SPECIAL POST
We look on the tube and we see war everywhere... Israel, Ukraine, Iraq, Syria, Africa... But, we don't grasp what is happening on our own southern border with Mexico. I'm not addressing the mass of illegals crossing the border; I'm talking about open warfare.
Members of Mexican drug cartel routinely are firing automatic rifles across the border at our Border Patrol Agents. FOX NEWS reports that just last week a game warden was hit in the
head with a rock while trying to seize a raft; police officers were wounded
in an hours-long standoff with a gang member wanted for murder; and
criminals spewed obscenities and death threats at local cops before
asking for, and receiving, medical treatment.
We know that the drug cartels are seizing upon the absence of Border Patrol Agents who are busy tending to the influx of illegal children to run their drugs across the border. Anyone with any knowledge of the border situation will agree that the border is virtually wide open.
Why is it that everytime someone like Jan Brewer or Rick Perry makes a move to stop this problem they get branded as being racist against Mexicans and as being anti-immigrants? Doesn't anyone grasp the magnitude of this problem?
It doesn't take Congress to pass legislation. It shouldn't take border governors to intervene. All it takes is for the Absentee President in the White House to order the Justice Department to enforce the law, while sending a few thousand troops to seal the border off. All Obama has to do is sign an order and make a telephone call.
Why won't Americans stand up and make him do his damned job?
That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

GUN NEWS
SPECIAL POST
A Federal Judge has ruled that residents of Washington D.C. can carry their guns in public and can have concealed-carry permits. Their reasoning: "Just because you leave your house doesn't mean you lose your rights." But, before Washingtonians had the opportunity to strap on their weapons, the Judge declared a 90-day stay to allow opponents to file an appeal and/or design new laws and regulations to deal with the ruling.
In the meanwhile, a wacko went into a mental health clinic, pulled out his gun and started shooting, killing a counselor. A staff doctor pulled out his own gun and shot the wacko; others came in and controlled the suspect until the cops arrived. The clinic has a policy that no one except security personnel is permitted to have a gun on the premises, but it appears they are going to make an exception in this case.
Both of these events show some promise in the gun control battle. The Judge's ruling was absolutely correct and the clinic is to be congratulated for showing a little common sense in the administration of its policy.
I have to get back to the underlying issue of carrying a gun: Why does one consider it necessary to carry openly or concealed? In the first place, I consider open-carry to be vulgar and an invitation for trouble; it's somewhat akin to walking around with your fly open and your dangle dangling. Generally speaking, those "Rambos" use hubcaps for belt buckles. Those who conceal-carry and who are not off-duty cops or undercover agents sincerely want to protect themselves and those who accompany them from potential violence.
The plain fact is that the likelihood of a law enforcement officer being on the scene when a thug starts an act of violence are slim and none. Moreover, the odds of one appearing within five minutes are also slim and none. Finally, the odds of the thug listening to you when you plead, "Please don't shoot," are likewise slim and none.
Yes, I believe one should have a permit to carry as long as the fee is reasonable and the requirements are not insane. There should be a mental and criminal background check and required training in applicable laws as well as range firing to prove competency in handling the weapon. Beyond that, there should be no restrictions.
While I do not believe in a Federal permit to carry, I do believe that every state should recognize and accept concealed carry permits issued by every other state. And, under the circumstances outlined here, I believe that those who have a permit to carry should be authorized to carry anywhere, the only exceptions being a Courthouse, within proximity of the President or while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

