Big changes are looming in the Supreme Court... changes which depend on the outcome of the 2016 elections.

Four Judges, two liberal and two conservative, are at retirement age: Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, Anthony Kennedy and Antonin Scalia.  Rumor has it that Obama is pressuring Ginsburg and Breyer to retire early next year, especially if it looks like a Republican might win the presidency.  He doesn't want a conservative Republican to have the opportunity to replace any liberal seats.  

All four are 76 or older and will be 78 or older when the new president takes office.  If he/she holds office for eight years, all of these Judges will be well into their 80's; Ginsberg will be 90.  So, the likelihood that all four will retire by then is extremely high.  

It is vitally important to the future of America that we choose our next president after careful consideration of qualities and track records.  We need to ensure that the makeup of the Court does not change to a totally liberal stance.

OBAMA TICKS OFF KENYANS

I know you didn't hear a peep about this in the press, but our illustrious, holier-than-thou, so-called president displayed his contempt of others and of his homeland on his recent visit to Kenya.  

Although he was strongly advised not to do so, Obama broached the subject of gay rights.  Kenya is a strong Christian and Muslim nation, and Obama chastised the citizens for not recognizing gay rights. 700 Christan pastors joined arms and sent a scathing letter to Obama telling him to take his ‘gay rights’ somewhere else.  And, also not shown on U.S. television coverage of the visit were tens of thousands of Kenyans protesting his landing at the local airport.  

Piling on with another well-deserved insult, Bishop Mark Kariuki said, “The family is the strength of a nation.  If the family is destroyed, then the nation is destroyed. So we don’t want to open doors for our nation to be destroyed!”  Evidently, they don't want any part of Obama's new America. 

 

I guess there is at least one nation in the world that is willing to stand up to the "effluent" dictator.

WHERE HAVE ALL OF THE GOOD GUYS GONE?

I recently attend a party honoring an occupant of the local cemetery; he's been planted there for a couple of years now, but is still revered by the townspeople as being "one of a kind."  More than anything else, sense of humor and all, he was espoused as being a "giver" to the community and anyone in particular who needed some type of assistance. Some of those in attendance gave their testimonials and broke into tears in the process.  One thing is certain; this guy is considered to be as close to being a hero as you can get.  

In his time... his heyday... there were a lot of those guys around, but where are they today?  One thing is certain: they are far and few between.  

But, they're a most valuable commodity... people to be treasured.  If you're fortunate enough to have one in your neighborhood, do yourself a favor and give him or her a well-deserved pat on the back and some words of thanks.  Show your appreciation; it's the least you can do.

AND YOU THOUGHT NIXON STONEWALLED?

The Department of Justice's Office of Legal Council has issued a 68-Page memorandum of instruction warning government agency Inspectors General that they no longer have access to agency documents and information, such as wire taps, grand jury testimonies, and credit information. IG's are charged with auditing and conducting internal reviews of federal agencies and most recently two IG's announced they had information about Hillary Clinton's use of a private server to send classified emails.  It was also an IG at the IRS who determined that emails the agency claimed were destroyed were actually available on a backup system.  

The move has infuriated not only Republicans and Democrats in Congress, but the Inspector General of the DOJ as well: “I strongly disagree with the OLC opinion,” DOJ Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz said in a statement, “Congress meant what it said when it authorized Inspectors General to independently access ‘all’ documents necessary to conduct effective oversight. … Without such access, our office’s ability to conduct its work will be significantly impaired.” 

That, of course, is the whole idea.  The Obama Administration is running out of options with respect to their ongoing obfuscation and obstruction of justice regarding the Fast & Furious, Benghazi, IRS, and other scandals.  They simply have no choice but to shut off access of information to the IG's.   This move is clear indication of gross government misconduct that the administration must keep from Congress and the American public at all costs.  

The problem is that such information contains prima facie evidence that would give rise to swift impeachment proceedings.  The good news for Obama, of course, is that Congress can be as upset as they want about such things, but they will never do anything about it.

THE COUNTERFEIT CANDIDATES

Frankly, I was flabbergasted when Mike Huckabee lamented over the weekend that his political agenda was essentially the same as Donald Trump's and that he's been saying the same things for years.  He's complaining that Trump is getting all of the attention, saying that if he (Huckabee) had as much press as Trump is getting, then he'd be leading the pack instead of Trump.  

Well, I've always liked Huckabee as a candidate; I think he does have some strong qualities.  I'm very disappointed to hear the whining.  

