IS YOUR FLY OPEN?

I can’t think of anything more embarrassing than to show up at a friend’s or relative’s house for a Labor Day BBQ party with your fly open, especially when they’re throwing a big block party.  The only thing that could possibly top this gaffe would be to stand up in front of the country as President and say that next month, you’re going to make jobs your number priority after you’ve been saying the same thing every month for the past 30 months.

So, there you stand, oblivious to the fact that everyone knows you are wearing shorts with hearts on them and along comes the most beautiful woman you have ever met.  “Hi, handsome,” she coos and everyone else snickers.  You figure they’re just jealous Democrats.

Hopefully, someone will come along and tell you, “Ahem, your soldier is in danger of coming out.”  Yeah, like you suddenly feel like a Marine coming home from Afghanistan.  You don’t know it, but everyone at the party thinks you must be related to Barack Obama because he’s always trying to screw someone.

“I know what YOU want,” the guy at the grill says.  “You want a tube steak.”  Now, how did he know that?  Was that Rush Limbaugh making a political prediction?

I was at a party once and this happened to me and the host came over and said I should zip up.  I looked down to hearts and flowers and realized that I had made an ass out of myself.  I immediately did zip up and along came the beautiful dame again, this time saying, “Well, I’m so sorry to see that you don’t want to sport around.”  Now, I felt lower than a snake’s belly.

So, be careful this Labor Day weekend.  You never know who might be in the party crowd.  The Lord surely knows that you would not want to be at such an event with your fly open and along comes Nancy Pelosi.

HOW BAD IS THE TEA PARTY?

SPECIAL POST

All of the vulgarities spewing forth from the lips of “the establishment” against the American Tea Parties have reached such a level that it defies civility and far passes the test of impropriety.

The Tea Parties are made up of everyday people like you and me.  They have no “rabble-rousing” secret meetings where they practice incendiary rituals of racism or terrorism.  If anything, you’ll find the most patriotic Americans in the country assembled in the peaceful quest for information about what s going on with our country.  You’ll find that they invite political candidates of both parties to speak, they have committees to ferret out the truth about what is going on in Washington and your state capitols and they work on disseminating their information to the general public.  They do stand united against abuses of power, uncontrolled spending and violations of our Constitution.

Tea Parties are made up of old, young, black, brown, white, women, men, Democrat, Independent, Republican people.  They are all down to earth folks like the people next door who may also be Tea Party members.  Despite all of the slanderous and remarks coming from those who refuse to discuss American issues on a responsible basis, Tea Parties will survive because they have nothing to fear; while their enemies fear the truth, they do not.

Rather than listen to all of this vitriol, find out for yourself.  Seek out and attend a meeting of your local Tea Party organization today.

IS HILLARY WARMING UP IN THE BULL PEN?

SPECIAL POST

Given the totally unacceptable performance of Barack Hussein Obama in the White House, given the fact that he is lower in the polls than a snake’s belly, and given the fact that the American Tea Parties are giving the Democrats total fits, the pressure is mounting rapidly for Hillary Clinton to seek the 2012 presidential nomination.  Oh boy!

I have alluded to that possibility several times in my blogs.  In fact, a smart move on their part would be for Obama and Biden to both resign and put Hillary in the job automatically, (as Secretary of State, she’s next in line), and then to get behind her in 2012.  Of course, that’s not going to happen, but I honestly think that if Hillary announced today, she’d be 65% or higher in the Democratic polls by tomorrow and Obama would be stuck at 30%, (you have to save 5% leeway, just in case Anthony Weiner decides to run).

If Hillary does run, I do not think there is a candidate in the Republican field right now who could beat her.  She could handle Perry in a heartbeat.  Romney is toast anyway and Bachmann is losing her luster.  Cain?  Hillary might have a tough time with Cain, but I still think she’d win.  Keep your eyes on her limo and where it parks.

