NUCLEAR REACTION: After Iran, What’s Next?

As you are reading this posting, Russia and Iran are beginning the process of loading nuclear rods into Iran’s new nuclear generator. From this point on, the odds of Israel or any other country bombing and destroying that nuclear facility are greatly diminishing, simply because such an event would undoubtedly spread radioactivity around the nearby landscape and into the air where it could travel to another nearby country. Russia and Iran have professed an agreement between them whereby Russia will be removing any weapons-grade material from the reactor and taking it back to Russia. Of course, we know that the Russians and the Iranians are well-known for lying through their collective teeth.

For all intents and purposes, Iran is now a nuclear country and will shortly have an additional source of supply for bomb-making materiel. So, what happens now?

Well, the immediate concern is that we allowed Iran to do this. How can we now justify preventing Syria, Egypt, Yemen and other Middle East countries from following suit? We have just opened the door that we and other nations have long sought to prevent: nuclear proliferation. Furthermore, with this list of rogue nations being involved the odds of nuclear material or bombs falling into the hands of terrorists has just gone sky high.

No wonder Obama left town for ten days.

When you are dealing with the enemy, you should always deal from a position of strength. As long as we had nukes and they didn’t, our margin of strength was ultimately sufficient. Within a very short time, that margin is going to evaporate. You can expect that those countries, now led by Iran, will gear up their rhetoric against this country and its allies. You can expect an increase in the level of terrorist activities. You can expect a growing trend of belligerence.

I think I have to say that our President has not handled the issue of our national security at all well in this instance. And in determining what we should do next, we have to understand that we are saddled with Barack Hussein Obama in the White House for the next 28 months. Given what Obama has done to this country over the past 20 months, we must understand that we need a change in the balance of power in Washington.

Yes, this next election should be about removing the incompetent, holier-than-thou incumbents regardless of political party. But, there has now been a not-so-subtle shift in my thinking. Now more than ever, we need to isolate Obama and neutralize his ability to make decisions that will continue to adversely affect our national security, our economy, and our freedom.

This is not by any remote possibility about any mandate for the Republicans, although that undoubtedly will try to use it as such. But, I guess we’re going to have to vote Republican simply for the purpose of reigning Obama in. Then, we’re going to have to go after the Republicans and watch them like hawks.

Based on everything that is happening and the fact that the Republicans are still as dense as their Democrat counterparts, I predict that the Tea Party will evolve into a political party before the 2012 elections.

In the meanwhile, I guess we’ll all have to sit on our porches with our rifles in our laps, waiting for one of those nuclear-equipped terrorists to come by.

ECONOMIC WOES; THE AUDACITY OF OUR PRESIDENT

It was in the news this morning; first time jobless claims rose to 500,000 last month, the highest figure since November of 2009. Wafting out of the putrid cellars of Washington earlier this week came the news that some 200 cities across the country are going to be faced with higher unemployment and near-hopeless budget deficits. The Congressional Budget Office this morning released news that the nation's debt will increase by almost $1.5 trillion average each year over the next three years. Housing sales, both new and used, are in the tank; foreclosures are up. Pressure to raise interest rates is mounting.

And here we have our President of the United States running around flapping his gums over the building of a Muslim Mosque.

THE 14TH AMENDMENT: IS CITIZENSHIP A BIRTH RIGHT?

Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws. 

Section 2. Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age, and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such State.

Section 3. No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may, by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

Section 4. The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.

Section 5. The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.

There it is in its whole context, just for your information. It’s Section 1 that is being used to allow illegal aliens to crawl over the border and have a baby, thereby having a U.S. citizen in the family and, presumably, gaining the right to live here forever at our expense. There are some people out there who latch onto the words “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof” as a means of rejecting citizenship for those babies.

I don’t get it. If they are here, they are subject to our jurisdiction. To me, the argument is fallacious.

So, do we go ahead and modify or repeal this section of the 14th Amendment?

I don’t know why we simply refuse… refuse… to uphold the laws of the United States as they exist. Number one, if you cross the border illegally, you get sent home. Period. Number two, if you cross the border illegally and have a child here, you get sent home. Period. Having a child here gives you no rights. Where does it say you have rights if you have a child here? You go home, back to Mexico, and you either take your U.S. citizen child with you, or you leave him or her here. If you leave them here, you give up your parental rights.

Now, you can call me whatever you want. I’m in no way denying anyone the right to move here and live here legally. But, if you cross the border illegally, you have no rights. You’re definitely not a citizen and you are not here on a visa or passport, so you have no rights.

That’s the law, that’s the way it was intended to be, and that’s the way it should be. If they don’t like it, they shouldn’t cross the damned border illegally. Furthermore, anyone who aids and abets should be charged with a crime. If you aid a bank robber, you go to jail. If you aid an illegal, you go to jail.

So, just what is so damned difficult about that? 

THE NEW YORK MOSQUE: WHY IT IS A DEAD RINGER FOR OBAMACARE

I am outraged at the insensitivity of the New Yorker liberal left who think they have the almighty power to force Americans to rub their faces in the atrocities of the Muslim world so horribly played out in this country on September 11, 2001. Who gives a damn whether they are Japs who just bombed Pearl Harbor or Muslims who just bombed New York City? We don’t want their damned shrine sitting next to the U.S.S. Arizona OR the World Trade Center. It’s not religious intolerance and it’s not ethnic insensitivity, it’s just a plain damned fact.

How dare they allow this Muslim Shrine to be built in that spot… with a scheduled opening of September 11, 2011, ten years to the day from the horrible disaster they perpetrated on this country. Yes, they are all together in perpetrating this terrible injustice, from the time the plans were made to bring the World Trade Center down to the purchase of this land and the plans to open it as a mosque ten years later. The people involved are followers of Sharia Law; study it.

