ALARM: YOU WILL WANT TO READ THIS!

Neither the IRS or ObamaCare are legally entitled to have anything to do with your political beliefs. LIBERTY UNION is reporting that a California couple received an ObamaCare registration form in the mail clearly pre-marked that the registrants were Democrats. 

This all stems from the 1993 National Voter Registration Act which requires that you be allowed to register to vote through means other than going to to your local registrar of voters.  ObamaCare designed things so that those signing up could also register to vote.  

That's all good and dandy, but there are two glaring violations of the Constitution here: (1) Where does the State of California, (Covered California), get the right to predetermine what political party you belong to, and (2) the fact that the website has this information, whether it be legitimate or illegitimate, is a violation because no agency of the government has any business knowing what your political affiliation is except the voter's registration office. As far as I know, they don't even have the right to record whether or not you are registered with ANY political party, only to provide you with the opportunity to register. 

What this means to me is that, when you go to the doctor or the hospital under ObamaCare for treatment, and they see that you are NOT a member of their favorite political party, you're probably going to receive a lobotomy.  Moreover, if you have a tax dispute or problems with your enrollment and this regime sees that you are not registered as a Democrat, you're a loser from the "git go."  

This is blatant, in-your-face oppression.  It is fascist.  It is Un-American.  It is symbolic of the extent to which this socialist-fascist regime has worked its tentacles of evil into the far inner reaches of our freedoms and liberties.  

It may well be that we are too late to do anything to stop the overthrow of our government.  But, we sure as hell should not be taking this lying down.  If anything, it suggests that we should be arming ourselves with weapons and ammunition.

CALLING A SPADE A SPADE

The House of Representatives displays indignation because the I.R.S. has been refusing for over a year to comply with a subpoena for emails and other documents, particularly from Lois Lerner.  Well, let me ask a question: just how successful has the House been in getting information about Fast & Furious?  Benghazi?  I can add a few more, but how much more evidence does the House need to realize that this President and his Administration are only going to respond with an "up yours?"  

Get a grip, Boehner, Issa, Gowdy etc.  Reality is slapping you in the face: It doesn't matter what the law is and it doesn't matter what the Constitution prescribes, you're not going to get spit.  If you really, truly want to get anywhere on your quests, you have no choice but to file Articles of Impeachment.  No other course of action is going to produce results because you're not dealing with an American President; you're dealing with a socialist dictator.  

Period, as Obama says. 

Unless you understand the facts and act accordingly, I predict that on the day Obama leaves office you're still going to be huffing and puffing and trying to blow the White House down. Now, are you Members of Congress really and truly patriotic Americans, or not?

BIG BANG DISCOVERY

A recent and new scientific finding seems to confirm the "big bang theory" of the universe.  The discovery of traces of gravity waves confirms scientific concepts in the fields of cosmology, general relativity, and particle physics and has significant implications for the Judeo-Christian worldview, offering strong support for Biblical beliefs, according to a CNN story.  

Atheists and agnostic scientists have long insisted that the big bang did not necessarily happen and that the universe was in a solid state of flux, having always existed.  This new evidence tends to prove that the universe did not exist before the "big bang."  Therefore, some outside agent must have created it.  

Now, I suppose someone is going to say "just because some outside agent created it" doesn't mean it was God.  Granted, the Devil could have done it and I sometimes wonder if that is not the case.  Personally, I choose to believe it was God, which begs some questions:

• Why did God create the universe? 
• Just how many of these universes did God create?  
• Could more than one universe exist in the same space?  
• Is the universe predominantly Republican, Democrat or Libertarian?  
• How many sons does God have and does He have any daughters?  
• Is God married? 
• Does God watch CNN or FOX?  
• Is God a physical being or is He 100% spiritual?  
• If God is so benevolent, why did He give us Obama?  
• What does God say when you or I would say, "God damn?"  
• Just where IS God?  Does He have an address?
• Would God rather ride on a camel or in a Land Rover? 
• What temperature does God set His thermostat to?  
• Who created God?  

Oh boy, here comes another sleepless night.