To MIke Huckabee and the rest of the legion of candidates in the GOP race: I have to wonder how you are going to handle the very tough task of turning this country around after eight years of Obama if you are already stymied.  If you expect the entrenched left-wing liberals to go running into the hills and back under the rocks from whence they came if you win the presidency, you've got another thing coming; they're going to kick, fight, scream and resist you every inch of every step of the way.  

In short, if you can't stand the heat now, you should definitely get out of the kitchen.  This is no time in our political history for weak-knees or the faint-hearted.  Pull yourselves up by the bootstraps and get the damned show on the road, or pack up and get out of the way.

IMPEACH THE SHAMELESS S.O.B.

A never-before-released copy of a Texas Department of Public Safety report on human smuggling contains the numbers of crimes committed by aliens in Texas. According to the analysis, foreign aliens committed 611,234 unique crimes in Texas from 2008 to 2014, including thousands of homicides and sexual assaults.  The report describes an alien crime wave of staggering proportions exacerbated by federal officials unwilling to enforce immigration laws.

This news comes as our shameless, despicable president has just made it clear he will veto any Congressional legislation which attempts to cut off funding for "sanctuary" cities.  

 

 And we're not doing anything about it?

IRANIAN DEAL: MORE SECRETS

As I have said here before regarding the wonderful Iranian Nuclear "deal," I suspected that Obama and Kerry gave Iran extra incentives to reach the "deal."  It now oozes out that at least two secret side deals were made... deals not even in writing.  The deals are so secret that even Kerry says he doesn't know the details.  

But, Kerry says "We are very confident" that this "deal" is a good deal.  

Well, anybody in this country who has any confidence in Obama or Kerry is out of his or her gourd.  So, I don't care of Obama and Kerry are confident; I'm way, way far from it.  In fact, this "deal" sells us and our national security down the tubes.  

We all need to contact our Congressional representatives right now, this minute, to express our anger, dismay and concerns.  It's a matter of life and death.

GOVERNMENT ILLEGALLY SEIZING ASSETS

So, you're just starting a new business and therefore have no established business credit.  A business equipment auction company is holding a big auction out of town and you decide to go see what you can purchase; the auctioneer wants cash or cashier's check.  Not knowing what you might be able to buy, you take along $25,000 in cash.  You're one of the lucky ones who gets his bags inspected at the airport and they discover the $25,000 in cash and call in the Feds, who promptly seize the cash and accuse you of drug trafficking or money laundering or some such nefarious activity.

You can kiss your $25,000 goodbye; the feds are going to keep it and, should you decide to sue, even when you win you'll be the one stuck with the attorney fees, which will surely be more than $25,000 and it'll take you several years to win.  

This is but one of dozens of different scenarios where the feds are seizing cash and other assets of Americans without warrants... and they get to keep up to 80% of the assets, even if you're proven innocent.  Over $6.8 billion has been essentially stolen from Americans by the Federal government under "Civil Forfeiture" laws which deem you guilty until proven innocent.  

Our country is turning into a total police state, operated by Marxists and organized crime.

WHO ARE YOU?

With the recent revelation that Obama has data miners putting together a demographic data base of Americans for his use after he leaves office, this is a good time to reexamine just what kind of a mess our computers are getting us into, aside from hacking and such.  

I've published this information before, but it bears repeating.  Let's start with your Social Security Number, the one that we were told would never be used for the purposes of identification.   Virtually every bank, credit card company, employer, utility, cable provider, car lot, health provider, insurance company and the kid who mows your lawn wants to know your SSN.  They all assign you an account number, but when you call them to discuss your account, the first thing they ask you for is your SSN.  

So, it stands to reason that any data collection agency or firm can extract information from all of those firms and agencies listed above simply by searching data files using your SSN.  Then, one can easily determine how much you are worth, how much you owe and how timely you pay your bills, how much electricity and water you use, who you work for, what programs you watch, what kind of car you own, who your doctor is and what ails you, what kind of insurance you have and in what amounts your life policies are, and how long you let your grass grow before it gets mowed.    

Now, they're adding the ability to get your educational records, your race, your ethnicity, your sex, your religion... even if you're having an extra-marital affair and with whom.  And, they assign different codes to each attribute, so that along with your social security number, there is another set of numbers assigned to you which can be reversed so that anyone with a computer can find out anything about you.  

In the meanwhile, the nation has become obsessed with feeding computers.  Did you know that, by law, doctors now spend an hour or two a day entering information about you into their computer files?  No wonder they don't have time to see patients anymore, but on those rare occasions when they do, you have to grab them by the throat in order to distract them from their laptops.    