And, the far-left liberals in this country are bound and determined to shove the faces of those patriotic Americans who still believe in what this country once stood for as far into the camel dung as they possibly can. That Mayor Bloomberg, presumably a Jew, can tolerate even the thought of this project is beyond my comprehension.

When did this project get started? Is it a coincidence that, when Chairman Barack and his Deputy Chairman Holder announced they were going to try Khalid Sheik Mohamed in almost that same location and American public became outraged… Is it a coincidence that the “dream” for this shrine was born at that time? Is it not obvious that the radical Muslim world wants to lay the shame of our weakness in the shadows of where the World Trade Center once stood? If they can’t have their trial to shame us, then they will have their mosque?

The proof of their intent is that they refuse to build this mosque, this shrine, anywhere else in this entire country or anywhere else in New York City. It has to be there, at that spot; otherwise, they cannot teach us their lesson.

It has morphed into a matter of… they will get their way or else. They resorted to trickery, thievery, bribery, corruption, lies, threats and everything else to pass the Health Care Bill, totally against the American will. This is a matter of demonstrating to us where the power in this country is, that we have none, that we are too weak to stand up for ourselves. When we were outraged over their health care plan, they conspired to show us who is in charge of this country.

The mosque project in New York City has lined itself up in the same manner. They intend to rub our noses in the stench of 9/11 one way or another and they do not give one iota what we think about it. Once again, they will demonstrate to us that we, the people, are weak and willing to put up with whatever they, the elite far-left radical bastards want to dish out.

Enough is enough.

OUR GOVERNMENT HAS BECOME OUR ENEMY

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu said Monday that “Our own government has become our enemy.” He was referring to the Justice Department‘s taking Arizona to court over its immigration bill, but the plain fact is our government has become our enemy in just about every facet of our daily lives and every tenet of our personal and religious belief systems. Obama has rubbed our noses in it and Congress has been complicit in it.

We all know the stories, from health care to the immigration issue to the economy to deficit spending to unemployment….. There’s not enough room on this blog to list all of the yelling and screaming we have done over all of the issues raised. Yet, Chairman Barack, the Czars and the Congress have ignored the will of the people and shoved it all up our fannies. The following is but one example:

In 1934, war veterans erected a cross in the Mojave Desert about 30 miles east of Baker, California to honor those killed in war. Anti-Christian, atheist organizations and the ACLU filed suit in 2001 to have it taken down, as it was on federally-owned land. The case made its way through the courts over many years and, On April 28, 2010, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled the cross could stay. On May 10th, “unknown vandals” stole it. 

The VFW erected a replica of the cross and the National Park Service immediately removed the replica, alleging that the Supreme Court ruling only covered the original cross and not the replacement cross. An appeal was made to Eric Holder and the Department of Justice and they refused to budge.

Obviously, what happened here is that those who wanted the cross torn down, having lost their case, arranged for someone to take it down and our government, directly ignoring the intent of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on the matter, allowed for the injustice to be carried out… despite the objections of hundreds of thousands of U.S. military veterans and the general public.

To be short and to the point, this and so many other instances underscore the fact that…our government has become our enemy.

CHAIRMAN BARACK: THE STORY ON 73,000 BLOGS IS JUST THE BEGINNING

Last week, I ranted about 73,000 blogs being shut down by the Obama Gestapo without any charges being filed or Court order issued. This is a violation of every facet of American freedom and is akin to storm troopers ramming down your doors, accusing you of issuing statements against the regime, and throwing you in a gulag forever… or worse.

The fact that the White House has not commented and the mainstream media has not followed up on this story is solid evidence that the “machine” has something nasty to hide. Remember… this is the site where you first learned about the Black Panthers intimidating Philadelphia voters in 2008, when the mainstream media didn’t carry the story and the White House refused comment. Now, 20 months later, it’s a story.

Well, so is the story about the 73,000 blogs being shut down without Court Order, without a hearing, without any charges being filed. It’s a story, and you need to tune in to it. 

Pay attention to news now seeping out of the new Financial Reform Act: A provision buried in the financial reform bill allows the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to ignore a vast array of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. That is, the SEC could now be allowed to ignore any and all requests for information about its activities.

Why?

The issue came to a head last week as part of an ongoing FOIA dispute between the SEC and the FOX Business Network.  FOX Business sued the SEC in March 2009 for failing to produce documents related to the agency’s botched investigations of the Madoff and Stanford Ponzi schemes. Now the SEC is taking the position that a provision in the recently passed Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act exempts the agency from releasing any documents related to FOX Business’s request. This means that the SEC has become exempt from telling anyone what it is doing, providing information or answering to the public for what it does. It gives the SEC more powers of secrecy than the CIA has.  

Why?

The FBI, under the direction of Attorney General Holder, acting under the cover of a technical change to existing legislation, is now about to seize power to require businesses to turn over emails and other electronic communications without Court order or warrant. It will require Internet providers to turn over meta-data about a user's traffic habits without having to show any justification. Moreover, the initiative requires the business not to tell the internet user that the records have been seized. 

Why? 

Can you honestly sit there and tell me that these secretive moves by the government are not tantamount to S.S. operations carried out in the Soviet Union or Hitler’s Germany? This is not simple skirting of law; it is a direction violation of rights to privacy, freedom and justice. 

As for the 73,000 blogs, there has been a complete and total blackout of information imposed by someone in a position of power to do so. The initial story was that the blogs were shut down for violations of copyright law and similar offenses. Then, a story circulated that the blogs, all 73,000 of them, were associated with terrorist activities. Now, we hear that the agency that shut the blogs down was the Department of Immigration and Naturalization.

