A LEADER SEES TARNISH ON THE REPUBLICAN HORIZON

Mike Huckabee has lashed out at the Republican Party, over its endorsement of a moderate candidate for the U.S. Senate in Florida. The Republicans endorsed Governor Charles Crist over another primary candidate, Marco Rubio. Rubio has an unblemished record, albeit it somewhat more conservative than Crist's.

“I’m disgusted that they would take a position in a hotly contested race when you have a quality candidate like Marco Rubio, who was the youngest Speaker in the Florida House,” Huckabee said. “This is not just some nameless, faceless guy that decided to throw his name in, who had no chance and no credibility.

“I thought that their endorsement not only was premature, but was outrageous. And they ought to get behind the guy who would do a whole lot more, in my mind, to unite and fire up Republicans, and that’s Marco Rubio.

“The establishment Republicans have made this endorsement for the same reason that they’re in so much trouble,” Huckabee said. “They go out there and support stuff like TARP bills and stimulus packages, pork-barrel spending and huge debt, and they wring their hands and act like, 'This is not good, but we don’t have a choice.' "

Well, Mr. Huckabee, now you know why there are one helluva lot of Republicans who are fed up, and who have been fed up since long before John McCain got the nomination. For one thing, the Republicans were in control during George Bush's first term and they fumbled the ball. They acted like a bunch of Democrats in a china closet, made a lot of noise, and didn't accomplish anything.

Frankly, I think most of them are closet Democrats, anyway.

There was a time, probably before your memory, Mr. Huckabee, when this country had backbone. We had firm and just beliefs about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and we refused to back away from those ideals. Yes, we wavered during the Johnson, Nixon, Carter years, but Ronald Regan restored our compass and got us pointed back in the right direction.

What has happened to this country, and to the Republican Party in particular since then, defies logic and it defies even the wildest imagination.

There are so many Americans in both parties right now who are beyond disenchanted with what is happening to our homeland. We want things to be right, but our leaders seem to want things to be
wrong.

That's why the Republican Party needs to be ditched and a new party needs to be formed that has the guts, the courage, the backbone and the leadership to stand up in the face of almost overwhelming adversity and to do what is right.

And, we most certainly cannot wait until 2010 to start the project.

That's

BIG BROTHER TAKES OVER: MY GOD, WHAT HAVE WE DONE?

Be careful of what you say or do. The government, "Big Brother," is watching.

Several months ago, I posted that the technology was in place and had been tested so that, when the orange light in your car's instrument cluster turns on, a message will be sent via satellite to the state where your car is registered, which in turn could cause the state to send you a ticket for failing to maintain your car's emission control system. Now, of course, the feds are taking over the auto manufacturing industry which puts them in the potential position of being able to get you ticketed, ticketed, and ticketed until you buy one of their smaller, more fuel efficient cars.

Now comes the fat monitor. The device has been invented that will fit around your belly and keep track of what you eat. If you eat unhealthy, it will notify a computer data base someplace. Theoretically, then, someone from the Department of Health and Human Services could fine you. After all, as I heard it argued by some faceless far-left liberal, if the government is going to pay for your health care, it has every right to control how much you eat and how you exercise.

When you turn on the television and you watch the situation in Iran and you hear that the Ayatollah has decreed that the street protests ARE going to stop or else, ask yourself how you will feel when, in a few years, we get the same message from those in power in Washington. The fact is, we are already edging dangerously close to living in fascism.

What needs to happen is that the nation's populace needs to be educated. No one is taking it upon themselves to educate the nation about the real history of this country or about the vigilance that we must maintain to protect our liberty and freedoms. That needs to happen, and it needs to begin without delay. As it is, it's a shouting match between the left and the right, and since the left controls the schools, universities and media, they are able to snuff out the truth.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

AMERICANS' GROWING DISCONTENT

SPECIAL POST

I'm not a great fan of Bush, either, but am glad that he finally spoke up yesterday. I also agree with the woman who wrote the letter that Glen Beck aired yesterday. She was a lifetime Democrat, switched to Republican and has since discovered she doesn't like that party, either. What this country needs is a new party. If the Republicans were all that great, they certainly had the chance to shine during 2001-2005, which they did not, and to a lesser degree 2005-2008 which they sure as hell did not. Now, with the Dems totally in charge, the not-so-Grand Old Party may as well roll over and play dead, which I think they are doing to a great degree.

