I DO NOT BELIEVE OUR GOVERNMENT

SPECIAL POST

Invariably, it seems these days, whenever our government tells us something it's either a huge spin or an outright lie.  For the past six years, I've learned not to believe anything anybody says in Washington, especially when it comes from the White House.  It was bad enough before, but it's become damned intolerable.

Now we have I.S.I.S.  For several years, ever since we got into Iraq, the Democrats have been gurgling with glee that we found no chemical weapons, no weapons of mass destruction.  Every chance Obama has had, he has rubbed that into the Republican faces.  Now it comes that I.S.I.S. has managed to get its hands on a chemical weapons storage facility.  This news actually came out last week and the current White House regime was quick to say that the weapons there certainly must have deteriorated and must be useless.  They were careful to leave themselves some wiggle room, as they always are.

Yesterday, the news came that the terrorists had managed to commandeer a stash of uranium; that was quickly followed by the Administration's disclaimer that they "think" it's low-grade uranium, maybe something like yellow cake which actually could cause a lot of damage if it were to be spread around a neighborhood.  Note again that they left themselves some wiggle room.

People look at me as if I am crazy when I point out that although Iran and Iraq are bitter enemies, they always manage to stand at each others' side in the face of Western adversity.  When we were hot on Iranian nuclear inspections, it is quite possible Iran shipped some more highly enriched uranium to Iraq to hide and that the "find" is more ominous than it seems.  The same holds true for the vanished chemical weapons that were alleged to have been there; they could have been moved to Iran.

So, these latest "revelations" scare the hell out of me.  Should the verbiage emanating from the White House and State Department prove to be just a "spin," the odds are that the chemical weapons and the uranium are far more noxious than they would have us believe.

Stay tuned; I'm sure we haven't heard the last of this ugly situation.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