What gives?

It appears to me that Barack Hussein Obama has set himself up to be the “front man,” the Chairman Mao who sets about trying to dissuade and mislead the masses while the real culprits, the White House Czars, set about their nefarious activities associated with taking away our liberties and overthrowing our system of government. I cannot think of any other reason as to why these activities are taking place today, here in the United States of America.

IS THE STORY ON 73,000 BLOGS BEING COVERED UP BY THE WHITE HOUSE?

That may not sound like much, just 73,000 blogs out of millions on the Internet. But, why has not the White House commented on the story? Why has it not been covered by the “main stream media?”

Just in case you, like millions of other Americans, have been denied the story, here’s the essence. Blogetery.com, which carried more than 73,000 blogs, was recently shut down. Nobody seems willing to say why or who is responsible. The loose knit story is that “law enforcement agencies” shut Blogetry.com down. Initial reports state that the sites were shut down because they contained copyrighted and intellectual material without the consent of the authors. 

What authors?  What content?  

Whatever happened, here are some facts: no civil or criminal court charges have been filed. No court hearing has taken place. No court order has been issued. This is akin to storm troopers ramming down your doors, accusing you of issuing statements against the regime, and throwing you in jail.

There now is the excuse being floated by left-wingers that the sites contained terrorist threats and bomb making instructions. Okay, why isn’t the White House trumpeting the fact that they caught these terrorist sites and shut them down? While I haven’t mentioned it because I have not been able to verify it, there are those who say that the shutdowns occurred because the bloggers were posting anti-Obama or anti-Administration messages.

That’s a serious very charge.

Stop and think about the implications. If Obama and his Czars can shut down 73,000 websites without even a mention in the mainstream media, why can’t they shut down 250,000 or even a million? Granted, if there were in fact 73,000 websites espousing terrorist activities, we would want them shut down. Without due process? No. Without fair hearings? No.

In the absence of comment from the White House, and given the fact that the mainstream media has not covered the story, what are we left to presume? That there’s a blackout on the story? If so, why?

Are you willing to give this story a pass? Or, do you want answers?

THE SHERROD AFFAIR: Obama’s Last Stand?

Once again the Obama Administration has shown its total callousness toward everyone and everything that exists beyond the fence line at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Now comes Shirley Sherrod, an employee of the U.S.D.A. whose remarks were taken out of context and blown up to be something that they were not. Totally without hearing all of the remarks, the White House and Sherrod’s supervisor suffered from a knee-jerk reaction, concluded that Sherrod was engaged in reverse racism and summarily fired her.

Now, after watching the full tape of the remarks and in the middle of a firestorm, the White House has taken a sudden reversal, begged for Sherrod to come back and issued an apology. They waited until the press and the media got a hold of the truth and aired it on national television to finally review the whole tape. And, they evidently want Sherrod to roll over, come back to work and play like nothing ever happened.

There’s the total lack of understanding on the illegal immigration issue, the Khalid Sheik Mohammed trial, the Gulf Oil Disaster, the Health Care debacle, the economy, unemployment, the issue of making the military buy their own health insurance… Really, when is enough enough? Is this finally the straw that will break the back?

Everyone knows what Obama is; when are we going to do something about it? He needs to be so isolated in his fancy White House after November that he can’t do a damned thing. He needs to be made politically impotent.

I never thought I would say this, but I am finally convinced that every seat up for election in November needs to be filled with a Republican, and then we must ride herd on the Republicans to make sure they step up to the plate.

I think enough IS enough.

SHARRON ANGLE DESERVES NATIONAL SUPPORT

Harry Reid has done a total disservice to this country by spearheading programs that are strictly socialistic and by supporting spending legislation that has led us to the brink of bankruptcy. He has shown his cheating, lying ways; remember the Ben Nelson deal during the health care debates?

Sharron Angle is tight-fisted with the tax payer’s money and has a strong record in the Nevada legislature for conservative ideals and for listening to her constituents. I no longer live in Nevada, but I believe it is important enough for Reid to be defeated that I am putting my money where my mouth is.

The Reid political machine that has been created over decades of power in Washington is being fed by far-left radical groups that want Reid to continue undermining the basic and fundamental pieces of our history and culture. Reid’s campaign chest is the largest of any Senator in the history of Nevada. Sharron is refreshingly new to the Washington political scene and needs our support. YESTERDAY, TYLER ROADS CAME HOME

Yesterday would have done anyone proud. In a small town in the Cascades of northern California, everyone dropped what they were doing, grabbed their American Flags and headed on down to Main Street. Yesterday was the day that Lance Corporal Tyler Roads, USMC, came home to Burney for the last time.

Roads was the second United States Marine from Burney to die in the Afghanistan war. Larry Snelling, Superintendent of the local school district said it all: “He was fulfilling a dream to serve his country and follow in his grandfather’s footsteps.” He was a Marine, he was an American.

As the motorcade bringing the body of American Marine Tyler Roads from the airport in Redding to Burney started down Main Street, an ominous silence fell over town… a silence that was punctuated only by the siren of the Highway Patrol vehicle leading the procession. Literally everyone in Burney and nearby Johnson Park was there, lining Main Street on both sides all of the way through town to the mortuary. Almost everyone carried an American flag; until this day, I never knew or suspected that the town of Burney had that many American flags in it.

As the motorcade turned off of Main Street and into the mortuary, one of the motorcycle honor guards yelled to the throng of bystanders, “My God, thank you. Thank all of you.”

To which an observer replied, “No… thank YOU.”