OBAMA HUFFS AND PUFFS; WILL THE KREMLIN COME TUMBLING DOWN?
SPECIAL POST
Obama has penned a letter to Putin protesting that Russia has broken the 1987 treaty against testing cruise missiles, and more specifically that Putin has been doing so on a regular basis since 2008. The administration has also released satellite images which clearly show that Russia is firing heavy artillery rounds from Russia into Ukraine.
Gosh. Gee whillikers. You don't suppose Obama has drawn another one of those infamous "red lines" do you? Maybe, when he waffles on this one, Assad will bail Obama's fanny out.
Why do you suppose Obama knew of these tests since 2008 and didn't say a damned word to anyone about it until yesterday? Could it be because his ratings are in the toilet? One does get the impression of a flailing President, grasping at straws or anything else he can to prevent his ship from sinking in the quick sand.
I really should not be poking fun at this imbecile; after all, it's the future of America's existence that is on the line. But, I should also point out that a five-year-old kid in kindergarten could do a better job of leading this country than Obama is unless, of course, he's already been subjected to "Common Core."
The question is: Can he be impeached? The logical answer: He'll get off on a plea of insanity.
In the meanwhile, my bet is that Putin is not losing any sleep over Obama's letter. Hell, it'll take three weeks to get there. If it was so damned important, you'd expect Obama to get Putin on the phone. Oh... I forgot that Putin's not taking any calls from Obama anymore.

NFL HAS NO BUSINESS SUSPENDING RICE
SPECIAL POST
I take issue with the right or the responsibility of the NFL, or any employer for that matter, to discipline an employee for criminal or civil infractions of the law that occur outside of the scope of employment. Now, don't get me wrong: If the activity involves the physical ability of the employee to safely perform his employment duties, then I don't have an issue with it. Hence, I don't have a problem with punishment for illegal drug use, legal drug abuse, steroids, etc.
The realm for prosecution for wrongs against humanity is the criminal justice system, just as the realm for perceived wrongs between individuals is in a civil proceeding. When you allow or require an employer to also administer some judgment and to take action accordingly, that is not only double-jeopardy but it is also an interference in the employer-employee relationship and, I believe, a violation of the right to privacy.
Hence, when Ray Rice beat on his girlfriend, the NFL should have kept its nose totally out of it. Now, if the criminal judge sentences him to a month in jail and he misses playing four games because of it, then he can be and should be punished for failure to perform his duties or his end of the contract.
But, I'll be damned if I want my boss suspending ME for a week because I'm fat, I had an affair with a married woman or I got a parking ticket... and those absurdities are where this country is heading if we allow this liberal encroachment on fundamental rights in this country to continue unchecked, unfettered.

OBAMA NOW FEARS IMPEACHMENT
There has been a totally unexpected development at the White House: El Presidente Obama has come to understand that should he grant the illegals amnesty under an Executive Order as he has been intending to do while Congress goes on vacation starting next week, the odds of his being impeached increase dramatically.
The situation is that Americans as a whole, across all political lines, are sick and tired of the immigration mess. As a result, the Democrats have come to understand that their jobs will be on the line in November. Add that threat to ObamaCare woes, the Benghazi cover-up, the I.R.S. dirt and a flailing foreign policy, and the Democrats are jumping Obama's ship like the rats they really are.
Up to this point, it has been a safe bet that even if the House voted Articles of Impeachment against Obama, the Democrat-controlled Senate would never find him guilty; they might even refuse to have a trial as required by the Constitution. But now, with the very future of their party at stake, observers feel that the Senate would have a difficult time obtaining enough votes to save Obama.
So, El Presidente decided he'd better at least try to talk with the leaders of the Central American countries where the current batch of illegals are embarking from. And, for the moment at least, plans to grant blanket amnesty have stalled.
My fellow Americans, thank you for stepping up to the plate at last. Without you and your voices of disdain, the message to Obama would already have fallen on deaf ears. And, he may yet go ahead with his plan and let the chips fall where they may. But, we have to keep the heat on and we have to constantly, daily remind Congress that we HAVE had enough.

I.R.S.: IS CONGRESS BUFFALOED?
SPECIAL POST
Why, you ask, is the I.R.S.. playing these games over missing emails? First, Lerner pleads the Fifth, then her emails come up missing. Then the President sends in John Koskinen to clean up the I.R.S. mess and he is obviously lying and stonewalling. Then they decide to go after other emails in the I.R.S. to see what Lerner might have sent them and we have six more computers crash. Now, that number is up to 20 including computers in some other agencies that may have head dealings with Lerner.
It's not just Lerner who's in the hot seat or they probably would have let her fry. So, why are the "viruses" that are causing the computers to "crash" spreading like wildfire? Suddenly, backups appear, but the I.R.S. isn't turning them over. The D.O.J. conducted what is obviously a sham investigation.
What's their game plan?
I believe the "missing" emails contain undeniable evidence that Lerner was carrying out her nefarious plots at the behest of the White House and that the game plan is to keep anyone from being able to prove that before the November elections. That explains the lies, the destruction of evidence... everything.
And here we sit like bumps on a log with our mouths shut.
That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

