The move by some Electoral College dissidents to demand an intelligence briefing regarding purported Russian hacking into and influence over the election has been spurned by the intelligence community. For one thing, they would probably need to obtain security clearances.
But more than that, determining whether or not there was the possibility of some illicit or illegal tampering with the election process is not their job; their job is to cast ballots for president in accordance with the voted wishes of the electorate... nothing more, nothing less. If there is a problem with the process, that is up to the Federal Election Commission to determine; they can call in the F.B.I. if need be.
All of this last-minute maneuvering by the disenchanted Democrat Party only serves to prove that they have been too busy feathering their own nests to attend to the business of the people and of the nation.