We all watched in reverent silence as the United States Marines carried the casket in to the funeral home. Yes, we were all saddened by the cause of this event; but, we were all proud to be Americans. This young man gave the ultimate sacrifice in the service of his country.

Those of us who have had the honor to serve our country know full well the sacrifice that this American hero made. We know the choices that he made in his life, particularly the one to serve. We know the commitment he made to his country and the risks that he agreed to assume.

As the doors to the funeral home closed behind the Marines who were carrying American Marine Tyler Roads home, I made a pledge to myself. I urge all of you to take a moment and to digest what I have said here. Again, this man was an American who willingly put himself in harm’s way in service of his country. I cannot think of a more patriotic gift that any man or woman can give.

I will be damned if I will allow anyone, including the President of the United States who has never served, to denigrate the history of this country and to trample upon all of the historic traditional values we stand for. I will not allow this President and his Czarist henchmen to besmirch the American way. I will not allow any Congressman or Senator to sell this country down the drain in order to gain personal favors or money. I will fight these things with every ounce of my breath and every moment of my life. I will overtly combat any activity by any one or any agency or organization that makes the life of Tyler Roads any less honorable. So help me God.

FOMENTING HATRED AND DISCONTENT IN AMERICA

And they’re doing it. At every turn of the hour or day, Obama and his fascist czars along with Pelosi, Reid and Frank, are out there actively and purposefully turning every segment of American society against each other.

Think about it. They now have whites vs. blacks totally stirred up again for the first time in decades. They’re favoring blacks and letting blacks commit crimes against whites without retribution. You have the leader of the Blank Panther Party running around advocating violence and mayhem against whites and intimidating them at the polls, and you have a justice department that drops its case against him.

They have Christians vs. Muslims, atheists vs. Christians, Jews vs. Muslims… they’ve really stirred up the religious community. NASA has been told that is primary mission is to be nicer to Muslims. Muslims are building a huge mosque just down the street from the World Trade Center and they’re making no apologies in the process.

Legal Americans vs. illegal Mexicans, and any state that stands with the legal Americans gets sued.

Unemployed vs. employed and vs. the government. They’ve given nothing but lip service to the plight of millions of Americans without jobs. Instead of creating jobs with the stimulus money they stole from us, they’re pissing away that money on such projects as forcing grocery stores to convert their inventories to more healthy foods, regardless of what consumers want.

They want Americans to report bloggers who blog against the government. They want oil workers to lose their jobs in the gulf, but refuse to allow more exploration on land. They turn states against the central government by refusing to provide disaster support until they’re actively threatened with being lynched; then, when they allow help in the Gulf they send out enforcement agents and regulators to hamper those who are trying to clean up the mess.

They turn citizens against law enforcement by insinuating that law enforcement is incapable of enforcing the law without being discriminatory because they are uneducated, trigger happy nitwits.

They deny Americans the right to speak out. They deny Americans the right to defend themselves. They turn Tea Partiers against union members, union members against gun owners, gun owners against the government, Americans against business, and they seek to shut down the media that reports these things.

This coming election is not about conservatism vs. liberalism, nor is it about Republicans vs. Democrats. It is about throwing the bums in Washington out, out, out because, in the final analysis, in the process of their fomentation of hatred on all fronts they have finally convinced us that we hate Washington and what it has become.

ON THE NOT-SO-FRIENDLY ROAD

Travelling right along in the Pacific Northwest, I landed at a LaQuinta Inn in Oregon. Turns out that some bright accounting type guy decided that the Inn could cut expenses if all of the lights, the TV and the air conditioning in the room automatically shut off when the guest leaves the room. So, the deal is that you have to stick your magnetic room-entry card into the wall to turn those things on and when you leave, of course, you take your key with you so that everything turns off a few minutes after you close the door.

To me, this smacks of the narrow toilet paper that Northern Tissue now puts out. They don’t care what the customer thinks, they just do it. It’s a cost-saving mode and screw the customer, right? Well, the customers raised hell because they would come back to their rooms expecting them to be at the temperature they wanted before going to bed and the good folks at LaQuinta started to provide extra keys so that you could leave one in the wall while you went to have pizza.

Equally dumb was the Subway in Oregon that doesn’t have a tip jar out. The reason was that the employees were constantly complaining about the split of the tips, so the management took away the tip jar and said that every employee was on his own. Now, there were two people involved in making my sandwich. Who do I tip? If I have to decide, it’ll be no one. They surely shot themselves in the foot over that move.

So did the guy at Pilot in Oregon. By law, they have to fill your tank; no self service allowed. Okay, he didn’t clean the windshield. Every other time I’ve been in Oregon, they cleaned my windshield, too. One even checked my oil; he got a tip. This guy quite plainly told me that the law says they have to pump gas, not clean windshields, and if I wanted my windshield cleaned I could get my butt out of the car and do it myself. Guess I won’t go there again.

Heard on the news that numnuts and his EPA are shutting down refineries in Texas. Nothing like putting another 10 or 20,000 employees out of work. Why? He’s probably ticked off about the court decision that says he can’t shut down off-shore production “pending a safety review.” If you shut down the refineries, what are they going to do with the crude, anyway? What an ass! I changed radio stations, I was so angry.

Then, he gave a speech on what he’s going to do about the immigration problem. That was another peachy-keen bit of Presidential wisdom; make a lot of thunder, fart in the wind and then pronounce that everything is going to be better as soon as Jan Brewer kisses his ring and worships the hallowed ground that the walks on.