AMERICANS DESPERATE FOR REAL NEWS

Believe it or not, I can still remember the day when you could turn on the news and get 30 minutes of real, factual news; news programs on television were 30 minutes of world, national, state and local news and you could depend on honest reporting.  Today, you damned near have to be listening to a foreign broadcast network in order to get the true news about what is going on.  

The government today is so concerned about controlling what we see and hear that they are openly oppressing legitimate reporting.  When you do go to the national news, you get three or four minutes of news followed by 50 minutes of talk and opinion.  Even then, we cannot trust the accuracy or completeness and objectivity of the brief news being reported.  

We're being starved and deprived.   It's time for the press and media in this country to get back to their real jobs.  Otherwise, what do we need them for?

MAJOR NATIVE AMERICAN SOVEREIGNTY CASE SITS IN SUPREME COURT

According to Wikipedia, Tribal sovereignty in the United States is the inherent authority of indigenous tribes to govern themselves within the borders of the United States of America. The federal government recognizes tribal nations as "domestic dependent nations" and has established a number of laws attempting to clarify the relationship between the federal, state, and tribal governments. The Constitution and later federal laws grant local sovereignty to tribal nations, but do not grant full sovereignty equivalent to that of foreign nations, hence the term "domestic dependent nations."  Tribes have had sovereignty over their affairs, courts, laws and lands for decades.  Sovereignty means that like a state, they cannot be sued.  

That principle of American Law has been in force for over a century and has withstood countless challenges before the Supreme Court.  But, it seems that when greed and prejudice enter the equation there is always someone around willing to try and change things to their own benefit.  

The Supreme Court heard arguments in December and will soon issue a decision on the case of Michigan vs. Bay Mills Indian Community that may well change the status of Native American Sovereignty for the future.  The outcome will determine whether the state of Michigan can sue the Bay Mills Indian Community for operating an off-reservation casino on land that has not been placed in trust or restricted status.  The tribe contends that it purchased the land with proceeds with money it received under the Michigan Indian Land Claims Act of 1997 and that the land is therefore protected under rules of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act.  Local citizens contend the casino operation will infringe on the characters of their community.   

The Court may narrowly define whatever decision it reaches so that it realistically applies only to the case at hand, such as ruling that the use of the money from the source it came from does not automatically put the land in question under "trust status."  Or, it could issue a broader ruling which could open the door to a flood of other litigation against tribes and largely destroy their sovereign immunity.   

It is my opinion that Native American tribes have had more than their share of broken treaties and promises from the United States government and its people.  The Supreme Court should rule narrowly and solely with respect to the lawsuit and leave the broader question of sovereignty for another day.  To do otherwise would place our nation in the position of arbitrarily changing the laws of the land based upon some whim of the moment.

ISRAEL PREPARES TO STRIKE IRAN

NEWSMAX is reporting that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon have ordered the military to prepare for a possible strike on Iran's nuclear facilities.  Three Knesset members who were present at Knesset joint committee hearings on Israel Defense Forces plans said that at least 10 billion shekels ($2.89 billion) of the defense budget would be allocated this year for preparations for the strike on Iran.  

Of course, Obama has been threatening Netanyahu on a regular basis, claiming Israel is making enemies and asking for trouble.  To me, it appears obvious that Obama doesn't want any of his Muslim friends, radical as they may be, to face any consequences for their actions.  

There has been saber rattling going on the the Middle East for centuries, but events of recent months seem to indicate that a conflagration could be imminent.  World War III could be just around the corner and Obama will undoubtedly be on the golf course.

JIMMY CARTER IS CORRECT?

I don't disagree with everybody, or agree with everybody, all of the time.  I don't subscribe to a strict party line and reserve the right to cross "to the other side" on any important issue of the day.  Anyone who has followed my blog posts knows that I have no particular affection for President Jimmy Carter.  So, it's probably a surprise to many that I'm going to come out now strongly in favor of his position on some things. 

Yesterday, President Carter came out and said the country’s use of drones has been “abused” and that he communicates by mail with foreign leaders for fear his electronic correspondences are being watched.  Wow.  “I have felt that my own communications are probably monitored,” he told NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “And when I want to communicate with a foreign leader privately, I type or write the letter myself, put it in the post office and mail it, because I believe if I send an email, it will be monitored,” not that the U.S. Post Office would shuttle his letters off to NSA or some other agency to steam open and review before delivering.  