Privacy?  Forget it.

IRAN: DID OBAMA SHOVE IT UP OUR BUTTS AGAIN?

The ink was barely dry on the worst international agreement ever to be signed in American history before Obama had U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power offer it up to the United Nations for approval, which quickly came yesterday amid cries of "foul" by Congress.  Now, although Congress legally has the final say in whether or not the agreement stands, they will be hard-pressed to deny the U.N. approval, and that's just the way Obama engineered it.  

Established protocol is that any agreement involving the United States must first have the necessary approvals of the government before it can be presented to the U.N.  Further, the United States is not bound to such an agreement unless it is approved by Congress.  Technically and Constitutionally, the "deal" is a treaty, but Obama deftly talked Congress into agreeing several months ago that it was not a treaty, just an agreement.  

So here we are... Congress is basically cut out and side-stepped again and Obama or Power can ratify the agreement with the U.N. and Iran and there's little we can do about it.  Iran gets its way, they get their nukes and there's nothing you or I can do to stop it, unless Netanyahu decides to make a run at it.  

If you haven't done so already, you should read it.  After all, as Obama will say, "It's now the law of the land," and up yours again, you stupid Americans.  I wonder if Jonathan Gruber was in on THIS "deal," too?

THE REAL AND SKY HIGH COST OF THE IRANIAN "DEAL"

You may have read recently about the U.S. - China nuclear deal that will result in China getting its hands on some of our very high tech equipment, including pumps which are extremely quiet and which may enable the Chinese to run their submarines undetected.  Certainly you are aware of the "island building" going on at coral reefs in the South China Sea; there's been barely a whimper from the Obama administration, while the rest of the world sees this as an overt threat to U.S. and free-world security in that area.  

Meanwhile, back at the Kremlin, Putin continues to encroach into the Ukraine and Obama says virtually nothing.  Putin recently announced that it will sell highly advanced missiles to Iran, to which the American press seems oblivious and Obama is keeping his incessant mouth shut.  In fact, our recent decision to install a NATO missile shield in Europe met with abundant anger on the part of the Russians and has been scaled back.  

Why?  

Could it be that Obama, desperate to have his Iranian nuclear "deal," and also needing the approval of Russia and China to get the deal done, has caved in and allowed those two formidable opponents to do as they please by turning an American blind eye to their escapades?  

Judging by the timing of things, that would seem to be the case.  Once again, Obama wins and we lose.

ABOUT THAT MUSLIM NEXT DOOR...

Nothing in this post is intended to paint American Muslims with the broad brush of "terrorists."  But, one has to ask himself: "Just how American is the next door neighbor or the guy who owns the convenience store down the street?"  

Indeed, the friends and neighbors of Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez in Chattanooga describe him as being a nice guy, a typical college student and certainly not on any terrorist watch list.  Nevertheless, he went on a rampage and killed four Marines and there is ever reason to believe now that he was connected with terrorist networks, possibly ISIS.  And, the FBI has not been reluctant to say in recent days that, not only are there terrorist cells throughout the country, but "lone wolves" are being radicalized and flying under the radar.  

So, how does this affect your relationship with that Muslim next door?  

This is how I see it: The vast majority of terrorist acts involving passenger planes has involved Muslims.  Therefore, it is stupid to exclude them from surveillance or to arbitrarily dismiss them as being suspect when they fly and to hone in on the little old grandmother with her knitting.  What I am saying is, right now the vast majority of terrorist activity in this country involves Muslims; therefore, it would be stupid to arbitrarily say that your neighbor or convenience store operator is above and beyond suspicion.  

Even if they are genuinely nice and straight people, they can be radicalized at any time.  

I think the answer is to be more observing.  Is the guy suddenly growing a beard?  Is he suddenly taking trips abroad to the Middle East.  Is he suddenly holding middle-of-the-night clandestine meetings in his basement?  Has a recently acquired new or more fire arms and ammo, along with spending more time at the gun range?   Is he becoming more "distant" or aloof?  

Just be on the alert for changes in behavior which could signify radicalization and don't hesitate to express your concerns to local law enforcement; they could use the help.

TERROR IN CHATTANOOGA

We've had yet another Muslim attack in America... this one against military personnel in Chattanooga which resulted in four military personnel being killed and a cop being injured.  