How about the Office Depot place where the gal goes through the printing order drill… how many copies, color of paper, double-side or single sided… you know the myriad of questions. Followed by, “When do you need this? Saturday? There’s no way we can have it ready by Saturday at noon. WHY KAGAN MUST BE DEFEATED

IT'S TIME FOR OUR CHANGE, NOT OBAMA'S

I think it goes back to the beginning of Oabama’s bid for the ascendency to the throne of power in the United States of America. I don’t mean that statement in a facetious way; I think that, in Obama’s mind, the Presidency is the throne of power in the free world. In other words, he saw the power of the Presidency as being able to trump the power of Congress and the power of the people, and he saw himself as being not only the guy who could make that happen, but also as being the guy who should make that happen.

Obama envisioned the Presidential throne as being a stepping stone to more power in the “New World Order.” And with these powers he could impose a new leadership on the world that would bring the rich in line with the poor through centralizing the total power of government for all nations in the hands of a chosen and anointed few.

On the other hand, there is an oligarchy of power behind the scenes that has been looking for a viable method to overthrow the government of the United States, a vital step toward the creation of that "New World Order." And along came Obama. They glommed on to “his royal highness, the Messiah,” narcissism and all, as being the vehicle to meet their needs.  


Now, they have merged their agendas, each thinking that they have the other party under control.  Unfortunately for their planning,  the citizenry is not playing along in its “dumbed down” state as planned. The spoilers, Fox News and the Tea Party, have raised so much commotion that the plans have not gone forward. External events have intervened. And, people are now getting their eyes open to the background, or lack of it, of Barrack Hussein Obama.  And the love fest that they had for each other is collapsing under the weight of of their own and selfish agendas. 

The collusion of the press and media in this process cannot be overlooked, with the exception of Fox, the right-wing bloggers and the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. Every effort has been made to make the Obama ascendancy successful, to the point that the press, the media, the White House, some Members of Congress and the left-wing liberals have been patently asinine in their attacks on any detractors.

The result of all of this scenario, and it is a Shakespearean play after all, is that the country has acquired a totally negative and nasty mood. We don’t like Obama. He doesn’t like us. We don’t like Pelosi, she doesn’t like us. On and on;  nobody likes anybody and we have a national epidemic of outright hate and distrust.

Obama’s dreams are lost. Worse yet, our vision for the future of our country is lost because our damned government has misspent our money and sent us down the road toward oblivion.

Now what?

We need change. Not Obama’s change, but OUR change. We need to take charge of our own futures. We need to minimize the government influence on our lives. We need to stand up to the responsibilities of being Americans. We need to have the guts, the courage and the fortitude to take our country back from the Obama’s, Pelosi’s, Reids and Franks of the world. We need to chase this damned negativity out of our lives and be positive in the assertion of our rights and powers of American citizenry.

We cannot wait until tomorrow to get started. We must start today.

But, Obama is left, and he's the President.  

I don't have any respect for the President, either.  But, McChrystal had two choices: resign or keep his mouth shut.  If your heart is no longer in the job because your boss is a total asshole, you should quit.  He took a cheap shot and he should've been fired for it... And I would not have given him the opportunity to come to the White House and grovel, either.   

FINALLY: MORE SHORT SHOTS

Would you believe that the last full-blown “Short Shots” was written in November? Well, there’s been such a plethora of bad news floating out of Foggy Bottom that I’ve not been able to put together a “Short Shots” posting.

What gets me is that here we are, two months after the oil rig explosion in the Gulf, and it seems like we’re still fumbling around in the dark trying to find the fuse box. Several European nations with expertise in these things offered to help from the get go and our illustrious President turned his back on them. Even now, with some of those offers being renewed, he’s not inclined to take anyone up on their offers of help. So, he’s bought himself into this debacle, taken full ownership of it, and once again has proven that even with his Harvard shingle, he’s as dumb as a post.

Just in case you were not aware of it, Joe Biden says that the stimulus plans have worked absolutely perfectly. Can you image what a mess we’d be in if those prodigies hadn’t spent $2 trillion of our money? $2 trillion!!! They sure could be having a lot of folks over for beer at the White House if they hadn’t pissed that money away.

The Indians have figured out a way to solve the immigration problem. They want to send all of us white folks back to Europe.

Yes, November was seven months ago. During that time, the unemployment situation in this country hasn’t improved one bit. I know people who have been out of work for two or more years. When a job opening is announced, hundreds of people show up to apply for that one job. And, there’s a twit in Washington who suggests that the only reason people are still unemployed is that they have not been out looking. But, no matter... Joe says the stimulus plans worked.

The Muslims want to build a huge new mosque on ground near the World Trade Center. That’ll be a handy place for New Yorkers to buy sheets.

With all of the impetus to vote against incumbents, incumbents are resorting to trickery when listing their names on ballots and voting material; they don’t list themselves as being incumbents. Obviously, they are ashamed of the jobs they are doing, as they should be. Yet, by this method they are continuing to lie and mislead their constituents and otherwise are treating them like dummies. Enough is enough; they need to learn how to make an honest living, like the rest of us.

BP and the government are now quick to say that they’ll use the $20 billion fund to promptly pay legitimate claims. Having watched such action before, the word “legitimate” will probably be determined on a case-by-case basis in a trial by Court. This whole thing makes me as sick as if I was standing there on a Louisiana shore, smelling it.

Nothing like Eric Holder taking Arizona to Court over the illegal immigration issue. That surely sends a strong message to America about what pile of dung Obama stands in.

Have you noticed how the Republican National Committee has stepped to the plate and taken some strong leadership positions on important issues? Neither have I.

PELOSI RUBS OUR FACES IN IT

Nancy Pelosi’s plush, extravagant new office on Market Street in San Francisco costs almost as much as two times the next costliest office in the House, almost $19,000 per month. The cost is funded by tax payers, and at a time when the nation’s unemployment hovers at 10% and our national debt is going into a deep, deep abyss.

