WHERE'S THE BEEF?

Four years ago, the country listened as a glib, smooth-talking community organizer from Chicago made promise after promise and didn't tell us how he was going to accomplish them.  And we all know what kind of a President he has turned out to be. Of course, it's likely that we are going to see another week of glib promises and no substance, of finger pointing and blame laying, of outright attacks and denigration.  

That's Barack Obama for you.  

Yet, I have to agree that Mitt & Company just finished a week of barnstorming in Tampa and I didn't hear any substance there, either.  I heard a whole lot of rhetoric but no plans.  In that respect, the Republican National Convention was a letdown.  

The country is sick and tired of empty promises and eloquent rhetoric.  We want, expect and demand substance.  We want something we can sink our teeth into.  If you're really going to create 12 million jobs, Mr. Romney, give us your game plan.  Just how are you going to grow the economy and balance the budget?  Obama promised us the moon and he delivered nothing except crapola.  

Where's the beef?