I think it s a magnanimous statement for a former President to make: he has concerns about the privacy of his communications in this country.  

This is supposed to be America, for Christ's sake.

LAWLESS ADMINISTRATION FLIPS OFF CRUZ

The House of Representatives has asked Attorney General Eric Holder to appoint a Special Prosecutor to investigate the abuses of the I.R.S.  Holder has responded by... refusing.  Cruz had written Holder January 22nd that it had been eight months "since both you and President Obama professed outrage at the IRS's wrongful conduct," and yet no legal action had been taken, according to NEWSMAX.

The Department of Justice curtly asserted "such an appointment is not warranted" because the case doesn't present a conflict of interest, adding that "career prosecutors and law-enforcement professionals" were conducting the probe.   "The Department remains committed to integrity and fairness in all of its law-enforcement efforts, without regard to politics," the letter stated.

Doesn't that smack of Obama's and Holder's refusals to allow an investigation into Fast & Furious, even with a Contempt of Congress citation leveled against them?  

This administration is lawless, reckless and anti-American.  Any other President, regardless of political affiliation, would have been impeached at least two years ago.  As an American citizen, doesn't that upset you, or are you content to stand idly by and watch our democracy go down the drain?

SHAMEFUL

Back during the Civil War my great grandfather, who was a Captain in the Union Army, got shot in the lower jaw by a musket ball.  He lost his ability to chew and spent the rest of his life eating liquified food.  That was followed by more than two decades of trying to get disability pay from the Army.  

I mention this because, I wonder how many veterans who filed for disability benefits or medical care during that time period are still awaiting a determination from the V.A.  I just attended a very interesting field visit by Doug LaMalfa, Congressman in northern California, which was geared toward dealing with veteran's issues.  All ages of vet were represented, the oldest being a survivor from Pearl Harbor and the youngest having recently returned from Afghanistan.  

During the almost two-hour conference, I did not hear one person talk about what a great job the Veterans Administration is doing.  But, I did hear consistent frustration from dozens of people about "lost" files, obstinate denials of service and horrible delays in the bureaucratic jungle.  And there were a few tales of bungled medical care as well, although the thrust of frustration came from the inability to obtain treatment in the first place. 

LaMalfa asked why the government didn't issue vets getting an honorable DD214 discharge a medical card where they could get medical care from their local physicians.  The answer, of course, is because they've been doing things THIS way since the Civil War. 

These people put their lives on the line for our country, often at great sacrifice to their own goals and ambitions.  It's shameful how we allow the V.A. to now turn its back on these people when they need help the most.  And it's symptomatic of the way Americans now view their country in so many important issues of the day: if it doesn't directly affect them, who gives a damn?

OBAMA'S DISMAL HANDLING OF UKRAINE

I've been challenged by a few radical left-wing Obama-types in the last few days about Obama's handling of the Ukraine.   "Just what would you have done?" they snarl.  

Number one, I do not believe in entering any confrontation or competition from a position of weakness.  The last thing you want a prospective employer to learn during an interview is that if you don't get this job, you're going to have to file bankruptcy and move in with your mother-in-law; you come on like you're God's gift to the creation of the business.  You might even park in the General Manager's parking spot, unless some other adventuresome lad has beaten you to the punch.  

So, I would have started off with an emergency all-night session of the National Security Council and would have come out of that straight into a nationwide address.  I would have ordered some naval vessels to run toward Russia and I would have beefed up my presence at German air bases... and I wouldn't have hidden what I was doing, either.  I would then have scheduled time for a speech at the United Nations and I would have arranged for a loud squeal of displeasure from NATO.   And I would have flown Kerry into Czechoslovakia and Poland to start talking about setting them up with missile defense systems and I would have made that trip public as well.  

During this period, I would refuse any telephone calls from Putin.  Only after the above steps were taken would I call Putin and tell him in plain English, in a short to-the-point up-handed tone that he needed to back his troops away from Crimea.  You will recall that they made a somewhat timid entry; they wanted to be prepared in the unlikely possibility that Obama might bark and they would have to withdraw. 

