SHOULD WE JUST GIVE UP?

SPECIAL POST

That’s an interesting question.  If we throw in the sponge and let Obama have whatever he wants, it won’t be long before everybody has quit working and has gone to the government dole.  No one will need to pay taxes because the government can just print more money when it needs it.  Everyone will own their own house and electric car, and we will all have the same amount of money in the bank, which will be owned and controlled by the government so they won’t be nicking us for any bank fees.

The rich, of course, will pack up and leave the country before we glom onto their money and redistribute their wealth, but then we can convert their mansions into government-owned property for the elite government ministers to live in.  We won’t have an education problem because no one will have to go to school; the government will provide for everybody.  Just imagine, free booze, drugs and plenty of illegal aliens to go around and keep your lawn mowed.

All of this is sounding better and better every word I type.  Hell, why fight ‘em when we can join ‘em?

IN THE MEANWHILE: BACK TO OBAMA’S BIRTH CERTIFICATE

Remember all of the fuss that Donald Trump made about Obama’s birth certificate?  Remember that Barack shucked and ducked the issue and then finally produced one and Trump shut his yap?  Remember the claims that subsequently came forth that the certificate had been forged?  You may have seen the evidence showing “copy and paste” maneuvers and you may have compared the type to other type on a known legitimate birth certificate issued in the same timeframe and seen for yourself that something was amiss.

Minuteman PAC is reporting that research expert Ron Polland, Ph.D., is saying that he made the latest birth certificate himself.  Polland says he manufactured the fake certificate to prove that the “Certificate of Live Birth” that Obama was flashing around since 2008 was a fraud, and that Obama’s cronies found his fake certificate on Snopes.com and glommed onto it in an effort to shut Trump up.

Why the issue continues to drag on does bother me.  Obama has spent millions of dollars defending his right not to produce a certificate and defending the original “certificate of live birth.”  Why would he do this if the certificate was really valid?  Why wasn’t the State of Hawaii the one to release the latest “certificate” to the press and media instead of Obama’s cronies, as would be quite a bit more authentic?

One thing is certain: if Obama’s certificate is a forgery, (and we have Polland claiming that it is), and since we have Obama himself bringing it forth in a news conference, it would seem to me that we have an impeachable offense.

This is serious business and it should not be relegated to the dust bin.  We’re entitled to know.

THE NEW CONGRESS: WHAT'S AFTER NOVEMBER 2012

SPECIAL POST

When the sun finally sets on November 13, 2012 and the votes are counted, I think every seat in Congress that can be turned over will be.  The only ones who stand the slightest chance of surviving are the “new breed” of 2010, and they are doubtful.  Two-thirds of the Senate will remain intact; one third is new and won’t be up for reelection until 2016, one third will be turned out in 2014.

We will undoubtedly have a new President, and I’m not sure if it will be Hillary Clinton or Joe the Plumber.  If Hillary should decide to run, she’d beat Obama 2 to 1 in the Democratic primaries. Frankly, she and Barney Frank are the only two possibilities the donkeys currently have of retaining the Presidency.  Well, I left out Anthony Weiner.

The Democrats have a lot more to worry about than trashing Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann.  Yet, they seem to be intent on that focus.  Let them be, because all they are doing is underscoring the fact that they are not entitled to their offices on their merits; their philosophy seems to be that they don’t have to do a good job as long as they can successfully trash their enemies.

So, if the Republicans come out winners in 2012, and they likely will, then what?  If history repeats itself, as it has consistently done with the Republicans, they will proactively seize the opportunity to do nothing.  ObamaCare will not be repealed, there will be another hike in the debt ceiling, the sniping will continue and another Bush will be President.

You might ask yourself why this endless merry-go-round just goes on, and on, and on…

This is where you come in.

Go look in the mirror.  We’re the ones at fault.  Our Constitution provides that nothing can be done in Washington “without the consent of the governed.”  If we continuously allow the occupants of those seats of power to abuse their power, we are the ones who should be locked up.  We simply have to stop this loony asylum now.  We cannot wait for November of 2012 to get started; we must start today.  We have to take charge of our own destinies starting this very minute.  We have sat on our duffs for so long that it is truly a challenge to get up, but we must.  There are too many unemployed, too many homeless, too many poor and our economy is in too much of a mess; it must not be allowed to continue.  We must chop off the snake's head.

The plain, simple fact of the matter is that we cannot tolerate four more years of you!  You and I are the ones who need to change. We must set aside the time in our lives to investigate and discover what is going on and to do something about it.

If we don’t start now, it won’t get started.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR AMERICA’S TEA PARTIES?

SPECIAL POST

There we were, in the midst of runaway spending with TARP, stimulus and Health Care, bailing out this firm and that bank, taking over manufacturing companies and expanding the government sector at a record pace.  Someone, somewhere suggested that we all get together and send every member of Congress a tea bag in protest.  The American Tea Party movements were born.

Millions of Americans from all walks of life and all political parties joined state and local tea party organizations and started to educate themselves and others about what was going on in Washington.  Both major political parties tried to ignore the growing ruckus, but a major demonstration on the steps of the nation’s Capitol drove the point home: Americans were ticked off.

By the time the November 2010 elections arrived, the various tea party movements had gathered steam, picked some favorite candidates and were able to exert tremendous influence over the outcomes, thereby chasing our dozens of scurrilous Congressional members and installing dozens of fresh faces.  Now, the tea parties had proven themselves to be someone to be reckoned with.

So far, so good.  The problem with this true story is that the tea parties are individual organizations, not connected in any official way and with no cohesive and centralized voice.  The cracks began to show when the heat was turned up over the FY2011 budget, and the influence of the tea parties was all but lost in the shuffle.  When the recent budget talks got under way, Democrats bombarded the tea parties with fowl and foul language.  Differing voices spoke out about “official” tea party positions, some of which were outlandish and did not serve the movement well.