We have a president who wants to deliver $100 billion in cash and the ability to finalize development of  nuclear weapons to the chief sponsor of terrorism in the world, Iran.  And we have a president who said, way back when he was getting ready to run for office, that push come to shove... he'd stand with the Muslims, ("Audacity of Hope," page 261, paperback edition).    

I think it's way past the time when we should be investigating and demanding answers.

THE GOD DAMNED SHAM

I was asked yesterday on BURNEY MOUNTAIN HERMIT what I thought about the Iranian nuclear "deal."  I declined comment at the time based on the fact that no one could have had enough time to examine the 150+ pages in the "deal." There's no point in my laboring through the provisions, one-by-one; the pundits are adequately on the case.  

As you stand away from the putrid smell of rotten fish and look at it from the big picture, you have no choice but to come to the conclusion that this is the worst fraud perpetrated upon mankind since the serpent talked Adam into munching on an apple.  It is horrible not only for us, but also for every man, woman and child throughout the world who will feel its ugly ramifications.  

Frankly, it is beyond treasonous.   Barack Hussein Obama should spend the rest of his life in jail, as well as anyone who votes in favor of it in Congress.  and I don't care how many "community-organizing" speeches the Black Knight of the Apocalypse makes, his "deal" is still poisonous to the future and stability of democracy everywhere.

WHERE'S THE BEEF?

There is an abundant plethora of presidential candidates this season; it's almost like watching dandelions thrive in your lawn.  Every single one of them is like a huckster in a carney... "Come on in and sit your fanny down!  Have I got something for you!"  

So far, it's like listening to the wind rustle through the trees; there's a whole lot of noise and not much substance.   In observing the clamor over the Confederate flag, the renewed "interest" in the southern border and the magnificent "deal" with Iran, I hear a whole lot of carping and very little in the way of real solutions.  It's one thing to criticize and destroy, but it's quite another to come forward with alternative solutions.  

And, as you well know, if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.  So, that leads to the question of the political season: "Where's the beef?"  

Where's the substance?  

Out of all of these voices, you'd think someone would be talking turkey.  Forget the eloquent speeches and the fancy cliches.  And I don't want to hear politically expedient phraseology, either; I've had enough of the spins and lies.  I want to hear someone state the problems, offer proposed solutions and have the guts and gumption to stick to the script after he/she gets elected.  

You know, there's over 150 pages of gobbledegook in that Iranian "deal."  It was finally released yesterday morning and within the hour... within the hour... the politicos of the day were all voicing their opinions.  I beg your pardon?  How do they even know what they are talking about?  It's like turning on the old coal furnace for the first run of the season and getting a house full of soot!  

We need to hold all of their feet to the fire this time around, and we need to be quite a bit more discerning than we have been in the past.  Otherwise, we're likely to end up with another turd in the punch bowl.

WHY ARE LESBIANS FAT?

Here the country is, cutting 40,000 troops due to lack of funding and running a $19 trillion dollar deficit and our illustrious federal government is spending $3.5 million to find out why lesbians are fat, while gay men are not.  

You know, I can think of 1,014 lines to insert here... most of them non-printable.  

In the meanwhile, they want to send some unfortunate guy in Liberal, Kansas, to jail because he's delinquent on his $1,200 tax bill.  

Sleep well tonight, my friends.  Our country is in great hands.

LESSON OF THE LEMONADE STAND

Eight-year-old Akirah Nyberg and her father of Saint Paul Park, Minnesota, built a lemonade stand.  When the family was off visiting her grandmother, someone stole the 100-poiund lemonade stand from their front yard.  Therein begins the point of today's post.  

Whenever some enterprising person in this country has a goal to achieve and sets out to reach that goal, some liberal, left-wing scumbag comes along and tries to steal the idea, steal the whole project and/or steal the money.  They just can't stomach seeing someone else's success and would much rather destroy another person's dream than to strive to attain their own.  They want to tax the successful businessman into oblivion, deny the baker's right to make an honest living, or make the licensing requirements so restrictive that no business can even get off the ground.  

They are so full of envy and greed themselves that they can't see the forest through the trees.  

Thank God for the good people in this country.  The owner of the St. Paul Saloon, Nicolas Heidenreich and some of his patrons got together and built Akirah a new lemonade stand.  

Now, I assume, the parents of the scum who stole the first stand will be out demanding that the girl get a tax identification number, a business license, a health certificate and that she and her stand meet zoning restrictions.  You would think that the beneficial lessons here would be the value of teaching the young girl about business and money, and that there are good people out there who want to help each other succeed.  