OUR NEXT PRESIDENT
SPECIAL POST
I feel so sorry for our next President, whoever it is. Yes, I'd even feel sorry for Hillary if she got the job.
You see, this President has screwed the country up so badly that not even Hillary can stand it. It's going to be a monumental undertaking to try and undo some of the horrible things Obama has done to this country. Our friends don't trust us and our enemies want to tackle us. Our economic base is a disaster and our capitalistic system has been dealt oppressive blows. Nobody trusts a damned thing our government says and our government thinks it has an obligation to do our thinking for us. Our military has a justifiably bad morale problem. ObamaCare, as bad as it is, is becoming entrenched and will be difficult to modify, let alone to rescind; at the same time, it's costs are soaring.
Where does one begin to rebuild? Frankly, it's going to take us years, if not decades, to recover from what this demagogue has done to us. We surely need to be careful who we choose to lead us.

WORLD-WIDE RELIGIOUS WAR LOOMS
SPECIAL POST
I.S.I.S. is murdering anyone who refusing to renounce Christianity and join Islam.
The Islamic religion has spread its tentacles to virtually every country in the world. I don't have any problem getting along with Jews, Catholics, Hindus, Buddhists or what-have-you; no one in those categories advocates killing anyone who refuses to convert to their faith.
I have to expect that a significant number of Muslims living in this country will answer the call of Islam and become active terrorists; the same goes for Mexico, Canada, Britain... And the rapid growth of I.S.I.S. scares the hell out of me. When it comes right down to it, how many "Christians" these days are going to be willing to die for their beliefs?
Things are going south in the Middle East too damned fast. But, I do know one thing: if we're going to end up in a religious war, I'd just as soon have the battleground be in some other country. Iraq sounds fine to me.
That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

OBAMA KNEW ABOUT COMING BORDER CRISIS WELL IN ADVANCE
SPECIAL POST
Barack Obama knew at least two years ago that the border crisis was coming, but chose to cover it up and not mention it according to a weekend report by Judge Jeanine of FOX NEWS. Obama was evidently afraid that public knowledge would hurt his reelection chances. Nevertheless, he had every chance to prepare for it, to arrange housing in advance, to speed up the hearing processes and to decide how to return them to their native countries, but he chose not to do so because he foresaw that the resulting "emergency" would help him get HIS immigration reform package through Congress when the time came.
That all makes sense to me; you don't move tens of thousands of illegals anywhere without authorities in the countries involved knowing, and they certainly would have relayed the message to Washington. Not only did Obama cover it up, he also ordered the Border Patrol into a "catch and release" mode; he wants as many illegals as possible into the country before he issues an Executive Order for amnesty.
This "President" is by no means an American.

OBAMA FLIPS HOUSE THE BIG ONE
SPECIAL POST
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee last week was wanting to investigate whether or not Obama violated the Hatch Act when the White House reopened a political office to get Democrat votes. The White House Office of Political Affairs was previously closed in 2011 immediately before a ruling that the office violated the Hatch Act. The new office, the White House Office of Political Strategy and Outreach appears to be the exact same office with a slightly different name, (shades of the ACORN organization).
Darrell Issa subpoenaed David Simas, director of the new office, to testify last week on the subject, but Simas refused to appear and the White House said that nobody in the White House ever has to testify about anything; they're immune. This response flies in the face of a previous Federal Court ruling which says that is not true.
Don't expect this new and additional refusal to be "transparent" on the part of the White House to go anywhere; the House has proven itself to be impotent on numerous occasions in the past.

