ACORN MUST GO

SPECIAL POST

ACORN President Bertha Lewis, in defending her organization, has said that the money allegedly embezzled by organizer Wade Rathke's brother Dale, was NOT $1 million as has been reported, but "slightly less than that." In saying so, Lewis not only refuted recent allegations that the sum was closer to $5 million and appeared to be making the case that things are really okay at ACORN.

Another story making the rounds is that the duo who video-taped and broke the story about criminal intent among those working for ACORN offices a few weeks ago, was actually refused by several ACORN offices, thereby intimating that ACORN is really a clean machine at heart. This claim has been examined and refuted by FOX News.

The misbehavior by the ACORN organizations is criminal. It involves everything from phony voting registrations, to embezzlement, to criminal behavior in offices, to money laundering, to voter intimidation, to White House connections... and who knows what else?

ACORN and all of its subsidiary, lateral, and hidden entities must be thoroughly investigated. Those responsible for criminal acts must be charged and tried and, where federal funds have been involved, federal prosecutions must occur. This giant labyrinth of fraud, corruption and crime must be totally dismantled, and this process must start at once.

And, if it turns out that the trail of stench leads all of the way into top levels at the White House, as seems to be the case, then those involved must be exposed, regardless of who they turn out to be.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