Unfortunately, the real lesson here is that the country is full of self-serving scum who don't have any concept of the word "good."  And they, my friends, unfortunately end up being the politicians in charge of the rest of us.

ILLEGAL TRIBAL MARIJUANA GROWS: TIP OF THE ICEBERG?

The Feds have raided two huge commercial-scale marijuana operations on separate Native American reservations in Alturas, California, (far north-eastern corner of the state).  Refer to this link.

While medicinal pot is legal in California, the potential output of the operations would have far exceeded the retail market within the state.  The question, of course, is where the tribes were going to sell the excess.  The matter is further complicated by the fact that a foreign tobacco company, based in Canada, was the primary mover behind the project.  

Many tribes have been relegated under treaty to remote reservations which make it extremely difficult for them to have any significant economic development.  The advent of casino gaming has helped to alleviate that problem to a certain extent, and here is where the point of this post is going to lead.  In the initial start-up days of tribal gaming, many sinister criminal elements tried to horn in on the action and take control; they saw tribal lands as being a safe haven for their schemes.  

The federal government eventually stepped in and established laws and regulations by which tribes must operate in order to keep out the crooks and shysters.  

The next move on tribal lands was the establishment of "payday loan" operations, whereby borrowers are charged exorbitant rates of interest in order to borrow money until their next paycheck.  These internet-based operations spread across the United States  and sucked borrowers dry, (a large percentage of them were tribal members).  Such operations are now under investigations for racketeering and corruption charges.  Tribes are getting a big black eye over the issue. 

Now comes the growing of pot.  Tribal lands offer some legal barriers for the investor, and having plantations on tribal lands is attractive for many reasons.  The growing, possession or sale of pot on federal lands is against federal law, which theoretically means it is against the law for a tribe to grow on tribal lands.  But, the legal argument is that the tribal lands are not actually federal lands; that they are simply held in trust for the tribes and that the tribes are the real owners, making them exempt from such laws.  On that basis, the feds have said they will allow such plantations providing certain rules are followed.  

But, these operations are just in the embryo stages and in the case of the Pit River Tribe's XL Ranch and the Alturas Rancheria, it appears those guidelines and regulations are rudimentary are not being followed.  Once again, it appears on the face of it that a foreign investor, possibly connected to a drug cartel, is planning to have a marijuana grow on tribal lands and to sell the end product nationally, and not necessarily confined to legal sales.  

It seems that the name of the game, if you are going to do something shady, is to home-base your operation on tribal lands.  What is happening in northeastern California could be only the beginning of many more, and different, problems to come.

FIRST CUBA; NEXT NORTH VIETNAM?

President Obama has announced that the United States and Cuba will both be opening Embassies as they further the establishment of diplomatic relations.  Now, he has met this week at the White House in an unannounced meeting with North Vietnam's Communist Party Boss, Nguyen Phu Trong.  As the news oozed out, members of both American political parties got their backs up.  

North Vietnam has a horrid record on human rights and, of course, has been one of our staunchest enemies for decades.  

You can expect that sometime before Obama leaves office, he will host a State Dinner at the White House with the leaders of North Vietnam, North Korea, Syria, Iran, Libya, the Taliban, the Muslim Brotherhood, Cuba, I.S.I.S. and Al Sharpton. 

He's such a swell guy.  I'd even bet he likes Jane Fonda...

DID OBAMA ACTUALLY SAY SOMETHING INTELLIGENT?

Obama said Monday that he admits I.S.I.S. has become a worldwide threat.  That's so nice and, in and of itself, enough of an admission from Mr. Goody Two-Shoes to turn heads around the globe.  

But he didn't stop there.  He said playing "whack a mole" is not going to solve the problem.  In a completely eloquent statement, he went on to say that brute force against I.S.I.S. isn't going to end the issue in the Middle East; some other terrorist group will just simply appear to fill the void.  He suggested that we need to solve the underlying issues that cause this abhorrent behavior. 

My gut reaction is to say, "Hey, Barry, that sounds like a great idea with which I should agree, but don't we first have to deal with the beheading of I.S.I.S. before we can deal with solving the underlying issues?"  

Well, my friend, that's not the real question here.  The real question is this:  If this strategy is so damned brilliant, why didn't he employ it before he removed all of our troops from Iraq in the first place?  

Yeah, I know how he'll answer that question... I'm a racist.

OREGON COURT: YOU HAVE NO FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS

You may remember the case of Aaron and Melissa Klein, the owners of a now-closed bakery in Oregon who refused to bake a wedding cake for a lesbian couple on the basis of their religious faith.  The court there found them guilty of discrimination and fined them $135,000.  But, it doesn't end there.  