AIRLINE DISASTER: ONE BIG MISTAKE
The pilot of the ill-fated Malaysian passenger flight over Ukraine was concerned about flying over dangerous territory and altered his flight path... straight into the real danger zone where the plane was shot down, according to PATRIOTUPDATE.COM. Malaysia Airlines yesterday denied that the plane was told to alter its course.
The plane was then placed directly in the line of fire and took a missile hit that brought it down.
If I didn't know better, I'd swear that an Obama was the pilot.

REPULSIVE GANG MEMBERS AMONG NEW ILLEGALS
SPECIAL POST
TOWNHALL.COM is reporting 16 MS-13 gang members are among those housed at a border processing center in Nogales. According to the report, the gang members have admitted to murder and torture in their home countries of Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. Believe it or not, the fact that gang members were among the illegals being processed was not known and not discovered until they started tagging bathroom walls with graffiti. They have been using the processing center to recruit more members to their gang.
There have been allegations that individuals from the Middle East have been using the porous border to move back and forth across the border, potentially bringing dangerous weapons and plans with them. Many reports of finding copies of the Koran along pathways into the United States have been made in the past.
President Reagan was absolutely correct; without enforced borders we are not a nation. One thing we are becoming more and more as each day passes, however, is sitting ducks. We cannot afford to sit idly by and trust the nincompoop in the White House to "take care of it."
WE have to do something.

YOU'RE NEVER GOING TO BELIEVE THIS...
SPECIAL POST
See my Post of July 12th; your mouth is going to hit the floor when you read what now follows.
FOX NEWS reported yesterday that a Federal-Government-backed group was in the process of buying a luxury hotel in Texas for the purpose of housing illegals. BCFS, previously known as Baptist Child and Family Services, has a contract with the Department of Health and Human Services to run camps at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio and Fort Sill in Oklahoma; it had a deal to buy the Palm Aire Hotel in Weslaco, Texas, for $3.8 million. The hotel includes three swimming pools, tennis courts and an exercise room.
They backed out of the purchase due to fears the taxpayers wouldn't appreciate it.
And, I thought I was only kidding around. We just never know what the Obamacrats might possibly be up to, do we?

A FRESH WIND BLOWING IN NATIVE AMERICA
SPECIAL POST
Juvenile delinquency in Native America is on the rise and the justice systems seem to be overwhelmed. Many reservations are literally crying out for help.
The problem seems to be rooted in two facts: (1) depression, drug addiction and alcohol abuse have infected an enormous number of families in Indian Country, and (2) the simultaneous breakdown in morals, ethics, education and religious upbringing leaves children with no sense of direction and little or no self-esteem. What programs have attempted to resolve the issue have failed because funding was misappropriated, the programs attacked symptoms as opposed to root causes, or the the problems had become so insidious that a solution seemed hopeless.
A growing number of concerned Native Americans and interested professionals in the fields of juvenile delinquency, drug and alcohol abuse and human social services are raising their voices and coming together to try and create a new program which will be focused on wholesome activities for the young, teaching of religious principles and instilling self-esteem.
It's been so long since I've found anything in this country to be positive about that it is refreshing to know there are still people in this country who practice what this country used to be all about: people helping people.
Stay tuned.

THAT DAMNED RACE CARD
SPECIAL POST
Eric Holder went off yesterday about every critic of Obama being a racist.
I don't know about you, but I'm sick and tired of these guys blaming their mistakes, their failure to lead this country and all of the scandals of their own making on race. On Bush. On Congress. On us. On Fox, on Limbaugh, on the damned Constitution and on the Supreme Court.
If this is the best President the Black community can offer up to the the nation, the Black community should hang its head in shame.

ONE HUMONGOUS CHICKEN HAS COME HOME TO ROOST
SPECIAL POST
Opposition is growing to the spending of $3.7 billion plus on the illegal children problem at the border.
Here's the quandary: These children got into our country illegally. They have no right to be here. We have no legal right to spend American taxpayer money to keep them here. We have no legal right to force them into any state or city without permission. Yet, they are children most assuredly in harms way.
The plain and simple fact of the matter is that these children are here because of our President; there is no getting around that fact. In my opinion, if anyone is to pay the penalty for the situation at the border, it should be Obama... Not the children, not the Border Patrol, not Mexico, not the taxpayer and not the states and cities to which these children are being sent.
This crisis is clearly of Obama's making. He broke the law by encouraging the migration of illegals across our borders and openly refusing to enforce the laws. He has endangered the financial stability of our nation and allowed our border to be used for drug trafficking and the import of terrorism.
Barack Hussein Obama has proven one more time that he is unfit to hold the office of President of the United States.