I did hear some interesting figures being tossed around yesterday. This health plan or lack of it, which they want us to approve anyway, $1.3 trillion will get 10 million more people on health care, as high as $3 trillion to get 40 million more covered.

Now, he wants to boycott Fox. Fox is "totally dedicated to making me look bad." He's made no bones about it, he wants Fox off the air. Fox has more viewers than CNN, CNBC and NBC combined, and he wants them off the air. Fox is still gaining in popularity and he wants them off the air. Why? From my listening point of view, I hear most of the commentators at least presenting both sides of the issue, except for Hannity. Hannity sometimes does go overboard in anti-Obama campaigning, but the network as a whole does present both sides. Obama wants them shut down because they do present both sides, unlike the rest of the media that only talks about HIS side. And, of course, history has proven that he who controls the media controls the country.

I don't think most Americans want to be controlled anymore.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

HEALTH CARE: DO WE HAVE TIME IN THIS "NATIONAL EMERGENCY" TO DISCUSS THESE QUESTIONS?

SPECIAL POST

1. Is everyone entitled to the same quality and degree of health care, regardless of financial position?
2. Are good providers entitled to make more than bad ones?
3. Is every American entitled to some degree of health care?
4. Are illegal aliens entitled to free health care at our expense?
5. Where will the providers come from?
6. Is there truth to the allegation that government run health care will make matters worse?
7. If there are inefficiencies in Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance, why not create a task force to investigate and cure those inefficiencies?
8. Why not allow foreign corporations to sell pharmaceuticals in this country if they meet FDC standards?
9. How can we reduce administrative costs and get more money to the recipient's health care?
10. If there is so much waste in Medicare, Medicaid, Amtrack, USPO, and other federally operated programs, why do we think things will be different with nationalized health care?
11. Why are other countries with nationalized/socialized health care systems now moving toward privatized medicine such as we have in the United States?
12. Just because we spend more in health care dollars per patient than other countries, does that mean our system is bad?
13. Is it true that we will be required to have chip implants in order to receive health care?
14. If a health insurance company goes "belly up" because it cannot compete with the government run system, will we be obligated to bail them out? To what limits?
15. Who will make the decision as to what health care we can get? Under what criteria?
16. Is it true that we will no longer be able to claim tax deductions for medical premiums we pay or our out-of-pocket medical expenses we pay to providers we choose?
17. Who will cover the cost of nationalized health care and for how much per wage earner?
18. If a practitioner, employed by the Federal government, makes a negligent and tragic mistake that causes a loss of life, who do we sue? Or, can we sue?
19. If we disagree with the diagnosis of a federal doctor and want a second opinion, what are our options?
20. If a doctor refuses treatment in a particular case, such as later-term abortion, can he be sent to prison?

Those are MY AMERICAN QUESTIONS, respectfully submitted.

THE SKY IS FALLING! THE SKY IS FALLING!

TARP. Remember TARP? If the bill wasn't passed within a week, the world was going to end. It took three weeks and the world did not end. That was followed by another emergency calamity, and another. The world did not end. Money was admittedly....underscore that....admittedly misspent. The money spent has not saved one job, but it has caused many parties, celebrations and bonus checks.

Those three "cram downs," crammed down our throats whether we wanted them or not, perpetrated the biggest barrel of pork ever to pass through the halls of Congress and collectively indebted countless generations to come.

But, they're not through with us yet.

Gas prices are soaring. Despite predictions that gas prices would not reach $3.00 per gallon again for several years, gas prices have gone up 70 cents a gallon in northern California in the past six weeks and are at $3 a gallon. At this rate, they will be over $4 per gallon by the end of July.