But, to state right from the get go that we had no military intentions, and then to go play a round of golf while the invasion gained steam... to have a 90-minute "chat" by phone... those were pathetic responses from a pathetic President.

INCOME EQUALITY, MY BUNS

Contrary to what our Declaration on Independence says, not all men are created equal: some have high I.Q.'s, some have low I.Q.'s; some are muscular, some are not; some are artists, others are politicians.  To say that we are all created equally and that we are entitled to make the same income is pure, unadulterated horse manure.  

We have different levels of achievement: a brain surgeon whose techniques are unsurpassed and whose record of success is unblemished, and you have a general practitioner who barely made it through med school and whose chief claim to fame is that he has managed to practice medicine for twelve years without having his license revoked.  To suggest they should both be paid the same is beyond ludicrous.  

Requiring income equality stifles personal and economic incentive and growth.  Why should I bust my buns for $15 an hour when the fathead next to me, doing the same job, slacks off and makes the same?  Now then, if you have two people doing exactly same job and producing exactly the same amount of goods or services in exactly the same amount of time, then they should be paid equally.  

People need to be paid on the basis of their individual contribution to society.  If I wanted to live in a Communist or fascist society, I either would have been born there or would have moved there.  On the other hand, Barack, if you want to move me into the White House and pay me what you are getting paid to do nothing, I might be persuaded to change my mind.

Just GET OUT!  That's the message millions of Americans want to deliver to both Republicans and Democrats in November; they are beyond sick and fed up with government, government and more government every single time they turn around.  

I've had a lot of emails from fans of BURNEY MOUNTAIN HERMIT lately asking me why I tout the Tea Parties.  Here's why:

Americans everywhere are complaining about the sheer size of government, the debt, taxes, national security, immigration and ObamaCare.  When you get your head out of the sand and look around for someone who is willing to tackle those issues on behalf of the American people, the only answer you can come up with is, "The Tea Parties." 

The Tea Parties raised hell in 2010 because they tackled these issues.  They actually arose out of a call by upset taxpayers to hold another tea party in Boston through sending off tea bags to members of Congress.  Congress members didn't want to deal with the tons of tea bangs they received, so they had the Post Office dispose of them so they didn't have to deal with it.  In all likelihood, the tea bags ended up being used to cut the drugs members of Congress ingest on a daily basis. 

All facetious sarcasm aside, if you agree with me that our government needs to be cut back and reined in, then you have to agree that we need a change of personnel at the helm in order to get it done.  And that is why I support the tea parties, because they think the same way I do and they have the ability to make those changes happen.  They're apolitical; you can be a Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Independent or agnostic and still belong to your favorite tea party.  I urge you to join one today.

MCCONNELL DOESN'T GET IT

SPECIAL REPORT

Evidently, Senator Mitch McConnell thinks the 2010 Republican gains were made not by the Tea Party candidates and Tea Party support, but by the failures of the Democratic Party and the shining brilliance of the Good Old Boy Republicans.  He's again taken to lambasting the Tea Parties, proclaiming that Tea Party candidates will bite the dust in November.  

If that prediction comes to fruition, I'll eat his shirt. 

According to the polls, Americans are fed up with the Democrats and the Obama imbeciles.  They do really want a change this time around.  But their displeasure doesn't end there; they are not enamored with the establishment Republicans, either.  That last statement is proven in the growing numbers of Independents and Libertarians.  

As I see it, Americans are more attuned to the Tea Party philosophy today than ever before.  We want... we demand... a return to fundamental principles of a good, sound, Constitutional form of government.  This lawlessness and cavalier attitude about the American public has simply got to stop.  My guess is that Tea Party candidates will win in November, and that even McConnell is going to be sent packing.

OBAMACARE REBELLION

In Connecticut, tens of thousands of gun owners are refusing to abide by a new law and register their guns, although they face fines and possible jail time. 

In the rest of America, ObamaCare signups are running pathetically behind minimum projections required to make the program work.  Americans understand that, although they were denied a vote on the passage of ObamaCare, they can vote by refusing to comply with the Obama cram-down.  Registration figures are at best 50% of where they need to be and several states say 50% of those have not yet paid a dime toward coverage.  

