogs in the past.  After listening to your remarks tonight, I realize and recognize that I have not given the situation its true due. 

I apologize. 


I have given what you said this night a great deal of consideration and thought.  You spent the time in pointing blame at everyone and therein you made it clear to me that you are without any blame in this matter yourself.  Your refusal to budge, to provide your own plan, is totally justifiable.  

This blog has attained national  recognition and I cherish its readership.  I have, at times, been pretty blunt in my assessment of your leadership and I know that this has been upsetting to some readers.  But, I do believe that one should always deal from a position of openness and honesty and that my readers understand and appreciate my ire with some of the things going on in this country. 

And so it is, sir, that I most respectfully and regretfully close this post by saying forth what is truly in my heart to say:  

Go fuck yourself.

THE THREAT IN MEXICO

The news oozing out of our Southern border these days is scary.  Americans are being advised to stay out of any and all towns along the border as violence has virtually taken over.  And cartel members are now reportedly threatening to invade towns on our side of the border.  Over 40,000 people have been butchered in these drug wars that have resulted in beheadings, kidnappings and mass graves.  Corruption is rampant in all levels of society and government; in fact, the very government of Mexico is in imminent danger of collapse. 

You must… must understand that this is not an issue that we can turn our backs on.  If the drug cartels win and the Mexican government does fall, 20 million more Mexicans are going to be heading north and over the border.  And, just who do you think is going to follow them?

Already, several states have uncovered drug labs and sophisticated marijuana growing operations under direct control of the cartels.  Our illustrious government, in its haste to get a huge fence up in order to placate an angry public, left many American citizens on American property walled out and stuck on the other side of the wall.  They said they’d be back later to put a door in the fence. 

Running in tandem with this bad news is the report that arrests of illegal aliens crossing the border have plummeted and that Janet Napolitano has issued firm orders to quit arresting so many illegals.  Americans who live anywhere near the border are all carrying guns; assumptions of security and the rule of law no longer prevail. 

But, the Mexicans are not the only problem.  There is strong evidence to suggest that members of Hezbollah and Al Qaeda have used our porous southern border to cross “at will.”  Last year, over 3,100 illegal crossers were found to be from Cuba, Pakistan, Nigeria, Iran, Syria, Yemen and other unfriendly countries. 

We cannot afford to pay lip service to this problem any longer.  We need an immediate and far-reaching Congressional investigation into the facts and a full report to the American people.  We also urgently need something done about it.

AMERICA: The Zombie Mentality

You can’t fight city hall.  Whatever they want, they get.  They’re all a bunch of thieves, but what can you do about it?  They’re bound and determined to build a goddam Mosque at Ground Zero and there’s not a frickin’ thing we can do about it.  They passed ObamaCare into a law, so now we’re screwed.  They’re determined going to give amnesty to all of these illegals, so get over it. 

You know the sayings; you’ve heard them all 1,000 times.  Pretty soon, you start to believe them; you sit there on the couch with the channel clicker in hand, watching all of the crap… and it IS crap… going on in our country today and you shrug your shoulders and say to yourself, “So, what can I do about it?  Nothing.” 

And that, my fine feathered friend, is exactly what they want you to think because, the minute you decide that you are powerless, you are abdicating your power to them.  And that is how virtually every democracy in the history of man has come to an end, when the people lose the will to hold on to the power for themselves. 

Are we, in fact, there at that point right now? 

The fact is that government is sticking its nose more and more into our daily lives and eroding our freedoms and liberties at the same time.  And, the fact is that we have yet to stand up and resist.  Finally, it must be understood that resistance is NOT futile.  The right of the people to resist tyranny is well-settled in the history of the world and we, as Americans, have an inherent obligation to our ancestors to resist what is happening in our country today. 

We have every right to demand that our money be spent responsibly and within budgetary constraints.  We have every right to keep our government out of our bedrooms and our churches.  We have every entitlement to freedom of religion and the right to bear arms.  We do NOT, have the right, however, to act like zombies and ignore our responsibilities to our ancestors, ourselves and our children. 

I submit to you that the inertia is on our side.  We have made ourselves heard last November and we are about to make ourselves heard again in November of 2012.  Having the inertia on our side, now is the ideal time to stand up and take our country back, to wrestle control of our government away from the hands of those who don’t give a damn about our history, our patriotism, what is right or what is wrong. 

We can and we must do this.  We must stand together, shoulder-to-shoulder, arm-to-arm and hand-in-hand and we must work together to settle these things, once and for all.  Now is the time to accomplish that.

NEW DEBT & DEFICIT REDUCTION PLAN

The talk around Washington right now is that we need to legalize marijuana and tax it, thereby raising $30 billion in additional revenues over the next ten years.  The question is: Why stop there?  

Think of it.  We could have a national lottery and make it illegal for states to have their own.  This would funnel untold billions of dollars into our national treasury every year!  If we legalize cocaine, crack and heroin, we'll add hundreds of billions of dollars more into the national coffers while at the same time literally shutting down the illegal drug trafficking across our southern border.  These ideas open a whole new horizon of possibilities: taxed and legalized prostitution, national legal drinking at age 14, nationally owned and operated racetracks, $500 per head from illegal aliens entering the country ... Isn't this exciting?  

I say we all put our heads together and come up with new ideas on how to raise Federal revenues so that government can continue to grow bigger and spending will not have to be curtailed.  What do you think?