Pelosi moved last fall from the federal building at 450 Golden Gate Avenue to the newer 18-story federal building at 90 Seventh Street. She had been paying about $4,300 a month for her old office. Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill said, “The new building is more centrally located, right off of Market Street, which allows for easier access for constituents via public transportation.”

"As speaker, the security needs are different," he said. "The new San Francisco Federal Building offers enhanced security features, which were a major factor in the decision to move offices."

There has been no confirmation of reports that the office includes a gold-plated marble commode and bidet.

Don’t you just love a taxpayer-funded narcissist like Nancy?

PROUDLY DISPLAY YOUR PATRIOTISM EVERY HOUR OF EVERY DAY

The most often repeated question I hear is, “What can I do to help take our country back? What can I do to make a difference?”

The answer is simple. Carry your love for your country in your heart and mind every minute of every day. Don’t be afraid to say, “I am an American.” Take a moment every day to honor our flag and those who came down this hard and difficult path to freedom before us. Know that you are not alone.

These need not be the dark days when those who would destroy our Constitution and our way of life seek to take charge of our destiny; instead, these can be the bright days when we come to the realization that we can take our country back and the understanding that the price we must pay for freedom is, as the saying goes, eternal vigilance.

There is strength in numbers. The simple act of wearing our colors in public will not only give us comfort in our patriotism but will identify us to others who share our love of country. By colors, I mean something as simple as an American flag as a lapel button or a red, white and blue cap. Yes, some idiot will give you a negative comment, but the best response is a simple, “Yes, I am an American. Do I assume that you are not?”

I have found wide acceptance in my patriotism. There have been countless people who have said to me that they didn’t know what they could do to help us to get our country back. Everyone’s time is limited, but wearing your patriotism and your beliefs requires no time and it makes the message clear. Again I say, we do not need to bow our heads in shame because we are Americans.

When those who wish to overthrow our government see enough patriots wearing their patriotism on their shirts, blouses and caps, they will get our message. And, by standing together and wearing the colors, we identify ourselves as being one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

What a great beginning in the renewal of our nation and the understanding of who we are, where we came from and where we are going. Together, we can do this. We can, we must, and we will.

THE REAL STATE OF THE UNION – JUNE 2010

Imagine if you will, the President of the United States stepping to the podium and addressing the nation to convey, without spin or lies, the realistic State of the Union. Can you imagine the following?

Our economy is in a shambles. The government has stepped in to take charge of some segments of the business sector in order to prevent disastrous potential results, and we have infused well over a trillion dollars of your tax money into the system and things are not working the way they should.  But, don't get excited: we have succeeded in resolving all of our nation's problems.  

Unemployment is at 9.7%, but that figure doesn’t mean spit. Once you take out the temporary employment for census workers and you add back in those whose unemployment benefits have been exhausted or those who have given up, it’s closer to 18%. And, although we have spent or obligated over $1 trillion, things are not going to get better. In fact, 20% or more of our eligible citizens may be unemployed at any given time. But, don't get excited: we have succeeded in resolving all of our nation's problems.  

We can’t solve the illegal immigration problem because we have political agendas we must meet, as did the other party. We anticipate paying out around $500 million next year in social security benefits for some of those folks and a few billion bucks for social services, education, and jail costs, but get used to it. And, we don’t give a damn what Arizona thinks; they have no state rights because we are in charge. But, don't get excited: we have succeeded in resolving all of our nation's problems.  

Yes, we’re aware that the new Federal Health Care Plan will cost $1 trillion more than we said it would, but it’s been passed and there is nothing you can do about it. In fact, added to those costs are the rising costs of malpractice insurance and tort reform, prescription drugs, hospital stays and supplemental insurance and that’s just the way it is. Don't get excited: we have succeeded in resolving all of our nation's problems.  

As for the oil spill in the Gulf, stuff happens. BP ARCO gave us a lot of money for our campaign directly and through various PAC’s and we’re cutting them some slack as far as capping the well goes. In terms of the environmental damage, everyone knows that Bobby Jindal is going to run for President the next election, so I don’t owe Louisiana spit. If their beaches get tarred, we’ll get around to dealing with that problem soon. Real soon. But, don't get excited: we have succeeded in resolving all of our nation's problems.  

So, there’s some big flap about the financial goings on with our Cap & Trade program? It’s only a matter of days before FOX NEWS, Beck, Hannity, O’Reilly and that associated gang of terrorists are sucking sand with the rest of the world’s terrorists in Gitmo. Speaking of terrorists, Khalid Sheik Mohamed will be tried in New York City unless New York City agrees, without question, that an Islamic Temple can be built just down the street from the old World Trade Center site. New York City can take its choice. But, don't get excited: we have succeeded in resolving all of our nation's problems.  

This entire flap about corruption in the White House is detracting from my agendas. We are in charge here. We control the House, the Senate and the White House. We will soon control the Supreme Court. Sestak, Romanoff, the Czars… none of that matters any more. Like I said, we are in charge here. If you have a problem with that fact, it’s your problem and not ours. Don't get excited: we have succeeded in resolving all of our nation's problems.  

Yes, we have committed the United States to a new world government. We will soon transform our nation into a new era of change and progress. Enjoy your rights and liberties while you can and remember... all things in life are temporary. But, don't get excited: we have succeeded in resolving all of our nation's problems.

These people have their audacity. They lied to us about the cost. They lied to us about the benefits. They lied to us about abortion funding. And then, they stood there in the face of 70% of Americans who did not want the Health Care Bill and they shoved it down our throats straight down the Democratic Party line. Now, they brag about rubbing our faces into their corrupt, non-responsive and belligerent ways.