Obama is reacting by ignoring the massive rebellion against his "signature legislation;" he's throwing hundreds of millions of more dollars into a massive advertising and sign-up blitz using more tax-payer dollars to pay for it.  In Maryland alone, they've already spent more than $10,000 per person trying to get people to enroll. 

Mr. President, Americans have had enough of your arrogant disregard for the public will.  Now, sir, it's time for Americans to say... "Up yours, sir."

WE'RE GONNA GET SCREWED, BIG TIME

At first glance, one would wonder why no other nations are willing to back us in our efforts, lame as they are, to help the Ukraine against Russia.  After all, we won World War II for them and have come to their aid countless times before.  Even Britain and Germany are backing off. 

Well, if you're a nation that's going to stand with America against the big bully on the block, you'd like a little reassurance that America will in return stand with you if Russia decides to shut off your natural gas or to take some other action against you.  So, you size up how Obama has handled Egypt, Syria, North Korea and Iran... and you get nervous.  Then you analyze how we NOW are standing against Israel and you have to recognize that standing with America against anybody, particularly Putin, is about as dumb a move as you can make.  

The problem is, even if Obama came out and staunchly took a proactive position, nobody believes a word he says any more.  As far as leaders go, Obama is as sapless as you can get. 

They're saying in the media that North Korea, Iran and Syria are watching us as we deal with Putin.  So are the terrorists.  Would you be afraid of us? 

Here we are, sitting ducks on a rudderless ship, flailing about in a very dangerous ocean of enemies.  Don't you think it's time to get off your ass and DO something about it?

OBAMA DUMPS ON ISRAEL AGAIN

Obama says Israel can expect to face international isolation and possible sanctions from countries and companies across the world if Benjamin Netanyahu fails to endorse a framework agreement with the Palestinians.  In an interview with Bloomberg, Obama stressed that time is running out for Israel to achieve a peace deal.  The president went on to condemn in no uncertain terms Israel’s settlement activities in the West Bank, according to a TIMES OF ISRAEL report.  

Obama has single-handedly destroyed virtually every strong relationship the U.S. has built with international allies; he has isolated us in the international community.  Dumping on Israel and virtually severing our ties with that State is a horrible move, given that Israel has been our strongest ally in the Middle East.  He's also pushed Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Turkey away.  

As of this moment, we have less influence and respect in the Middle East than we have had in abut 75 years.  Of course, he's also antagonized virtually every segment of our domestic society as well, leaving himself in the position of being one man against the world. 

It's high time someone puts him in his place.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Obama stressed that time was running out for Israel to achieve a peace deal, and added that he believed Netanyahu had the capacity to rally Israel’s citizens behind an agreement.

IRANIAN WAR MOVE AGAINST ISRAEL?

The Israeli Navy has intercepted an Iranian cargo ship loaded with Iranian missiles evidently destined for Hamas in Gaza.  A murky trail of paperwork and the circuitous route of the Panama-flagged ship showed a major effort to hide the cargo and the parties involved. The Israeli Defense Forces say the weapons aboard the ship, now being towed to the southern Israeli port of Eilat on the Red Sea, were bound for the terrorist enclave of Gaza via the Sinai Peninsula.  

Sinai, the lawless peninsula between Egypt's mainland and Israel, has in recent years become a hotbed of jihadist activity.  Many attacks against Israel have been launched from Gaza in the past, and this missile shipment could indicate on overt move by Iran to facilitate such an attack using Iranian M-302 missiles.  As second possibility is that the missiles would be used by Hamas against Egypt.  

I doubt that the Iranians would try this move if the United States was more proactive in dealing with such threats.  Events involving Syria, North Korea, Iran and now the Ukraine not only embolden terrorist groups and radical Islamic states, but the impetus is for them to make as much headway as possible in their agendas before Obama leaves office.  

Things in that part of the world are "testy" to say the least.  I think the danger of World War III has never been greater than it is right now.  Thank you, Mr. President.  Why don't you take your Nobel Peace Prize and shove it?