The Judge in the case ordered the Kleins not to talk publicly about not wanting to bake cakes for same-sex weddings based on their Christian beliefs. “This effectively strips us of all our First Amendment rights,” the Kleins, owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa wrote on their Facebook page. “According to the state of Oregon we neither have freedom of religion or freedom of speech.”

Welcome to American fascism.  I wonder how the U.S. Supreme Court will rule on this issue. 

Are we heading toward another American Revolution, or what?

TRUMP'S CORRECT; GET OVER IT

Let me be clear; I am not endorsing Donald Trump with this post.  But, I am 100% supporting him in what he has said about the situation with the southern border.  

We all know that the Obama regime has totally screwed up the illegal alien problem.  Obama has allowed millions... millions of illegals to cross the border and in that group there have been criminals and people who went on to become criminals once they got here.  As a matter of fact, just crossing the border illegally made them into criminals.  

From 2010 to 2014, 121 deaths occurred because we not only allowed those illegals to stay here, but we didn't deport the criminals among them after they were found guilty; we released them back into society.  We all know that this has got to be resolved, first by sealing the Mexican border and then by dealing with the illegals who are already here as well as holding the criminals among them accountable for their actions.     

It's a sad day for America if Trump is the only one willing to tell it like it really is.  No wonder we're in a pile of dung.

Linda Barnette has issued marriage licenses in Grenada County, Mississippi for 24 years. On Tuesday, she resigned, thereby setting herself up for fines and possible jail time.  She considers herself to be a devout Christian and flatly refuses to issue marriage licenses to gay couples.  “I am a follower of Christ and I believe strongly that the Bible is my final authority.  The Bible teaches that a marriage is to be between a man and a woman. Therefore, because of the recent ruling of the U.S. Supreme Court, I can no longer fulfill my duties as Circuit Clerk and issue marriage licenses to same sex couples.”  

“Christians are being put to the test,” she said. ‘We’re going to see the true Christians who stand. It’s going to be time to stop talking the talk. It’s going to come down to that.” 

You can expect that either the county or local gay activists will bring civil and, possibly, criminal charges against her based on discrimination, bigotry and violation of the Supreme Court ruling. 

I congratulate her for sticking by her religious beliefs.  

I have had an epiphany of my own.  Up to this point, I have been of the "live and let live" philosophy: If gays want a civil ceremony, let them have it.  But, I have now changed my mind.  I stand with Linda Barnette. 

I have been a strong, hard and fast advocate of the Constitution, saying that if you want to change it, amend it.  But, when you assess the situation, where do we mere mortals get the right to change the Word of God?  There's nothing in the Bible which provides for amendment.  Those who seek to alter the Word based on "changing times" fail to understand that most of today's problems in society stem from the lack of moral and ethical conduct.  

So, either you're going to stand up for your beliefs, or you're not.  This is where the rubber meets the road, where true men and women get separated from girls and boys.

In Danbury, U.K., a gay couple is suing to force their church into performing their gay wedding.  Both attend St. John the Baptist Church, a branch of the Church of England, and have been in a civil partnership since 2006.  Barrie Drewitt-Barlow said that he and his partner Tony, “feel we have the right as parishioners in our village to utilize the church we attend to get married.

You can bet your sweet petunias that, although this is occurring in England, every gay couple in the United States is following this story and salivating over the prospect of being among the first to file a similar lawsuit in the United States.  They are not satisfied with the Supreme Court decision requiring all states to recognize and allow gay civil marriages.  This is not about having the right to marry; it's about tearing down religious institutions and fundamental rights of the American people.  

That's why there is a push on to destroy the Bill of Rights.  If you will notice, immediately after the Supreme Court decision, Philadelphia's PENNLIVE, a major publication, decided to strictly limit op-eds that were against gay marriage; it wants to undermine the First Amendment.  Obama and the left-wing liberals want to abolish the Second Amendment.  With the recent ruling, both the Ninth and Tenth Amendments have already been summarily crushed.  

These attacks on the foundations of our American Democracy have been underway for several decades.  Americans have turned their attentions away from protecting our government and our way of life to looking for quick rewards, technological toys and easy money.  This constant and urgent quest for instant gratification has dulled the country's awareness of what is really going on in Washington. 

It is only a matter of when, not if, our country falls totally into the hands of fascist socialists and our government of the people, by the people and for the people is dissolved from the face of the earth.