HAGER’S DAYS AND OTHERS SHOULD BE LIMITED

All of the way up to the day of the vote to raise the debt limit, Congressman Wally Hager (R-CA) was insisting that he would stand strong and demand a meaningful deficit reduction plan before allowing the ceiling to be lifted.  Then, on the day of the vote, he and dozens others just like him caved in and voted for the debt ceiling increase that virtually gave Obama everything he wanted and provided for no meaningful deficit reduction.

Their excuse?  If they didn’t cave in, the nation would have defaulted on its debt.  Then, they tried to hang their hats on the Special Committee that is going to resolve everything by November, stacked with six staunch Republicans and six staunch Democrats who are unlikely to compromise on anything.  If they do not come up with a viable idea, taxes will certainly increase, defense spending gets cut and an automatic deficit reduction occurs.  The very modest cuts included in that legislation largely do not kick in until 2014, where the need for cuts is immediate.

Now, Hager’s line is that this was an important first step and that they can get on with the business of further deficit reductions.  But, we have a “special committee” who is going to operate in secret to, ostensibly, make those cuts.  Further, the Congress can ignore any cuts anytime it thinks we are in an emergency situation.  Why don’t they set aside money to deal with emergencies like the rest of us do?

As a result of this lame legislation, we just kicked the can down the road again and we allowed those who would spend us into oblivion to rule the day.  There was no way we would have gone into default over an arbitrary date set by Tim Geithner.  Hager and his cohorts did the nation a big disfavor… again.  They need to be removed and replaced with people who are willing to stand up and do what is right.  .

ROMNEY GETS BEHIND AL GORE ON GLOBAL WARMING

SPECIAL POST

Presidential candidate Mitt Romney has been downplaying the fact that he pioneered the current Massachusetts health care plan, the fore-runner of “ObamaCare.”  That health care program is costing tens of millions of dollars more than forecast in that state and has Massachusetts residents up in arms.

Now, there is a new revelation.  Romney stands behind Al Gore and says that we are contributing to global warming and need to do something about it.  He’s taking this stance although it has been proven that studies supporting the global warming theories have been manipulated.  He’s also taking this stance although his chief opponent at the moment, Rick Perry, says that the global warming movement is politicized and is a “contrived phony mess.”

Romney says that “it’s important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may be significant contributors,” and he favors EPA actions.

We all know about the “greenhouse gas effect.”  Various gases including carbon monoxide and methane are supposedly depleting the ozone area.  Recent measurements of the ozone layer show it coming back together.  But, it should be pointed out that there is an abundance of methane being emitted from the halls of Congress.

Romney again seems to be showing his liberal flair.  He’s a slick talker, all right, but so is Barack Obama.

9/11/11

It’s just around the corner and the ceremony has been set.  They’re limiting access at the World Trade Center to family members so they won’t have any stinking fire fighters or rescue personnel there.  Well, they explain that they wanted the moment to be special for those families who lost loved ones there that day, as if firefighters and rescue people lost nobody.  These insensitive, ignorant and snobbish government elitists make me so sick I could just puke.

On that day, September 11, 2001, the world stood together.  All of us, black, white, brown, green, Republican, Democrat, future Tea Party members, short, fat, tall, Catholic, Jew, Presbyterian…. Just about all of us stood together, shoulder-to-shoulder, elbow-to-elbow and hand-in-hand; the Muslims stood across the street making plans for their new Mosque.

I don’t think any of us who were alive then will ever forget those awful moments, standing in front of TV sets in our living rooms, shopping malls, offices… and watching the ugly scenes unfolding before us while waiting for the next tragedy to make its appearance.  Most of us were not there on the streets of New York City or Washington; we were not onboard the planes or in the buildings, but we all felt the pain and the fear.

We looked to Washington for leadership and our President bumbled his way through things, but that didn’t matter; at least his words gave us some comfort in knowing that whoever did these things to us would pay the price.  In this Republic for which our flag stands, we truly stood united, one nation under God, with liberty and justice for all.

But today, the families of the stinkin’ firefighters and rescue people who gave their lives that day now have no place in this tragedy, no right to share their grief.  And the Muslims across the street, the ones whose brothers perpetrated this day of horror upon us, are getting ready to start their construction.

God Bless America.