It was in this column that I said last year that gas prices could not continue at those levels without having a serious adverse impact on our economy. I believe today that it was those high levels of gas prices that tipped the fragile economic scales and caused the meltdown. Now, we're in the melt down. We've burned through $3 trillion. Sales and other taxes, fees, and penalties are skyrocketing in an effort to bring money into federal and state coffers. And, the gas prices are on a rapid increase back to 2008 highs.

What the government is allowing to happen not only sucks, but the course is bound to throw the country into a depression that will make the 1930's look like child's play.

Now comes another emergency calamity. Health care. The President says the health care reform bills have to be passed before Congress goes on vacation or the sky is going to fall in. The world will end.

This is a lesson that we old farts have to pass on to the younger generation. Yes, we need to resolve the health care issue. But, we don't need to rush into another "cram down." The issue needs to be explored, solutions need to be vented, discussion needs to be had. It's not going to make one iota of difference to the timing of implementation whether we reach a good, solid conclusion in December or January or whether we rush into more stupid mistakes by the end of July.

The mere fact that the administration is trying to rush this through Congress by the end of July, thereby absolutely and affirmatively preventing public exploration and discussion of alternatives should tell us all something. The sky is
NOT falling. We do NOT need to give Congress another opportunity to misspend our money and spread more graft and corruption.

By now, I would hope that even the younger generation is tired of bending over on the freeway. We need to stop these cram downs, and we need to join together and work together to bring some sense back into the way we are running our country, and we need to do it now.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

BABY BOOMERS AND OLD FARTS: It’s Up To Us To Fix Our Country PART IV

HOW DO WE GET QUALIFIED LEADERS TO RUN FOR OFFICE?

The framers of our Constitution did not envision that Members of Congress would have a full-time job making big bucks with endless benefits; rather, they anticipated that Congress would be a part-time commitment with the positions filled by grassroots Americans who wanted to give to their country. And, patriots clamored for the Congressional seats.

We have now gravitated to the situation where big bucks are paid and those who would make good leaders for our country don't want the job. Maybe the problem goes back to the old adage, "If you get into bed with snakes, you're likely to get bit."

In the old days, candidates expected to be elected by the popular vote based upon their track records and qualifications for office. The press was not in the business of politics and ACORN had not yet been born. Today, any legitimate candidate is going to get boiled in oil by the press and the media and he's going to have to find a way to overcome the ACORNs of the world and the millions of crooked dollars that are being raised to operate campaigns.

However, when it comes to taking our country back, all is not doom and gloom. Throwing all of the incumbents out in the 2010 elections will totally upset the corruption applecart and, at the same time, those elected will be able to enact and implement much needed campaign reform that will, in turn, make it more attractive for good candidates to seek office. This can be accomplished by banding together as Americans and setting party politics aside. The common goal in 2010 will be to remove all incumbents running for office. We can, and we must, do that.

If we can make our intentions known, we can advance the stated intent to throw the bums out to the point that it becomes a subject for the polls; when the polls show that 85% of Americans are ready to throw the bums out and renew our government, it is my belief that those capable patriots who feel the same way we do will step up to the plate and run for office.

But, they're not going to do it until they know that they will have our undying support, not as Democrats, Independents or Republicans, but as Americans and that, with our support, they and we can together overcome the media, the press, the money and the corruption.

Let's start on this path today. Let's pledge together to throw the bums out.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, Respectfully submitted.

US JOURNALISTS CAUGHT IN NORTH KOREA: Special Post

SPECIAL POST

Two U.S. Journalists working for Current TV, were captured in March near the border between China and North Korea while working on a story; it has been alleged that they crossed the border into North Korea. That the news is just now coming out may well have something to do with the fact that the TV network was co-founded by former Vice President Al Gore.