THE ILLEGAL CHILDREN FIX
I've been mulling this over for days now. I think I've got the ideal solution.
Every city has hotels. Hotels this day and age are not running at 100% occupancy; some have even closed due to low tourism. The government could rents rooms in the hotels and house the illegal kids there. Some examples are Marriott, Hilton, Baymont, Best Western... you get the picture. Think of the money the government could save on porta-potties alone.
Hotels need maids, room service attendants, gardeners and other employees. The kids could be put to work in these jobs. This would qualify them for ObamaCare which would cover their medical needs. The resulting income tax revenues would decrease the costs of the program. Speaking of ObamaCare, the money that ObamaCare is going to save the taxpayer according to Obama could be used to pay for this program.
The dollars that the kids make will be spent for food, clothing and boom boxes. This will stimulate the general economy and get the nation back on the right track. The more kids who cross the border illegally and come under this program, the better off we will be.
Brilliant; just brilliant.... don't you think?

I DO NOT BELIEVE OUR GOVERNMENT
SPECIAL POST
Invariably, it seems these days, whenever our government tells us something it's either a huge spin or an outright lie. For the past six years, I've learned not to believe anything anybody says in Washington, especially when it comes from the White House. It was bad enough before, but it's become damned intolerable.
Now we have I.S.I.S. For several years, ever since we got into Iraq, the Democrats have been gurgling with glee that we found no chemical weapons, no weapons of mass destruction. Every chance Obama has had, he has rubbed that into the Republican faces. Now it comes that I.S.I.S. has managed to get its hands on a chemical weapons storage facility. This news actually came out last week and the current White House regime was quick to say that the weapons there certainly must have deteriorated and must be useless. They were careful to leave themselves some wiggle room, as they always are.
Yesterday, the news came that the terrorists had managed to commandeer a stash of uranium; that was quickly followed by the Administration's disclaimer that they "think" it's low-grade uranium, maybe something like yellow cake which actually could cause a lot of damage if it were to be spread around a neighborhood. Note again that they left themselves some wiggle room.
People look at me as if I am crazy when I point out that although Iran and Iraq are bitter enemies, they always manage to stand at each others' side in the face of Western adversity. When we were hot on Iranian nuclear inspections, it is quite possible Iran shipped some more highly enriched uranium to Iraq to hide and that the "find" is more ominous than it seems. The same holds true for the vanished chemical weapons that were alleged to have been there; they could have been moved to Iran.
So, these latest "revelations" scare the hell out of me. Should the verbiage emanating from the White House and State Department prove to be just a "spin," the odds are that the chemical weapons and the uranium are far more noxious than they would have us believe.
Stay tuned; I'm sure we haven't heard the last of this ugly situation.

A "NEW NATION OF ISLAM" IS BORN
SPECIAL POST
The terrorist group known as I.S.I.S. has declared a new nation of Islam, a caliphate, in portions of Iraq and Syria.
This is positively the worst setback in the Middle East in decades, if not centuries. It raises the specter of World War III; the only thing left to do is for Iran to produce a nuke and join them. The United States and the free world will rue the day we allowed this to happen.

