Federal law requires that state, county and city law enforcement agencies turn over illegal aliens who have committed crimes to I.C.E. for the purpose of deportation. Dozens of cities across the country have declared themselves to be "Sanctuary Cities" where illegals can come and reside knowing that local law enforcement will not turn them over to I.C.E. under any circumstances. That's how Kate Steinle ended up getting killed in San Francisco... by just such an illegal alien.
Trump has vowed to stop the practice by withholding federal funding from such cities and threatening to prosecute city authorities who do not comply with the law. Most of these cities are vowing that they don't care what Trump threatens or what the law says; they will not comply.
I do not think that we Americans should be supporting lawbreakers by patronizing their businesses. We should not travel there, we shouldn't buy goods from there, we shouldn't have conventions and meetings there. For one thing, it's far more dangerous to visit a sanctuary city than anywhere else in this country.
If they do not want to,abide by the laws of this country, we have no business doing any business with any of them.