Given the relations between the United States and North Korea, and given the fact that North Korea is under a very repressive and brutal regime, I find it incomprehensible that any one from the U.S. would be within 50 miles of that border for any reason. While I certainly would not want to be in their shoes, facing 10 years in a North Korean prison, I take the position that they knew of the risks before they made the journey and they chose to ignore them.

Why the United States should consistently be put in the position of having to negotiate with rogue countries to rescue stupid people who have done stupid things, I will never know.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

BABY BOOMERS AND OLD FARTS: It’s Up To Us To Fix Our Country PART III

WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE NOW TO SALVAGE OUR FUTURE

Ours is a government of the people, by the people and for the people. Theoretically, that means our government is ours to run. That, of course, is just theory. The plain and simple matter is that those of us who took Civics in High School, or who went to American Legion Boys or Girl's State, or who served in the American armed forces... We learned that the price of liberty IS eternal vigilance, and we pay close attention to our government. But, Civics is not taught in high school any more, there is no draft and very few get chosen to attend American Legion Boy's or Girl's State. In fact, those who do pay attention to our government are now being ridiculed as "extremists."

The upshot is that the torch of "eternal vigilance" has been extinguished. People take the American way of life for granted. And, without that "vigilance," our freedoms, justice... the things we hold so dear to our hearts... have been slipping through our fingers and evaporating into thin air.

Therein lies the answer as to what we old geezers need to do now to salvage our future.

During these past few decades, as we have been sleeping at the switch, government has seen fit to take advantage of our weakness; government has been, on a daily basis, glomming on to our freedoms, liberties, and justice in a subtle power grab that has, over time, almost left us defenseless. Then comes the shocker: given the current status of things in this country, the younger folks have suddenly been jolted into awareness that things "just aren't the way they should be" in America.

There's our opening. Here's what must be our agenda:

1. Re-instill American values

2. Show other Americans that yes, we still have enough power left in us to take our country back; what happened in the tax votes in California certainly demonstrates the will of the people can and must rule the day.

3. Seek out in our midst...identify those citizens who share our principles and who have the qualities of Americana and leadership that we all so desperately yearn for.

4. Plan now to toss out every incumbent, regardless of party, in November of 2010.

5. Groom those whom we have selected to take those jobs, and get them elected.

We can do these things, and we should if we are going to salvage our futures. We must start now.

BABY BOOMERS AND OLD FARTS: It’s Up To Us To Fix Our Country PART II

PART TWO OF A SERIES: WHERE DO WE START?

Those of us who grew up going to the cemeteries on Memorial Day with flowers to honor those who gave their lives for our country, know in our hearts the burdens of the past and the challenges of the future that we must meet, for our forefathers' sake, for our sake, and for the sake of generations of Americans, (hopefully), to come. The audacious behaviors of our nation's leaders over the past generation have, in a mere fraction of the history of this country, turned our nation down a new path that can only lead to the destruction of all of the fundamental values upon which this great country were founded, and ultimately could cause the fall of America as a nation.

That's a fact. You know it, and I know it. The demanding tasks before us often seem formidable, if not impossible, to overcome. Nevertheless, as Americans we can, and must, rise to the occasion.

To our benefit, the seeds of discontent have already been planted and they are taking root. The millions of citizens who protested in the American Tea Party rallies planted the seeds. The almost 4 million people who turned out in California in an off-year, off-month election to turn down five tax proposals by 65% certainly added the fertilizer. And, a whole lot of good water was added to the mix when 74% of those voters said, "No raises for elected officials in any year when we have a state budget deficit."

What we need to do now is to take the time to educate Americans as to how things really were in the late 40's, 50's and most of the 60's. We need, most of all, to talk American values, morals and ethics founded on religious beliefs that were directly responsible for propelling this nation into the position of being the leader of freedom and justice throughout the world. Those were the days when we could park our cars in the driveway at night without wondering whether or not they would be there in the morning. Those were the days when seven cops could keep peace in a city of 7,000. Those were the days when mom did bake apple pie from scratch and the only foreign cars in the country were Rolls Royces, Jaguars or MGBs, and there were damned few of them.