MEXICO: UP YOURS, U.S.
SPECIAL POST
They take our money. They welcome our tourists. They willing allow illegals to cross their northern border into the U.S. They have our factories. They unjustly hold many Americans in jail, including former Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, while we do nothing. As our President wallows in endless scandals, America itself is being held hostage by our neighbor to the south, a neighbor that profits itself through the crime and corruption of illegal drug trafficking into the U.S.
Their government is thumbing its noses at ours.
Where is the outrage? How can we possibly rationalize this situation?
We need to stop trade with Mexico, stop sending them our money and bar tourism to that country. Is there anyone... ANYONE... in Washington willing to step up to that plate?
The day for holding our elected officials' feet to the fire is November 4, 2014.
That is MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

MY BROTHER ASKS A GOOD QUESTION
SPECIAL POST
My brother is much older and usually much wiser than I am. Although I have turned to him often in my life for consolation and advice which has usually been sound and correct, I am now obligated to counter his recent frolic into the world of left-wing liberalism.
He writes: "When it comes to all these kids from Central America crossing our border I become a liberal. How can we turn our backs on their plight and think of the love the parents have for them to allow them to make the trip. To send them back to a possible death sentence is inhumane."
Now, I will agree that on its surface, it is a very valid position. Yet, I must now pose some questions:
No, it is not entirely their fault that they are here; after all, our Obama government did with great deliberation and planning create every incentive for them to leave their homelands and to head to our borders. But I do not believe that we have any business or right whatsoever to take in the boundless seas of humanity until we can take care of our own.
They need to be sent home, not back through the horrors of their journeys to get here but by bus or train or plane... Explain to them why it is they cannot stay, but that there is a way for them to get here legally. Give them $100 or so in U.S. dollars and see to it that they are delivered back to their families in Central or South America.
Maybe, just maybe, we might then turn our attention to our internal issues of poverty and homelessness. Is that too much to ask?

Now, I will agree that on its surface, it is a very valid position. Yet, I must now pose some questions:
- Are we obligated to and capable of importing every being of unfortunate circumstances who can successfully violate our laws and cross our borders?
- How can we justify to ourselves the turning of our backs on the countless thousands of children and families who already live here in sickness, poverty, drug addiction and hunger while we welcome, feed, clothe, shelter and provide for these new illegals?
- If the cause is so noble, where are the voices of our religious institutions? Will they take them in?
- Will they be registered as Democrats and made eligible to vote regardless of their citizenship?
- Are they simply pawns in a much bigger and sinister political game?

TROUBLE ON THE ROAD?
SPECIAL POST
The last time I saw this much traffic on the roads of northern California was just before they pulled the rug out from underneath our economy in 2008. You would have never guessed, considering the full campgrounds, hotels and motels that prices for everything were rising, led by gasoline at the pumps. You would never know that some of the same ominous signs which preceded the last plunge are showing today.
Housing starts are heading downward; only apartment dwellings are on the positive side. The economy shrunk by almost 3% in the first quarter of 2014, a very ominous sign. While unemployment is down, employment is also down; at least 12% of the country's work force is out of work. U.S. business investment was off in the first quarter. Granted, there were some positive sides to the economic news, but the real indicator is that economists were somewhat surprised at housing starts and gross domestic product.
It could well be that the surge in travel over the 4th of July was due to the "last chance syndrome," where Americans size up the economy, international affairs and the general direction of the country and decide this may well be their "last chance" to get away for many months, or years to come.

FOOD FOR THE BARBEQUE
WHY ARE WE ALLOWING THIS COUNTRY TO BE HELD HOSTAGE BY LEFT-WING RADICALS WHOSE INSIDIOUS DISDAIN FOR OUR CONSTITUTION IS EVER-GROWING?
Think about that question and enjoy your barbeque over the weekend.
See you Monday.