That was the final message from Rachel Canning, the New Jersey honor student, to her mother after Rachel ran away from home.  Rachel just lost a lawsuit demanding that her parents pay her support and college tuition.  “Do we want to establish a precedent where parents live in basic fear of establishing rules of the house?” Judge Bogaard asked in court.  

Well, why not?  Total strangers are interfering in how we raise our children by demanding they associate with gays, restricting what we feed them and ad infinitum.  So, why shouldn't children be able to establish the rules of the house in which they live?  

Do you like what this country has become?  Neither do I.

It was revealed yesterday that America's intelligence agencies failed by not forecasting the Russian invasion of Crimea.  How this can be when we were as a nation all expecting it as soon as the Olympics were over?  Maybe it was because the NSA, the CIA, the IRS, the DOJ, the FBI and the Pentagon Intelligence were all busy targeting conservative groups and peering at us through our webcams.  

I'm sorry, boys, but it was Obama and Kerry caught with their pants down, not us Americans.

THE UKRANIAN MYTH

Since Obama and Kerry have both made it plain that we are not ever going to use military intervention against Putin in the Ukraine, or anywhere else for that matter, it seems that the Russians have a wide-open waiver to begin re-assimilation of the Soviet Union.  After all, who is going to stop them: Finland? The proof of our impotency lies in a 90-minute Obama to Putin phone call pleading for their withdrawal from Crimea and a wailing plea from Kerry in Kiev yesterday lamenting the suffering of the Ukranians and asserting that the Russian invasion is a violation of international law.  

Certainly, Putin must be shaking in his boots. 

"Wait a minute!" Obama, Kerry and the rest of the dimwit Marxist Mafia proclaim, "We can destroy Russia with economic sanctions!  Their economy can't stand it!" 

Can ours? 

How long can our economy last with $8 gas prices, increasing unemployment, a sagging housing market, looming inflation... ???

Kerry said yesterday in Kiev, "Let us set the record straight."  Yes, let's do that.  The Obama regime has led this country and the free world into a long, very dark alley through its bungling in Syria, North Korea, Iran and the Ukraine and the simultaneous announcement that we are going to continue Obama's relentless decimation of our national security and military.   

Outside of that, all of Obama's and Kerry's words are empty, meaningless and useless.  The Ukraine is soon to be again part of the Russian empire and Ronald Reagan has got to be rolling over in his grave.

OBAMA'S UKRANIAN POSTURE IS DISGUSTING

Obama warned Putin on Friday to stay out of the Ukraine, or there would be "costs."  Putin obliged by sending troops into Crimea, to which Obama said he was "deeply concerned."  Then he spent 90 minutes on the phone with Putin on Saturday, evidently pleading with Putin to get back out of Crimea, a peninsula province of Ukraine.  90 minutes?  90 minutes?  

There was an emergency meeting of the National Security Council at the White House and Obama showed how important this invasion is on the world stage by... not attending.  Shades of Benghazi, Obama was probably on the commode again!  Can we now expect Susan Rice to come out and blame a video for the invasion?  

Well, to his credit Obama got "briefed" after-the-fact on the results of the meeting, just like he got "briefed" on the Benghazi attack before flying off to Vegas on a campaign stop.  And Bronze Star recipient John Kerry subsequently came out and "condemned" Russia's action. BFD. 

Things are so bad with this President that even Castro is starting to feel sorry for us. 

The question is... How far are you going to let Obama run this country into the ground before you, the people, stand up and do something about it?

AN AMERICAN'S APPEAL

Americans have every right to know what is going on with those in their government.  The guarantees of freedom of the press contained in the Bill of Rights provide the press and media with the ability to report the news factually and without interference from the government.  That is a freedom not allowed the press in every country.  

The trade-off for a free press is that we, the people, trust the press to report to us objectively and completely.  Failure to do less is a violation of that trust.  

These are dangerous times in our country and the world.  Now, perhaps more than ever, we need to know the objective truth.  I appeal to those journalists who want to live up to the definition of the word to lay aside their personal beliefs and agendas and to step forward openly, completely, and patriotically to seek out the facts and report them to us as they are. 

To do less proves the supposition that they have become puppets of the regime.