Those were the days when the only thing you knew about illegal drugs was what your teacher or parents taught you. Those were the days when you ran for elected office because you believed in the country and you wanted to represent your views and the views of your neighbors in government. Those were the days when Adam Clayton Powell Jr. got yelled off the continent and run out of Congress because of his corruption, and that was done without any equivocation or hesitation because Americans knew he had to go.

Those were the days when you didn't spend more than you had. Those were the days when there was honest dialogue before a bill was passed in the Legislature or the Congress. Those were the days when you could speak a whole paragraph without using the "f" word.

Most important... Those were the days when every American, black, white, Indian... yes, we had our differences and some of them were really big differences... were all proud to be Americans and we didn't apologize to any one because of it.

We made our own steel, milled our own lumber, wove our own fabrics, made our own clothes, and manufactured our own cars right here in America. Not a soul would even consider shipping his customer service department to another country to save on payroll because that was un-American. Yes, patriotism ruled the day.

We need to have a sit-down, eyeball-to-eyeball discussion with our kids and grand-kids and point out the way things were, and the way things are, because they need to have a good understanding of the foundation and the fabric that made America great in the past, before we can even begin to talk about what needs to be done to salvage our future.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

MY CALIFORNIAN OPINION: Taxes

THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER'S REVOLUTION PICKS UP SPEED

SPECIAL POST

Almost 3.9 million California taxpayers went to the polls and voted firmly against higher taxes to build a rainy day fund, education, modernization of the Lotto including a redistribution of proceeds, child services, and mental health services. 74% of those voting put a firm no on raises for elected officials whenever they can't balance the budget.

Now come the naysayers...those who do not realize the impact of the vote for what it really is. Limbaugh laments that Californians just shifted the tab to the American taxpayer. Fox News notes emphatically that it was a damned poor voter turnout....only 23% of the voters voted. The Governator put the blame for the state's financial crisis squarely at the foot of those who voted the tax increases down by saying he was going to let prisoners out, close schools and a myriad of other things because we taxpayers refused to cow-tow to Sacramento's demands to dig further into our empty pockets.

Well, here we are five months into a new Administration, in a state that always voted Democrat and which firmly backed Obama. The citizens who did vote went straight against the tax-and-spend mentality that is prevalent in Washington and Sacramento. The fact is that those who did not vote would have voted the same way as those who did vote, according to the pre-election polls. The fact is that the 66% of the Californians were not all conservative Republicans or results would have been different; this was a bi-partisan message to the country: WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH!

And, if the Administration chooses to bail California out without requiring severe spending cuts and thereby lets the California government off the hook for their failures.... we're going to be madder than hell. OUR VOTE WAS TO SIGNIFY THAT WE AMERICANS LIVING IN CALIFORNIA WANT THIS DAMNED SPEND, SPEND, SPEND, TAX, TAX, TAX mentality to end! The message is that 65 to 70% of Americans across the country feel the same way and, unless Washington gets and understands this message, they are all going to be on the outside looking in after November of 2010 and 2012.

GET THE MESSAGE RIGHT, YOU LAME-BRAINED IDIOTS! WE MEAN BUSINESS and this is not something you can wave off with a smile and a nod of condescension.

That's MY CALIFORNIAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

BABY BOOMERS AND OLD FARTS: It’s Up To Us To Fix Our Country PART I

This is the first in a series of commentaries regarding the status of our country, our economy, our morals and ethics, and our responsibilities as American citizens.

The plain and simple truth is that those of us, Democrats, Republicans and Independents alike, who are “Baby Boomers” and older, are very dissatisfied and upset with the direction our country has been taking since Reagan left office. Every President and every Congress since then has failed miserably to live up to their duties as representatives of we, the people, who ARE in charge according to our Constitution. We, the people, have allowed them to do it and today, my fellow Americans, is our day of reckoning.

