SPECIAL POST
Pope
Francis says that we risk losing a generation of young people because
they cannot find jobs. "We risk having a generation that hasn't held a
job. Personal dignity
comes from working, from earning your bread. Young
people are in a crisis."
It's tough for a college grad these days to find a job doing anything,
and almost impossible to find a job that employs his educational
skills. Nevertheless, the Obama Administration insists that the job
market has virtually recovered. The percentage of people working at
part-time jobs in the country is higher than at any time in previous
U.S. history. With the advent of ObamaCare, full-time jobs are becoming
much more difficult to find and land.
The
government cannot create jobs, only business can create jobs. If
everyone in the country worked for the government, who would pay the
taxes required to support the labor force? What the Pope seems to be
pointing out to me is that the public sector of the world needs to once
again, somehow, have business conditions favorable toward business
growth and the resulting hiring. As long as we have THIS President in
office, however, that condition will never happen.
That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.