Despite the fact that it was Americans… not Republicans alone, but Independents, Republicans and Democrats alike who were against their dictatorial power mongering, they now blame solely the Republicans for being against them.

Let me say that I do agree with Ms. Pelosi when she says that “no Democrat in the House should lose his or her seat for doing the right thing.” But, they didn’t. They bought each other off with our money. They plunged us into massive debt and continue to do so. They twisted arms, held meetings behind closed doors, and they collectively sold America’s future down the damned drain. The right thing? Far from it.

Unemployment is at 10% and they freely admit it will not get lower. Yet, in another outright and inflammatory lie, Ms. Pelosi claims they created 3.5 million jobs and gave 95% of Americans a tax cut? Do they think we all smoke the same stuff they do? Where are the damned jobs and where are the damned tax cuts. Where?

Barney Frank insults me by claiming the American Tea Parties are a wing of the Republican Party? This is the guy who sits on the oversight committee that was in charge of the watch when the economy tanked and Fannie and Freddie almost folded.

Where these two birds get their gall to turn to members of the American Republic and ask them to fund their lying, cheating, corrupt, belligerent and unresponsive ways is beyond me. That’s MY contribution.

CONGRESS STILL DOESN’T GET OUR MESSAGE!

Recent weeks have clearly demonstrated to anyone of even marginal intelligence that the voters are less-than-enchanted with the jobs being done by members of Congress and the White House. Not only are job approval ratings in the gutter, but Congressional seats have been turning over almost faster than the turnstile can spin, and we haven’t even reached the November elections yet.

Here comes the news that the budget figures provided to us by the Congressional Budget Office on the eve of the crammed-down health care plan votes were as phony as a three dollar bill. Here comes the news that Congress has just spent even more hundreds of billions of dollars without a source of funding, meaning that you and I pay for it. Here’s a Representative who alleges criminal wrongdoing by the White House regarding a primary Senatorial election and a White House that stonewalls for months until its back is to the wall. We have an immigration policy that needs to be addressed but that is being ignored and we have an environmental crisis in the Gulf that is the worst such disaster in world history and which drew no attention from Washington until the public started calling for hangings. We have more sex scandals, more money going south, more lies being told… and a Capitol full of smiling faces and back-slapping goombahs heading off for the Memorial Day weekend as if it was just another grand old day of screw the public, damn the torpedoes and full-steam ahead!

Such total arrogance.

Short, not so sweet, but to the point: All of these bastards have to go, and the sooner the better.

I’m sorry for the short post, but if I say any more, I’ll start cussing.

OBAMA BUNGLES GULF OIL SPILL: Deliberate?

I’ve criticized only BP/ARCO so far because they are a known polluter of the environment and their safety record is abominable. But, the time has come to call a spade a spade: the Administration has totally screwed-up its response to this international calamity. And yes, it IS an international disaster; Mexico will be affected, Cuba may be affected, Belize and Honduras may be affected. We have yet to determine what the affect on weather will be, but it’s not likely to be good.

The Administration has been spinning that it is the responsibility of the oil company to deal with the situation. “The oil company is the expert,” they have insisted. Well, you might lend that thought some credibility with respect to the leaking wellhead itself; nevertheless, we are two months down the road on that issue alone and BP/ARCO is now saying they may not be able to reduce the problem until August. In the interim, they lied about the volume of oil leaking and they lied about what little they have been able to siphon to a tanker on the surface.

Just speaking about the theory that BP/ARCO should be the one in charge of the wellhead, they have stonewalled and mishandled the matter from the very beginning, when they allegedly told everyone just after the rig exploded that they had everything under control.  The fact that the federal government sat on its tush and waited for BP/ARCO is reminiscent of how they handled the crumbling financial crisis and how they are handling the jobs crisis. They either don’t know what they are doing, or it’s all deliberate.

Let’s get to the environmental impact. Once again, the feds have said that the oil company has the responsibility to deal with it. Tell that to the Louisiana fishermen. Tell it to the people who live along the coast and have their boats in the water. Tell that to the fish and other wildlife. If BP/ARCO and all of its resources can’t stop the damned leak, how can they handle the environmental disaster in addition?

The government has every right and every authority to take immediate steps to mitigate the environmental impact. It should be there in full response, proactively beginning cleanup of the beaches and doing whatever it can to contain the damage. Hurricane season starts in a few days; what will happen if another Katrina comes rumbling through the Gulf? Louisiana’s Republican Governor Bobby Jindal wants to at least construct temporary additional barriers to augment the barrier reefs; the Corps of Engineers refuses to grant the permits.

Allegations abound that Obama accepted large political donations to his election campaign from BP/ARCO; that the EPA has been too close to the oil company, and that Obama is exercising a political trump card against the Republican Governor. If any one of those scenarios is correct, Obama is guilty of deliberately sabotaging the process.

At the very least, the administration has again proven itself to be incompetent. The oil disaster continues to grow and the economic and jobs disasters continue to grow. Where’s Obama? He’s having a nice little closed-door chit chat with the Republicans about Cap &Trade and the Immigration problem.

What a raft of bullshit.

P.S. (As if we needed one...) Federal auditors are saying this morning that government officials responsible for monitoring oil operations could have spotted troubling indications in advance of the disaster, had they not been busy viewing pornography on their computers.  Shades of the SEC! 

STATUS REPORT – NEW HEALTH CARE PLAN

I would not wish this story on anyone, including my ex-wife. It needs to be told because it portends the future for all of us.