Our country is in pure shambles. Our economy is in worse shape than during the Depression; we just don’t realize it yet. Our family values have evaporated as have our morals and ethics. Our country is permeated with mind-altering drugs. Our leaders are corrupt, our media and press have hidden agendas. We are without any compass in our Ship of State and our enemies are again emboldened.

Until they got hit directly in their pocketbooks, the younger generations of Americans seemed content to let their freedoms and liberties slip away, day by day and every day. Now, they awaken from their hedonistic stupors and realize that they need to do something, but they just don’t know where to start.

Those of us who grew up with REAL American values and a REAL sense of justice, freedom and liberty have growing numbers and a voice that MUST be heard and we need to seek and find the common ground to MAKE our voice heard. At the same time, we have the ability and the duty to install a new compass…a renewed sense of direction for our country… into the minds and hearts of our descendants.

Next week: WHERE DO WE START?

That’s MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

THE ENEMY CONTROLS THE MEDIA

The media says the American Tea Parties were organized by Fox News and they flopped. Those who participated are zombie followers with no brains.

The media reports every hour about some new crime committed with a gun. No crimes are committed with knives, baseball bats or poison. Therefore, the media is leading us to believe that crime will stop when guns are removed.

The media asks a question and, if the answer is not what they want to hear, they shout the respondent down.

When the media sees a streak of decency, such as Sarah Pallin or Carrie Prejean, it collectively sets out to destroy. The media never repeats a good story, but does not hesitate to repeat bad news over, and over, and over, and over again... drumming into your head.

The media does not tell you what is going on in Gaza, Spain, or anywhere else in the world.

THE MEDIA IS NOT DOING ITS JOB.

Who controls the media? You need to get your own answer to that question.

GOVERNMENT CONTINUES TO SHAFT AMERICANS: A Possible Solution

My good friend from San Jose writes:

What the democrats are doing with CIA files sickens me!! Its all political and has nothing to do with the country's welfare. How easily they forget that the whole thing started right after 9/11. Its like Monday morning quarterbacking. Have they forgotten what happened was something nobody in their wildest imagination could have predicted. It was a time for drastic measures with drastic decisions. I almost wish that we are attacked again, but such an event will of course be blamed on Bush. Had there been no Gitmo the terrorist would not have retaliated.

This administration is so corrupt it makes Clinton a saint. Consider cabinet members that have been confirmed not with suspicious character, but admitted flaws. They always have the right answers. With Geithner being "the only person in this country capable of solving the financial problems," the Administration seeks to "dumb down" America by insisting that only a tax cheat can be trusted to run the system. The head of Homeland Security is now saying that the memo affecting armed forces veterans went out without her
approval. But the biggest mess coming up is with the Merrill Lynch and Bank of America case. With the statement from the CEO of BofA to Cuomo it appears Bernanke and Paulson could be in big trouble. It is obvious the administration is committed to the Union with its new bailout money to GM.

I am buying a combination of brown and black shirts to hedge my bet on the future of this country.

And, I reply:

Your Congressional Representative Nancy Pelosi says that she would have screamed bloody murder had she known about the CIA "Torture." The top leaders in Congress are briefed regularly on national security matters. As the second in line behind the Veep for the Presidency, she receives more detailed and regular briefings. She is an outright liar when she says she didn't know anything about it. Yet, the media with the exception of Fox has not challenged her statements.

I agree that this administration, and Congress as well, are corrupt and morally bankrupt. (That's not to say that the Bush Administration was filled with saints, either). It is a well-established rule of law that creditors can force a debtor into bankruptcy in order to protect the assets of the debtor from being squandered or hidden away. The rule does require that creditors prove that the debtor owes more than it can pay.

Since the Congress represents the country as its "trustee," it seems to me that we lowly citizens could file involuntary bankruptcy proceedings against Congress, thereby freezing government funds and stopping the ridiculous and thieving bailouts; the country obviously owes more in debt than it can pay! Maybe some Constitutional lawyer could weigh in on that suggestion.