THE INSPIRED AMERICAN
SPECIAL POST
Here I sit on the day before the "big event," wondering how I can convey what is on my mind without getting onto my condescending pulpit. I hope you get the gist of this; it's important.
You see, 238 years ago a bunch of radical right-wingers decided they'd had enough of big government, bad ideas and high taxes and they decided it was time to divorce this country from Great Britain. What followed was a bloody battle that eventually led to American Independence, which we are now celebrating. What you may or may not know is that our current constitutional form of government was not ratified until June 22, 1788. So, what ran our country between 1776 and 1789, when the first Congress took over?
We operated under the Articles of Confederation which were ratified in 1781. So, why did we trash that and start over with a new Constitution? It was an ineffective government. It required nine of the thirteen states to participate and make law, and nine didn't always show up. Other countries were laughing at us and domestically, our government was useless.
Here we are in 2014, with other countries laughing at us and having unwittingly ceded the power and control of our government from ourselves to Washington. As Ronald Reagan and others predicted, when government has all of the power, that's when the going gets tough.
Our government has now proven beyond a reasonable doubt that it has no intention of listening to us any more. It runs roughshod over state governments and treats us like cattle. People don't like wearing bells around their necks and getting fed manure for breakfast. That fact gave rise to the Tea Parties in 2010, organizations which have since brought fear into the hearts of the government czarists. That is the reason why Democrats and Republicans alike fear the words "Tea Party" and why they have collaborated in a full-frontal assault of marginalization for the last four years.
A Tea Party started this country and struck fear into the hearts of the King. Today's American King seems to be just as fearful, but just as much unresponsive and unjust.
So, it's our 238th birthday and we're all going to have a barbeque, a picnic, some beer, hot dogs and ribs... and we're going to celebrate. But, what is it that we are celebrating? We lost our hard-fought independence years ago. If we want it back, if we really want it back, maybe we should start giving serious consideration as to how we're going to make that happen.
As for me, I'm going to fire off a couple of emails to my Congressional delegation and then I'm heading for a Tea Party meeting. Maybe, just maybe, if we can all stand together as Americans one more time, we can vote these bastards out of office in November and hire somebody who thinks the way we do.
That's food for thought, isn't it?

WHAT HAPPENED AT BENGHAZI?
SPECIAL POST
We're almost two years down the road from the 9/11/12 massacre at Benghazi, Libya and the only news outlet that ever mentions the word anymore is FOX NEWS, and even that is becoming less and less frequent everyday. Yet, our U.S. Ambassador died there in a horrible, agonizing death along with three dedicated hero protectors.
The call for help went out, again, again and yet again. Repeatedly, the plea went unanswered; those ready and willing to try and go help were told to "stand down" and shut up. Although the evidence now available shows that the Administration, the Pentagon and the State Department were all aware from the outset that the attack came from terrorists, an instant denial of terrorism ensued along with almost a three-year cover-up. Our illustrious President, displaying dogged determination to get control of the situation, hopped on Air Force One and headed to Las Vegas to give a campaign speech. By the end of the week, the lies were in full gear and the Ambassador to the U.N. was gallivanting about the news-talk circuit asserting with full vigor the proposition that the attack was caused by an anti-Muslim video, although she knew that was not the case.
Other U.S. employees who were on the ground at the time the attack occurred have been barred from testifying as to what they saw and knew. Their identities are being kept a secret by the oppressive Obama regime. If there ever was a time for David to take on Goliath, the Benghazi story was it; yet, everyone who had even heard of the name "Obama" seemed bound by some radical and insane pledge to cover his rear-end.
I believe that 95% of the press and media cannot even spell Benghazi, because they have either steadfastly refused to report on it or they have echoed the Obama stance that "It was nothing." Tell that to the victims who died there and their families. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton didn't hesitate to do just that.
Have we gone delusional? Are we just going to let this pass?
Then, where do we get the unmitigated balls to fly the American Flag during Independence Day? Think about that before you let your flag fly this weekend.
That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

THE SUPREMES GET IT RIGHT, AGAIN
SPECIAL POST
The Supreme Court has delivered two more urgent repairs to our crumbling Constitution, reserving the right for non-members to be free of union dues; and it ruled in favor of the Hobby Lobby case, where the corporation was asserting it should not have to provide certain forms of contraception due to its religious foundation.
In the first case, the State attempted to force people who take a disabled patient home for care as opposed to leaving them in care facilities to either belong to the healthcare union or pay dues on compensation received from state disability programs, thereby literally taking food and health care away from the patient.
In the second case, the government argued that corporations are not people and therefore have no religious freedom. The Court, in its language, narrowly construed its finding to apply to "closely held corporations," meaning that there was no inherent finding either way regarding the general business community. Both decisions were 5 to 4 decisions.
In my opinion, neither case should have gotten past first base. They were without merit, as far as I am concerned. The Supreme Court has finished off this season with some excellent rationale for some sound decisions. A breath of fresh air has just wafted its way across our nation.