The Republicans, unwilling to stand on their own two feet and upon seeing the waffling of the tea party movements, caved in at the last moment; that set up the stage for the downgrading of the national credit and the expressions of outright dismay from China.

Now what?

There are two schools of thought.  One is that the tea parties, having no central organization and no common voice, will now dry up and blow away.  The other scenario is that the tea parties coalesce into one united organization with a common platform.  This itself could take two forms, one with the various organizations still having some local autonomy while belonging to the national organization, and the other being the dissolution of local chapters and the emergence of one united American Tea Party.  In the latter event, local chapters and members would have to be willing to compromise some of their favorite positions and to take on others.

I think all of us who have followed the decline of America over the last 20 years would agree that the tea parties provided a big and welcome breeze of fresh air.  Suddenly, Mr. and Mrs. America saw that, by standing together arm-in-arm, hand-to-hand and shoulder-to-shoulder, they could have a profound influence on what mischief was being created in Washington.  For the first time in years, hope was created where all hope had been lost.

To that end, we all owe the tea parties profound gratitude.  They woke us up.  They showed us the way.

We cannot allow this grassroots movement of Americans to dry up and blow away.  We cannot turn our backs on that beacon of hope.  Now is the time for us to get behind the tea parties and to urge their merging into one voice.  We need a United American Tea Party that can set its sights on achieving political office where Democrats and Republicans are failing to respond to the American dream.  I strongly urge all involved to consider this message and to act accordingly.

THANK GOD FOR BARRY

SPECIAL POST

Ah, yes.  It is a good morning.  The biggest bombshell to hit the U.S. in recent history struck yesterday with the downgrade of the debt.  This came even though our illustrious Messiah called S&P and tried to head it off.  Then he blamed the Republicans, the gulf oil crisis, Bush, the Japanese tsunami and the penguins in Bakersfield before heading off to Camp David for a wild weekend of sulking and whining.  How invigorating!  And it’s so wonderful that the birthday boy is going to be heading off to New York Thursday for yet another birthday bash where he’s charging $71,600 a plate to raise another $2 million for his campaign.

I am sooooo happy, I could just shit.

NICE LETTER TO THE NRCC

Mr. Keith Davis, Treasurer
National Republican Congressional Committee
PO Box 98219
Washington   DC   20077-4591

In re: Your request for a donation

Dear Mr. Davis:

I know that I wrote in January expressing that I would not give a dime to the NRCC until at least January of 2012 and that it depended on whether or not the Republicans stood up to the plate or not.

Well, these last few weeks had me rethinking my position.  I was excited and energized as I saw John Boehner and the House Republicans stand tall, firm and proud when it came to the debt-deficit issue.  “Gosh,” I thought to myself, “These guys are serious and we’re going to finally make some progress on this horrible national economy.”  In fact, I even started to reach for my checkbook.

And then, just like they have done so many countless times before, the guys caved in at the last minute and nothing positive got done.  The Democrats did get their debt limit increase and a whole lot of meaningless bull got spread around The Hill on both sides of the aisle about how great the fix was for the country.

You guys still don’t get the message, do you?  The reason you have no money is because you are not doing the job the American Republicans want you to do.  We expect more and we’re not getting it.  Hell, you might as well just go merge with the Democratic Party and get it over with; why put yourselves through the misery any longer?

So, no check.  I did write one out for the Heritage Foundation and one for the American Tea Party.  Maybe one of these days you smart folks there in Washington will wake up and understand that you are supposed to work for us.  Let me tell you, it surely would be a breath of fresh air.

That's MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

STICKS AND STONES FROM AN AMERICAN TERRORIST

SPECIAL POST

To the Democrats and left-wingers of the country:

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but your nasty words will never hurt me.

American Tea Party Member, and damned proud of it.

THIS GOVERNMENT SUCKS!

SPECIAL POST

Once again, Congress has proven that the desires of a contemptuous President can trump the needs of a desperate America.  It would much prefer that the nation remain at fiscal peril than to deal with the problem like adults, simply because of politics.

There’s not a damned thing in this bill, not one, that has the country stepping up to the plate and resolving the issues.  There’s less than $20 billion in cuts next year and those cuts were already there, in place, anyway.  The bulk of the “cuts” don’t kick in until 2016 or beyond; how does that help us today, when we need the help?  Spending has not been cut one dime.  Spending actually increases; they are depending on growth in the economy to make their plan work and it is a forecasted growth that will not occur according to growth figures of the last 24 months.

This “committee” may come up with its recommendations and the House and Senate may vote, but the President can still veto.

This whole exercise was a sham from the beginning.  It was all cheap talk, smoke and mirrors. They all knew going in that they simply had to find a way to shuck and duck and to make each other look good at the same time.  That’s what it was all about; nothing more and nothing less. But, there are no real winners here because once-proud America is the total loser.

The President has his 50th birthday party at the White House on the 3rd and he’s demanded that it be a happy one.  Congress did exactly what the Premier told them to.  It’s that simple. Screw the bastards... all of them.

That’s MY AMERICAN OPINION, respectfully submitted.

ANOTHER DEMOCRATIC SCAM

SPECIAL POST

Here are the facts... Spending continues to go up every year, the "spending reductions" don't start to kick in until down the road and that doesn't mean spit, the President still has veto power over anything a "committee" comes up with, the national debt continues to go up, there is no real balanced budget.  But, it does make the Democrats look good, the Republicans look good, and the President look better.

Isn't that sweet? Yes, it is a "sweetheart deal," at a time when this country can't have any more phony solutions to real problems.