And, it seems to me that we could also easily declare Congress to be morally bankrupt as well. That's a "no-brainer."

Your other friend Miss California, who is slightly easier to look at, has been declared to be morally bankrupt by your liberal neighbors. That's like the pot calling the tar kettle black, as far as I am concerned.

When they allege that Geithner is the only guy in the country qualified to run the economy, they are in the same breath admitting that their political party is full of numbskulls. Napolitano said, before eventually apologizing for that memo, that she had "reviewed" it before authorizing it to be sent out. Obviously, she has proven her capability to lie as well, which qualifies her to run for the Presidency after Obama gets out.

The Bank of America fiasco, where stockholders were denied notice and opportunity to be heard over the bank's acquisition of Merrill Lynch for far more than market value and where the CEO of Bank of America is alleging that he was coerced into making that move by Paulson and Bernanke, could well be a red-herring designed to turn attention away from the recent disclosure that $350 billion of the first TARP bailout is missing in action. That snippit leaked out in Mid-March on a Friday night so it would get no coverage in the media, then was brought up again last week during the American Tea Parties but quickly buried again by the media.

There is a glimmer of hope in all of this, however. Fox ratings have soared in recent weeks, while NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and CNN ratings have plunged. That fact, and the recent American Tea Parties points to growing displeasure with the handling of our finances, with Congress, and with Obama. What I fear is that the liberals, when faced with such things, have a tendency to take to violent demonstrations and outbursts as a means to force their views on the rest of the country. This could be a very long and hot summer.

If you control the information conveyed to the people, you control the situation. The Soviets learned by having only one press, one broadcast network, etc. Well, what do we have now? Two, fortunately, Fox being one of the two and the administration through the FCC is trying to shut out Fox.

Yes, my fellow Americans, the idiots are running the country without impunity. The longer they get away with doing so, the more acceptable it becomes. This is why we, the patriotic Americans regardless of party affiliation, need to band together now to speak with a common voice and to stop this travesty.

I'm sorry, but I view the Republican Party as being ineffective has-beens. The Republicans had control of Congress and the White House and they could have tightened up and run a good ship, but they chose to get mired down in political arguments instead. They did not stand together in the financial decisions at the tail end of Bush and beginning of Obama. They waffle, and they do not know what their platform or beliefs are. They say they are conservative, but they do not stand for conservatism; instead, they move to the left trying to garner votes. Until they change that, I have no desire to be labeled Republican. I'm conservative, not far right and most definitely not a left-leaning Republican.

We need a new party. No American Independent Party, either. We need the Conservative Party of America. Most people don't know this, but the Republicans were once joined with the Democrats in a unified Democratic Republic Party. In essence, that's where we are right now. And, Michael Steele, as nice a guy as he is, doesn't have the balls or the ability to bring the Republican Party back into conservatism, which is the main reason the media saw fit to endorse him.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

DON'T TREAD ON US!

Those on the thrones of omnipotence in Washington have launched an all-out assault on both those rights reserved specifically to the states as well as those reserved to the people. They have set their cross hairs squarely on what we Americans, regardless of race, color, creed, or religious or political affiliation believe to to be the bulwark of our freedoms. They have thrust themselves from their seats of power straight, smack dab into our living rooms. And, they have made it abundantly clear that we, the people, are the underclass.

They ignore our national cry to stop spending our money. They listen with deaf ears to the cries of Americans to stop the denigration of America and to address the genuine needs of the people. They ignore the poor and homeless in our streets and send our money to countries that spit epithets against us.

On Wednesday, April 15th, the people took to the streets and showed the world that yes, we will persevere, regardless of our differences, because we are one nation, undivided and standing for liberty and justice for all.