This is the story, in a nutshell. It began with something that looked like insect bites, except that the bites expanded into splotches of red, itchy, dry skin. She went to the doctor, who ordered blood tests and scheduled another appointment; she was diagnosed with allergies, given Benadryl and sent home. The splotches continued to grow, itch and now burn. She was beginning to have difficulty sleeping at night. She went back to the doctor, who ordered more tests and had her come back, when she was referred to a dermatologist.

On the first visit, the dermatologist ordered blood tests and had her come back, whereupon the derm told her she had eczema and put her on medications; the meds caused nausea and did nothing for the burning, itching red splotches that were now all over her body. There were several visits to the derm, changing and adjusting medications.

Finally, almost three months down the road from the initial onset, she was in so much pain and lack of sleep that she tried to see a different dermatologist who was “too busy to see her for two months.” So, she went to a different general practitioner who ordered blood tests and had her come back. Upon return, the practitioner referred her to the new dermatologist and she had an appointment the very next day. The new dermatologist took one look at her and said, “Lady, you have the worst and most advanced case of psoriasis I have ever seen.”

So, what is to be learned from this story?

Doctors who accept Medicare patients get paid less money per patient visit, so they limit the time they spend with each such patient and have them make repeated, and usually unnecessary, office visits so they can bill more. They also order lab work, often from firms they own or have a cooperative interest in with other doctors.

With the declining Medicare payments to doctors, good doctors are refusing to accept Medicare patients, opting for more lucrative health insurance payments or cash. Some doctors will accept some Medicare patients, but only as a small portion of their patient load. Astute patients seek good doctors and gravitate to those who are no longer treating Medicare patients so they can more easily get an appointment.

In turn, less qualified providers lose patients who have the health insurance or cash, so they end up being the providers who predominantly see and treat Medicare or Medicaid patients. You and I as taxpayers, however, are getting soaked the same amount for that patient’s care regardless of whether they see a good doctor or a bad doctor. Finally, the patient pays the ultimate penalty of treatments being delayed while the doctors go through the multiple visit routine, and they are often mistreated or misdiagnosed.

This is what our new Health Care plan has brought upon us so far, and we’re just getting started:

• Worse care

• No change in malpractice

• Increased costs

There needs to be continued investigative reporting on the progress of the new healthcare plan as it progresses to be implemented. So far, it’s doing everything its opponents said it would.

NATIONAL HYPOCRITICAL MEAT HEADS SPEAK OUT

Arizona has been catching a lot of flack from two key Obama administration officials for its new immigration law.  Eric Holder, illustrious Attorney General of the United States has gone so far as to suggest he may be suing the state on behalf of the federal government because thenew law is "unconstitutional."  Janet Napolitano, former Arizona Governor and now Secretary for Homeland Security and Chief Official in Charge of Gaffes, has chastised the new law from the get go.  Both Holder and Napolitano, under questioning, have admitted that they have not yet read the new law.  Napolitano has the admitted gall to say, when responding to that question and admitting that she had not read it, that she would not have signed it as Arizona's Governor. 

So, those two meat heads are telling us, the Americans who cannot be trusted, who are terrorists and who don't know anything about our government, that they can be cavalier with their responsibilities to us... they can make decisions and put down others without knowing what they are talking about?  Like a Congress that passes a 2,700 page Health Care Bill without reading it, they have the audacity to stand before us and denigrate something they have not read, that they haven't even been briefed on?  

My fellow Americans, don't you see why we have to totally clean house in Washington?  Or, do you like having smoke blown up your asses? 

We can do this.  Just keep standing together, shoulder to shoulder and arm to arm like we have been lately, and we can rid ourselves of the scourge we have allowed to take charge of our country.  We can, we must and we will.

JUST SAY "NO" TO ANY POLITICAL PARTY DONATIONS

I've been getting many letters from the Republicans asking for my opinions and asking for donations.  I'm sure the Democrats are getting the same letters. 


Regardless of political inclinations, we do agree that we are beyond being upset with our politicians in Washington and the cavalier lack of responsibilities to us.  This goes back for decades.  So, why do we contribute to political parties to enable them to keep the same old cronies in power?  Let's show some common sense and keep our money in our own hands so that we can support candidates who will be more responsive to our needs and wishes?  This is a letter I just sent off:

You folks at the RNC still do not have the message. We lifelong Republicans are no longer happy with the party.

There is a major, major problem in Washington: no one there gives a damn what we Americans think or want. That is true for both parties. When the GOP is in, they ignore us and mismanage our country. When the donkeys are in, they do the same.

Here we are, just five months from mid-terms and the RNC has done nothing to assure me that the party has received the message. I hear a lot of rhetoric, but see no action. As far as I am concerned, the GOP had plenty of opportunity to show me their stuff when they were in charge of the White House and Congress and all it showed me was bad government. It certainly did not fix the soaring costs of health care, and I am now saddled with those soaring costs and more government control of my life because you did not do your job.

This country is going over the cliff because of corruption in Washington, total lack of ethics, and a failure of our representatives in Congress and the White House to live up to the responsibilities we entrusted them with. The GOP is just as much at fault as anyone else.

So, here I am, knowing that the problems in Washington have evolved into a culture. The only way to break up the culture is to get rid of those who created it and live in it. With rare exception, I recommend voting against all incumbents regardless of political affiliation. Maybe then, you all will get the message.

As for contributions to the party, no way. The way Michael Steele is spending it, the way it was spent at the L.A. night club… why should you even have the gall to ask me to contribute?

Show me some leadership. Make a promise to me as to how you will govern if you ever get another chance. Put it in writing. Live up to your word. Until then, my money goes to the Tea Party who, although they are not fielding candidates, manages to get things done for the good of the country.

Maybe the GOP should take a clue from them?