We Americans have now reached the point where the rubber meets the road, and we are not backing down.
  • We shall not allow Freedom of the Press to be abridged.
  • We shall not allow those who disagree to be silenced.
  • We shall not allow our taxes to be spent without our permission.
  • We shall not allow our President to call our forefathers "arrogant and dismissive."
  • We shall not apologize for saving the world from fascism.
  • We shall not apologize for defending our Constitution.
  • We shall not turn to Socialism or Communism and ignore the blood of our forefathers who spilled their blood to defend democracy.
  • We shall turn out from office those who do not truly represent us, regardless of political affiliation.
  • WE SHALL STAND TOGETHER, UNITED AGAINST THOSE WHO WOULD TEAR US ASUNDER, AND WE SHALL PREVAIL.
WE ARE AMERICANS, blacks whites, natives, Christians, Jews and others, women, men, children, Hispanics, Italians, Polish, Germans.... WE ARE THE MELTING POT OF THE WORLD, bound together in the common beliefs of liberty and justice for all, and we shall not allow these beliefs to be abridged.

Do not make the mistake of underestimating our purpose or our resolve.
THOSE OF YOU IN WASHINGTON SHOULD NOT DISREGARD THIS MESSAGE: DON'T TREAD ON US!

United We Stand, Divided We Fall!

THE MARCH OF MARXISM IN AMERICA

AUSTRIA - June 2003: 146 comrades attended our "Pfingstseminar", a socialist youth camp organised by the Marxist tendency of "Der Funke" in co-operation with several branches of the Young Socialists (Sozialistische Jugend, SJ) and other left wing youth organisations.

Over the last nine years this seminar has developed into one of the biggest meetings within the Austrian left. This year the political programme of the camp was dominated by the debate around the movement against pensions ‘reform’. In recent weeks we have seen the biggest strikes for decades. The trade union leadership was forced to mobilise against the plans of the right wing government. However, when we left to attend the seminar the president of the Austrian Trade Union Federation (ÖGB) declared in a press conference that now it is up to parliament to decide over the pensions reform and that the trade unions will not call for further strikes. And this just after the successful strike on June 3 where 1 million workers demonstrated their willingness to defend their pensions.

All in all we had 21 workshops: Marxism and women, what is Trotskyism, what is Stalinism, individual terrorism, what programme for the young socialists, revolution in Latin America, Venezuela, war and peace on the Indian subcontinent, and many more.

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - March 2009: “Mandatory volunteerism” is one step closer to becoming a reality in America, thanks to HR 1388.

Rep. Carolyn McCarthy [D-NY] and 37 other co-sponsors introduced this public service bill to the floor of the House of Representatives, where both Republicans and Democrats combined to vote 321-105 in favor. Next it goes to the Senate for a vote, then to President Obama’s desk for his signature or veto.

The title of HR 1388 - “Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education” (GIVE) - creates an acronym that is entirely more charitable than the reality of the bill, says the blog Bungalow Bill’s Conservative Wisdom. Bill claims it will “force your children into involuntary service to the government,” and points out that numerous critics of the bill agree that HR 1388 does indeed require Americans and their children to volunteer for community service.

THE STAGE IS NOW SET. This enables our government....whoever is in charge at the time..... with the ability to use this mandatory service as a tool for political indoctrination of those in service. Is this a thinly disguised program to move us one step closer to a totalitarian Marxist government?

SPECIAL REPORT: AMERICAN CHRISTIANS AND JEWS NEED TO RISE TO THE OCCASION

SPECIAL POST

Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States, Man of the Hour....Tells the world that we are not a nation of Christians and Jews. We are "just a nation of citizens."

And, he makes this proclamation...this edict... in his own dismissive arrogance, during Holy Week.

This opprobrious statement goes beyond being offensive and inflammatory. It goes to the heart of what this country was founded on and to our individual rights to be Christians and Jews. It stirs up the prospect of religious strife and hatreds.

If Christians and Jews do not rise to this statement now, today, then we might as well just pack it in right now. It is obvious that this "worse than senseless being" not only wants our guns, he wants our religions, too.

This is a call to all good men and women of the country to meet the threat to our freedoms and ways of life that have arisen from within. And, we need to do it now.
